"What am I going to do mow babe? Your mother has seen me. She obviously won't give up on her quest for revenge. What should I do?" I asked him. The question has been disturbing me all day. I just don't understand why she seems so interested in punishing me when her husband moved to the United Kingdom because she was too busy building her empire and political career to care about her family. When I got inside the house, Mom was sitting down on a couch inside the living room, watching a TV show.

"Hi, Mom." I greeted her. She looked up at me and smiled.

"You came back late and you look happy, tell me what happened." She said and I started blushing. I couldn't believe that she noticed my mood when I've been trying not to be 'too happy'.

"Nothing happened Mom. Ace and I are back together." I told her and her face lit up.

"That is so sweet! Congratulations sweetie." She said and I nodded my head.

"Oh my God. I am famished, I need to eat food." I said as I started walking to the kitchen. "What did Margaret made for dinner, Mom?"

"Cheesesteak croissants and chocolate chips for dessert."

I walked inside the kitchen and grabbed a plate from the cupboard and fixed myself my dinner.

I sat down on the kitchen table, eating my food. I grabbed my phone from my purse and checked my WhatsApp. Talia sent me five unread messages. I clicked on it and it was just questions about Ace and I.

I quickly responded to her and scrolled down my WhatsApp. I checked Talia's WhatsApp status and I smirked. A guy's hands were wrapped around her wa!st and her back pressed against him but I couldn't see the person's face.

When I came across Anitra's status I sighed annoyingly.

I don't know the reason why she's trying so hard to hide him. I just don't.

"You will find out on your own very soon." She told me and I scoffed. I took a bite of my cheesesteak croissants and closed my eyes, absorbing the taste.

It was heavenly. Delicious.

"So how was it with Ace?' she asked me, I could see the hope in her eyes. I wished I had something more to say but I had nothing.

I only pray that I don't run into Veronica Hampton when I'm alone or ever again.

"It went great. He was surprised after I told him everything but he still understood me. Fvcked my brain off that I couldn't walk." I said and she bursted into a fit of laughter.
