Larissa went outside with Emmy while also signaling to her assistant manager with her eyes that he should head back himself first. Emmy stopped at the elevator and asked Larissa, "Do you have a bar here?" She did not look good, and her smile was very forced.

The fourth floor of Winston Hotel was a chill bar with all kinds of alcohol, and the environment was very tranquil, so Larissa brought her there.

The resident singer had yet to leave. Her hoarse voice was singing softly at low pitches, which caused the atmosphere to be a little bleak for some reason.

Emmy was not in a good state, so Larissa did not allow her to order any strong alcohol and only ordered two glasses of tap beer for each of them.

"Don't be angry, Emmy," Larissa advised her as she touched her glass to hers.

"I'm not angry! Who says I am?" Emmy downed a huge mouthful of beer and slammed her glass down. With a loud bang, the golden liquid splattered everywhere on the table.

Hearing this, the waiter came over and asked carefully if assistance was required. Larissa got him to clean the table before dismissing him. She did not dare speak anymore and just drank her beer quietly. "That fucking shameless whore! It's been so many years, and she still hasn't changed a bit!" Emmy snarled angrily as she cursed Yvette out through gritted teeth.

To Larissa, Yvette was very flawed, but she never thought that the descriptor of "whore" would ever be used on her.

"What do you mean?" she asked out of curiosity, which inadvertently opened up a whole can of worms.

Emmy was of the same generation as Yvette, even though she was younger than the latter by a few years. Emmy had witnessed all of Yvette's past affairs, and because they were in the same industry, Emmy was able to clearly see Yvette's dark side that she had hidden behind the glamor of the spotlights.

"Yvette was the mistress of a wealthy businessman when she just debuted. Everyone in the industry knows that. Her bitchiness at that time was because of the fact that she had a powerful backer, so no one dared to offend her."

Larissa listened quietly, her emotions still calm as ever. She had put herself in the shoes of a bystander who had no relation to Yvette whatsoever, observing this all in a composed and objective manner. "But that businessman was also a piece of shit, because he made his fortune by way of his wife, and still fucked around anyway. His wife wasn't someone you wanted to screw around with, 'cause Yvette got pregnant then. Almost three months passed, and she forced Yvette to abort the baby and even got her banned from the industry. Yvette begged a lot of people like she's doing now, all because she's got a bit of charm and beauty to seduce men everywhere! That asshole Morgan nearly fell for her too!" Emmy gripped the beer cup hard as if she was clutching at Morgan.

"Thank goodness that businessman's wife was amazing with her methods, having put some really harsh words out there so that no one in the industry dared to actually help Yvette. Morgan and I had not been together then, I was only a junior assistant of his. I saw how he did everything he could for Yvette, running around everywhere for her, and groveling to others on her behalf.

"When things never worked out, he would still call Yvette every other day to apologize, sending her flowers, jewelry, and all kinds of gifts, but she didn't give a shit about him anyway, throwing a massive temper tantrum at him and calling him useless as well as telling him to stop harassing her.

"Then half a year passed, and Yvette probably thought that she had no hope of reemerging, not to mention all the rumors out there saying that she was not showing herself because she had gotten married, so she randomly found some honest guy who did not know about her and married him."

Larissa guessed that the "honest guy" Emmy spoke of was her biological father who had passed on early.

"After Yvette got married, there was no news of her for two to three years. When I saw her again, she was already the lady boss of Cosmic Entertainment. I have no idea how Yvette hooked up with Xavier-but she probably seduced him as she always does. If she's not showing herself in front of me, that's good, because I have no fucking energy to give a shit about her. I thought Morgan had already moved on from her, but who knew that the moment Yvette came looking for him, he couldn't wait to bend over backward to help her again!" Emmy's tone was harsh, but her eyes showed some fragility.

"Morgan always declines Yvette's calls in front of me, but I've secretly checked his call history. Whenever I'm not around, he has contacted her so many times." She lifted a hand to wipe away the gathering tears in her eyes. "What's so good about Yvette anyway? Why do so many men like her?"
