"You will pay for this!" she muttered angrily as she passed by Larissa.

Larissa smirked in amusement. "Ms. Xander, your payback hasn't arrived yet. So, I'm afraid you'll have to wait a little longer for mine."

Yvette was left speechless and unable to respond.

As soon as Yvette left, Larissa's assistant hurriedly rushed in. "Ms. Seymour, are you okay?" He looked at her with concern, scanning her up and down. "Yeah, I'm fine. Have the security guards escort Yvette out directly when she shows up next time," she ordered with a slight smile.

He nodded in response. "Sure, I'll take care of it."

Meantime, Yvette seethed with frustration after being humiliated by Larissa. She could only vent her anger by pressing the hotel elevator's buttons vigorously.

"Slut! She's just as worthless as the useless wimp! I should have never given birth to her!" she muttered under her breath. As she cursed, the elevator reached the top floor. The doors slowly opened with a ding.

She entered the elevator without looking and collided with someone about to step out.

"Ah!" She rubbed her sore forehead and scolded without looking up, "Watch where you're going! Are you in a hurry to die?"

"The one who walked carelessly and bumped into me is you, ma'am." A cold voice echoed from above her head, with no attempt to hide the contempt. "Not to mention, your foundation stained my clothes." Although Yvette had been treated like a servant in the Seymour family for decades, she had always been showered with flattery and indulgence when she went out. Today, encountering two people in a row, who didn't consider her important, ignited a fiery rage within her.

"How much are your cheap clothes even worth, anyway? I'll reimburse you!" She took out a stack of bills from her wallet and slapped them on the other person's face. Pink banknotes floated in the air, twirling like butterflies, before slowly landing on the ground.

"Well, this 'cheap' piece of clothing of mine costs over 13,000 dollars. The measly amount you just tossed isn't nearly enough. If you don't have the money, forget about compensating me. I never said you had to," the other person replied with a hint of disdain.

When had Yvette ever been looked down upon like this?

"You!" She glared at the towering man angrily. He stood over six feet tall, forcing her to strain her neck to meet his gaze. "Enough. Don't waste time. There are more important things to attend to." A gravelly voice came from behind the man. "Apologies, Mr. Logan." The previously arrogant man suddenly assumed a respectful and submissive demeanor.

This piqued Yvette's curiosity, and she couldn't help but feel curious about the man's identity. Their eyes locked as that person stepped out of the shadows, and in that instant, her bag slipped from her hand and fell to the ground.

Her mouth hung open, and her eyes revealed a mix of fear and disbelief. "Y-Y-You!" She pointed at Gary, who remained composed, and her voice trembled as if she had seen something horrifying. "Didn't you die?"

"Sorry to disappoint you." Gary smiled, and coldness flickered across his eyes. He stepped out of the elevator and locked his sharp, eagle-like gaze on Yvette, leaving her on edge.

"After all these years, don't you have anything to explain to me?" Gary approached her slowly.

She nervously stepped back. "I" Suddenly, something dawned on her, and she exclaimed, "It's you! You and Larissa are in cahoots! You motherfuckers deserve to die!"
