Catherine's

POV:

It is today and I'm so f**king nervous.

I have to look my best.

I have to go to a salon and get my hair done, I have to fix my nails and shave my eyebrows.

Yes, today I'm getting on my way of transcending into a real adult.

I just can't wait for it to all happen.

"Why are you so excited?" Vivian asked me, I was inside the living room with a bowl of popcorn and a drink while watching a K-drama that I saw on Netflix last night.

I guess Vivian is that one person that was created to always spoil my happiness.

"Nothing much, I'm just excited for prom." I responded with a smile on my face.

I continued watching TV while waiting patiently for her to f**k off.

She rolled her eyes and walked away.

Huuh! Mood spoiler.

I couldn't stop thinking about what today would be like.

At noon, I got dressed and left the house. I was on my way to get my hair and nails done.

I am so excited for tonight, I want to have fun for the last time and be happy: a bitch can have fun too.

"What would you like to do with your hair?" The salon woman asked me.

"I want it to be curly and wavy," I responded. She smiled and told me to sit down.

"For prom night?" She asked me and I nodded my head.

"That is so sweet, I remember my prom day in high school, it was so much fun, I lost my v card that night." She said and laughed.

I am not going to lose my virginity to any random boy in school. I have it directed all in my head how my first time would be and it's not losing it to any random person.

I want it to be with the guy I love and trust, the boy I share a bond with, not just anybody.

"That is crazy," I told her and shook my head.

"Baby girl, you are yet to experience the spirit of prom night, you're going to lose it to that boy you secretly love, mark my words."

No. I'm not going to think about it.

Ace won't have s*x with me. He might have touched me and kissed me but s*x is a whole level.

I have to stop thinking about s*x and get this hair done with, I only have a few hours before I start getting ready.

"Good for you." I said to lighten the mood.

I look so different. A whole lot different.

I've never touched my hair before and now I look like a woman.

I love it!

My nails were painted red and they are beautiful too.

It was 6:45 p.m and I've already taken my bath and started getting ready.

A black beautiful long gown is waiting for me on the bed, including my matching red underwear.

I know what you're thinking, and yes, I went all out for tonight, haha.

In the next fifteen minutes Ace will come and pick me up.

I need to hurry up.

I grabbed my underwear and wore it, then sat down to put on my make-up.

I put on red lipstick to match with my underwear, and I don't care if nobody is seeing it. I'm wearing it for myself.

After putting on my make-up, I stepped into my dress.

It was long with a huge slit on the left. Bold of me.

Didn't know that I have such boldness in me.

I guess I'm just learning more about myself everyday.

I was still getting myself ready when I heard the sound of a car stopping in front of my house.

Ace Hampton is here for me.

I grabbed my purse and walked out of my room in my incredibly high heels.

I'm going to fall on my face today, that's for sure.

I slowly climb downstairs and also try to calm my racing heart down.

I am nervous. I don't know how today is going to play out.

"Catherine, you have a visitor." Uncle Alex told me immediately he saw me.

I raised my eyes up and it met with that of Ace.

He looked drop dead gorgeous in his black suit and tie.

I became suddenly timid.

"Hi," I greeted him.

He smirked and walked towards me.

"You look beautiful." He said to me. Ace has never called me beautiful before.

He has never complimented me like this.

"Thank you," I murmured.

"Uncle, Ace is my date to prom." I said, Uncle was silent for a while, it was as if he just saw a ghost. He looked so terrified.

"Yes, of course. Have fun." He said to me when he regained himself.

What was that all about?

Ace presented his hand to me and I placed mine on his. He took my hand and turned to face uncle Alex, a cocky smile on his face.

"I will take care of her, don't worry." He told him.

Oh boy. Why do I feel like he is taunting uncle Alex?

Ace led me out of the house and to his car.

He opened the passenger's side for me and I stepped in.

Ace walked across to the driver's side and opened the door then sat down.

He glanced at me then smiled before turning on the car's ignition.

That smile isn't good at all.

He drove out of our compound and hit the highway while blasting Lil Wayne's 'Lollipop'.

"Your hair looks different, it is beautiful though." Ace told me.

Was he praising me or mocking me? I don't know but I kept quiet anyway I didn't want to spoil the mood.

He drove his car inside the school parking lot and I made to step down but he stopped me.

"You look different tonight, sexy even. Did you dress all up for Anitra? Are you finally going to confess your feelings to him?" Ace inquired. I pressed my lips together, I was embarrassed for myself.

"It has nothing to do with you, I might decide to confess my feelings to him tonight If i want to, it is my feeling and not yours." I said and pushed the car door open then got out.

Ace got out of the car and took my hand in his.

I looked up to his face but his expression had turned blank.

I couldn't read his face, I didn't know if he was angry or not.

I was already hearing the laughter and voices of our classmates in the hall where the prom was going to take place.

Ace lowered his head to my heart and whispered.

"Stay with me tonight."

I shouldn't have read the meaning of that word but I did. I did so much that I am angry at myself.

When we walked inside the hall, everybody stopped to look at us.

Ace and I looked like a couple in our black outfit.

Too many eyes were on us and I felt nervous. My fingers were trembling and my teeth were chattering. I need to focus.

Ace squeezed my hand and glanced at me.

"Look at that! Don't they look cute?" Anitra asked out of nowhere.

Oh man. This won't be funny at all
