"I’m tired, I need to rest," I muttered without looking at Dexter and began to walk into the house. As soon as I got to the room, I shut the door and began taking off my clothes so I could freshen up and get ready for breakfast.

I simply wanted to have my meal first before Scarlett and Dexter, but unfortunately, when I got downstairs, they were both seated at the dining table,

Scarlett was seated next to him. I halted at the stairs, and heaved, telling myself that there was no need to argue over seating close to my husband, Just as I was about to walk past Dexter so I could take my seat two seats next to her, Dexter grabbed my arm,

"You’re sitting next to me, Amelia." Muttered and averted his gaze to Scarlett. I watched as she widened her eyes at him, but Dexter remained quiet and she was able to guess his silence meant she had to get her butt up,

"You shouldn’t have done that, it makes no difference now," I responded as I took my seat,

"I wasn’t doing it to please you, Amelia, but because it’s your rightful position."

I let out a scoff as I thought about what he had just said. I couldn’t help but process the fact that these same words came out from the same man that had always sided with Scarlett against me and maybe he was still a bit into her.

Those words made my spine cringe so much that I instantly rose to my feet,

"I have no rightful position, Dexter, as long as you don’t put her in her place," I muttered and was about to walk away when he grabbed my wrist again,

"Let me go! I can’t even breathe in the same space as you." I half yelled at him and he raised his gaze at me instantly,

"What if I want you to stay and eat with me"

He questioned me, but I had made up my mind that at this point, he could have the entire meal to himself,
