Chapter 569
A handsome, attractive face was reflected in the mirror. At this moment, he had an expression of aroused lust on his face.
His cheeks were flushed red from being turned on and his eyes were burning with desire.
Parting his lips, Kevan raised his hand and stretched out his tongue. His eyes were half-closed as he licked every bit of the cream off his fingers slowly, imagining himself licking her soft and juicy pink lips. However, this was just a futile attempt to quench his thirst for her touch.
Not only did it not satisfy him, his actions further intensified his longing to be intimate with her.
Kevan clenched his fists, digging his nails into his flesh as he tried to alleviate his pent-up desire by the pain radiating from his palm.
After about five minutes, he emerged from the restroom.
Afraid of arousing suspicion, he even pretended to flush the toilet bowl.
Larissa had already finished the cake and Gary was wiping her mouth with a tissue.
When Gary heard the sound of the restroom door creaking, he glanced at Kevan briefly and asked, "Mr. Rogers, is there anything else before you leave?"
Looking straight at Gary, Kevan nodded solemnly. "I need to talk to you about the partnership with Soaring Corporation and Blue Star Shipping."
Gary refused coldly. "I'm on vacation, so no business talk."
In order to focus on taking care of Larissa, Gary had handed over the running of his company affairs to a trusted subordinate on the other side of the globe, only making crucial decisions on important projects.
"Well..." Kevan turned to Lewis instead.
Naturally, Lewis did not dare to defy Gary. "I'm sorry, Mr. Rogers. I'm on vacation as well," he replied helplessly.
Kevan grabbed onto his arm and dragged Lewis out of the hospital ward. "It will only take three minutes."
Dylan followed after them in a hurry. As he left, he waved goodbye to Larissa. "I'll come to see you when I have time! Goodbye!"
Kevan dragged Lewis to an empty stairwell.
Larissa was staying on the upper floors of the orthopedic ward. The stairs were usually deserted as most of the people used the elevators to go up or down, making it a good place to talk discreetly. Lewis was completely taken by surprise from the moment Kevan dragged him out of the hospital ward.
The dim surroundings at the stairwell made Lewis feel uncomfortable and even a little nervous. "Mr. Rogers, what are you trying to do?"
Breaking free from Kevan's grasp, Lewis climbed two steps up the stairs, so that he was towering above Kevan. This made him feel more secure.
"I already told you, I need to talk to you about the partnership between Soaring Corporation and Blue Star Shipping," Kevan answered.
"Mr. Logan is personally handling this project, so talking to me won't be of any use. Besides, you are not affiliated with Soaring Corporation any longer, aren't you, Mr. Rogers?" Lewis didn't know what Kevan was up to, so he had his guard up.
"It's true that I have no connection to Soaring Corporation now, but I received some insider information that might be helpful to you," Kevan replied with a smile.
After a moment, Lewis exclaimed in shock, "Are you ... are you telling the truth?"
He couldn't help stuttering when he heard the astounding news from Kevan.
Kevan nodded. "I have no reason to lie to you."
Lewis took out his phone immediately and apologized to Kevan, "Let me make a call."
Kevan gestured for him to go ahead. "Sure."
Lewis made a call and when the call was connected, he ordered impatiently, "There's a problem with that batch of goods. Stop everything this instant!"
