Chapter 1429 Sealing The Blood Poison

Suddenly, Darren felt a sharp pain coming from his shoulder. In the blink of an eye, he felt as though countless sharp thorns were pressing into his meridians.

"Poison?"

Darren wondered confusedly.

Before he could act, he realized that half of his body had gone completely numb.

And yet, Darren felt no sense of urgency. Not caring about the poison, he trained his eyes on Elsa, who had been happily lapping up his blood.

Seeing her contented expression, Darren grinned in satisfaction.

"Elsa, if you truly like my blood that much, I'll let you drink from it every day.”

As he spoke, Darren raised his left arm, as though offering it to her. A sword intent flew out immediately and cut a wound in his wrist. God's power sent the fresh blood straight to Elsa's mouth. Her eyes flashed fiercely as she greedily sucked Darren's blood. This reaction was only natural; after all, she was partly transformed by the bloodsucker race.

Darren made no move to stop her until he saw that Elsa was content.

"Darren, stop!"

Gilmer exclaimed, suddenly flying over anxiously.

"Don’t worry, Gilmer. Maybe my blood will make her feel better..." Noticing Elsa's contented expression, Darren's spirit soared.

"You don't know what you're doing!" Gilmer shot Darren an angry glare. "The reason why Elsa and the leader of the Blood Cloud Region were not completely transformed by the Defiant Bloodsucker Prince was that they didn't get enough blood nourishment. This hindered their transformation process. But now, you're providing blood for her! If she is completely transformed, you will regret it." He wagged his finger at him

Darren's jaw dropped in shock. He had no idea he was doing something so stupid!

"Well, it's not too late to stop what you're doing. More importantly, you'd better suppress the poison streaming along your veins. I'll send for a master rule cultivator to treat you.” Gilmer paused, his brows furrowing deeply. In a low voice, he added, "The blood poison is very powerful. If treated too late, you'll be paralyzed forever.”

It was no easy feat to rid one's system of the Defiant Bloodsucker Prince's blood poison. Even if one were to cut off the poisoned part of their body, the new body part that'd grow in its place would still be poisoned.

As soon as the poison took over one's body, the warrior would be paralyzed forever.

With Gilmer's urgent warning, Darren shifted his focus to examining the blood poison making its way along his body.

As Darren did an internal scan, the blood poison quickly dispersed into countless, infinitesimal creatures that rushed into Darren's meridians.

Taking action quickly, Darren mobilized his god's power to remove the blood poison. However, it was futile.

Whenever the god's power came into contact with the blood poison, it would automatically dissipate.

"What powerful poison!" Darren exclaimed through gritted teeth.

It didn't take long before Darren felt he was losing control of some parts of his body. A numbness began to overtake him.

"Assimilate.”

Before the numbness took over his body completely, Darren quickly activated the Assimilating Force in a final attempt to remove the blood poison in his meridians.

Then, something strange happened. The blood poison took on a quality of a living creature, dodging the Assimilating Force as though it were conscious!

As the blood poison continued to consume Darren's body, he wracked his brains trying to think of a way to overcome it. Even if he condensed a new body, the blood poison would still be there. If he didn't act fast, he would be paralyzed for good.

This just went to show how powerfully unique the method of the Defiant Bloodsucker Prince was! Fortunately, the blood poison left in Elsa's body was nowhere near as strong as that of the Defiant Bloodsucker Prince. Otherwise, Darren would have been dead in minutes.

Darren noted calmly.

"Merge!"

Finally, Darren released his Merging Force.

As the Merging Force circulated in his meridians, the blood poison finally met its match. Gradually, the blood poison melted into wisps of blood vitality that wandered aimlessly along Darren's meridians.

Even though the blood poison had already been turned into blood vitality, Darren's body still suffered.

Thus, he mobilized his god's power to herd the blood vitality into his elixir field.

"Seal!"

Darren frowned slightly. There were several God Characters in his elixir field. Now, he had to force his blood vitality into one of them in order to suppress it.

After thinking for a while, Darren decided to seal it into the Blade God Character. This wasn't the first time he'd dealt with poison. In the past, he had attached itchy poison to his sword intent. His Sword God Character had been infused with the source of itchy poison. If he forced the blood vitality into it again, he didn't know what to expect.

Deciding not to take the risk, Darren pushed the blood vitality into the Blade God Character with his god's power instead. An overwhelming amount of blade intent surrounded it at once.

As soon as the blood vitality was sealed, the suffering ceased, and Darren's body began to recover. This entire process didn't take too long. In fact, it only took Darren around five minutes to suppress the blood poison.

"Eh?" Gilmer raised an eyebrow in surprise, as he noticed Darren's speedy recovery. "How did you heal so soon?"

He and several elders all eyed Darren. They were just about to summon a rule cultivator to treat Darren, so it had taken them all by surprise that Darren was able to heal himself.

After all, they were all keenly aware of just how formidable the blood poison was.

In the past, an elder at the top level of the Celestial God Realm was once infected with the blood poison of the leader of the Blood Cloud Region. Half an hour later, it was declared he was incurable. Even the masters of the Immortal Land couldn't do anything about it.

"Maybe it's because my body is immune to all poisons," Darren said with a nonchalant shrug. "That's good, that's good,” Gilmer said, nodding in relief.

He and the others all knew that Defiant Masters’ bodies were special, so they did not ask any more questions.

"Darren, do you want to stay here with your wife or would you like to rest in the palace?”

Since everything was settled here, he and the others needed to leave. During the absence of the leader of the Blood Cloud Region, as the senior executives, they had other matters to take care of. "You may go ahead. I'll stay and cultivate here. I'll go out when Weber comes back," Darren replied. "Okay, but remember not to give her any more blood," Gilmer cautioned.

"I know," Darren said, smiling sheepishly. He knew better now. If giving blood to Elsa did more harm than good, Darren wouldn't dare do it again

When the others left, Darren stood before the cage that imprisoned Elsa. He stared at her, deep in thought.

Ever since he met Elsa, he seldom got to be with her. Regretting this deeply, he felt indebted to her in some way.

In that moment, Darren silently vowed to himself that he must protect Elsa at all costs. Staring at her grimly, he knew that he was willing to die alongside her, if it came to that.

"Elsa, you will recover soon," he whispered gently. "I'm here. Don't be afraid anymore.

I have been thinking about you all these years..."

He smiled at her reassuringly.

Then, Darren sat down cross-legged on the ground, immersing himself in cultivation. He knew that as long as he was there, Elsa would feel secure.

Darren checked his cultivation base. He was now at the top level of the Star God Realm, very close to the Celestial God Realm.

But he knew it wouldn't be easy to reach the next level.

There was a huge gap between the Star God Realm and the Celestial God Realm. However, Darren, at the top level of the Star God Realm, was able to fight against the warriors at the middle-level of the Celestial God Realm. Once he reached the next level, his strength would increase greatly.
