"It’s annoying to even mention her name; talk more of thinking about her, so I’m not going to say."

I heard him burst into laughter,

"I really can’t believe you were forced into getting married finally, Dexter. We all thought it would be completely impossible for you to walk down the aisle with a mate one day, but take a look at that. What about her?" Tyson questioned and I arched my brows,

"Who the hell are you talking about?"

"The spoiled brat of course! Scarlett! She let you get married?"

"Is there a reason why she shouldn’t?"

"Of course, Dexter. She fucking likes you." Tyson yelled on the phone and I felt my heart let out a thump. I would be the first to know if Scarlet did like me, and I was certain she didn’t. She couldn’t possibly like the person who had made her an orphan for the rest of her life.

I had always kept my feelings hidden but somehow Tyson managed to find out about it and just him,

"Let’s not fucking talk about that right now, Tyson. I have a headache and I just want to chill." I responded,

"Good. I guess you got the right person on the phone. Thankfully, I’m in the human world to check on the companies. Let’s meet at our favorite spot in two hours. Catch you..."

"I’m ready baby, make me yours...." A lady’s voice interjected Tyson’s on the phone and I let out a loud scoff, shaking my head even though I wasn’t so shocked,

That was Tyson. He was a damn fucker and could fuck any damn thing under a skirt,

"You really did come to check up on the companies, indeed Tyson. Have fun, I need to be somewhere." I uttered and was about to end the call, but he spoke,

"Hey, hey, how about we go have fun tonight? There’s this fucking hot bitch...’

"I’m not interested right now Tyson," I Interjected, but he scoffed aloud,

"Don’t tell me you plan on becoming a loyal dog?"

"Get the hell out of my phone, man; you know me. better than anyone else,” I responded and hung up the call before he could reply and let out a deep sigh.

I parked my car in front of a building and stepped out of it,

"Good day, Alpha." I was greeted by an older lady but I didn’t respond,

She moved aside and I continued to walk in, heading straight for a room. I tucked my hand into my pocket and brought out the keys which only I was in possession of,

"Here, keep this until I’m done. No matter how long, I don’t want to be disturbed." I told the old lady as I handed her my phone. Once she collected it, she walked away while I tucked the key into the keyhole and opened the door,

I hadn’t been here in weeks, but I was here now. I was here to spend some quality time with her.

I took a deep breath in and out as I twisted the knob and stepped into the room. Thankfully, the cologne I remembered still filled the room.

I shut the door and walked further into the room,
