"Did you think the old man was going to send us here without taking precautions? Till I’m able to figure out how to open all the other room doors in the building, you’re stuck with me in the same room."

"What?" I yelled,

"You’re trying to say all the fucking doors are shut, and you can open them? How’s that even possible?" I yelled again,

"Go see for yourself."

"This is crazy! There’s no damn way I’m sharing a room with you."

"That’s what the contract states dear wife.

"Then I’ll stay in the living room," I uttered and walked out of the room, slamming the door behind me as I stepped out of the room. My anger was fucking piled up and I still couldn’t believe he would let me sleep in the living room instead of him. I certainly did not come here to be in the same space with Dexter Gbecause the main point was for us to be apart from each other,

As I lay on the couch, I shut my eyes for a moment without the slightest idea when I drifted into sleep.

My eyes slowly opened, and I raised my hands so I could stretch my body a bit to reduce the body pain,

Fuck! The couch was very uncomfortable, but one way or the other, I had to keep bearing it,

"You should go get ready, we’re leaving for the hospital in 2 hours" I heard Dexter’s voice from behind me and immediately jerked on the sofa,

"What for"

He came closer until he was behind me,

"You want an artificial insemination, and we’re going to get one. Did you forget the main purpose of this honeymoon? He questioned and I rose to my feet immediately. I didn’t need him to remind me of our deal or what I was supposed to do,

"You don’t have to remind me," I uttered, but he smirked making me arch my brows,

"Just to be clear, Amelia, we’re doing this your way, but if this doesn’t work, then we’re going to do it my way without another option. I hope you understand." He uttered, and I nodded my head in agreement. I was certain it would work, it had to work!

"I’ll be ready in an hour," I uttered and began to head towards the stairs. As I got to the room, a strong vanilla with hot chocolate scent hit my nostrils and I couldn’t help but inhale deeper. Why did his scent have to be so attractive as well? I took off my clothes in a hurry and headed towards the bathroom.

As soon as I was done, I headed downstairs only to see Dexter having his meal,

"I’ll be waiting in the car," I uttered

"Eat." His cold voice uttered, but I didn’t stop walking until I heard my stomach grumble loudly and I cock my head towards his direction,

I was unable to eat last night because of him. He rose to his feet and began walking towards me, then he uttered,

"Meet me outside in ten minutes."

Thankfully, I was able to have something little and we began heading towards the hospital. Nervousness washed through every part of my body when the car came to a halt and I finally knew that was it,

The car door was opened and we both stepped out of the car,

"I booked a secret appointment with the doctor so we would have to be quick," Dexter uttered and began to walk in while I trailed behind him,

"Mr Denver, welcome. Is this your wife?" The doctor questioned, but as he tucked his hand into his pocket, there was no response from him,

"Let’s get this done and over with." He uttered while I rolled my eyes at him from behind,

"This way, please. We’ll just have to check how fertile your eggs are and whether they’re ready." The doctor announced and I nodded, trailing behind her. At least I was thankful he wasn’t coming along,

As I got into the ward, I took off my gown and was given a blue gown to put on. I lay on the bed gently while she began getting ready. I watched as she put on a mask to cover her nose and some gloves too,

"Give me a minute Ms Denver." She uttered and stepped out of the ward while I simply lay on the bed, lost in my thoughts about my decision. I was doing this and this also meant spending one freaking year with this bastard,

I had not bothered to calculate the time she had walked out of the ward, but the moment I heard the door sound, I snapped out of my trance and averted my gaze toward her

"A...a...alright Ms Denver. We’ll start the procedure by checking when your ovulation will commence." She informed me but with a rather shaky voice.
