Jemma’s POV

3 weeks later

The sunlight streamed through the curtains of our room as I awoke to my son and mate happily sleeping beside me. Since our capture, Nicky had been having nightmares and slept with Cassius and me most nights. He and Cassius had fully bonded. Even Enoch was bonded to Nicky’s wolf Lasher. Cassius formally adopted Nicky so now he was Prince Nicholas Warner Fury. He didn’t seem to miss Jeremy at all.

I sighed as I gently stroked my son’s cheek before rolling off the bed. Cassius stirred as he felt the bed move. I was dressed in a nightgown the went to my knees. I walked into the bathroom and started the shower. I placed my hands on my growing belly. I was two and a half months pregnant. I sighed as I stepped into the shower. I wasn’t alone long before his hands were on my tender breasts gently kneading them. “We don’t want Nicky to wake up.”

He rumbled lowly in my ear. “He is out like a light.” He kissed my cheek and then trailed k****s down my cheeks before turning me around to face him.

“Either way. Let’s just shower.” I said to him and his face fell. “We’ll have Elizabeth watch him tonight so we can get some alone time.” I smiled at him as we kissed. Jeremy’s mother Elizabeth had moved into the palace. After losing both her mate and only child in the same week she was distraught and the only thing that kept her going was spending time with Nicky. So I offered her to stay with us and act as his nanny which she happily accepted.

Cassius and I quickly finished our shower and I wrapped a towel around my body. I walked out of the bathroom and Nicky was sitting up on the bed. “Good morning, Nicky.”

He smiled and hopped off the bed and ran over to the couch and turned on the TV. I went into the closet to decide on this morning’s outfit. Everything I owned was beginning to get tight around my waist so picking an outfit was becoming frustrating. As I was looking through my skirts I felt fluttering in my belly. I stopped and sat on a chair and just placed my hand on my belly. It was the first kicks. Tears welled up in my eyes as I felt them kicking more and I was in a trance as I just felt them kicking.

“Jemma?” I heard Cassius’s voice break me out of the trance.

I looked up at him with tears in my eyes.

“What’s wrong?” He asked with concern and knelt in front of me.

I grabbed his hand and placed it on my belly. “I feel them kicking.”

His face broadened into the happiest smile. He laughed softly as tears welled up in his eyes. The king of the werewolves was reduced to tears as he felt his pups kicking for the first time. “This.” He whispered and laid his cheek on my soft skin. The kicks increased as he kissed my belly. “This is the most wonderful feeling in the world.” He muttered.

I ran my hand through his hair as he just lay on my belly. For a moment the rest of the world disappeared. “Mommy, Daddy?” Nicky’s voice came from the closet door.

I looked over at him. “What Nicky?”

He ran in and looked at Cassius. “What is wrong with Daddy?”

Cassius had tears in his eyes. I smiled at my son. “Nothing. Your baby brother and sister are kicking in my belly.”

Nicky c****d his head. Cassius lifted his face from my belly and reached for Nicky. “Here Nick. Feel them.” He placed Nicky’s hand on my belly and I felt the kicks and my pup smiled.

“How did they get in there?”

Cassius and I exchanged a look. “Um,” Cassius looked at me.

I cleared my throat. “The Moon Goddess blessed me and that’s how they got in there.”

Nicky seemed to accept that answer as he removed his hand. “Can I have waffles for breakfast?”

I nodded. “Yes. Now go watch your cartoons while we get dressed and then I think Nana is taking you to the park today.”

He clapped his little hands and ran out of the closet. I sighed and laughed. “Good save, love,” Cassius smirked at me.

I rummaged through my clothes and tried on several different things. Tears welled up in frustration as it seemed everything was too tight. “Dammit.” I nearly yelled.

“What’s wrong?”

I folded my arms and sat on the chair in a huff. “Nothing fits,” I growled. “It’s all your fault.”

He shrugged. “I won’t deny it.” He snickered.

Growling I stood up and pulled a pair of sweatpants from a drawer. It was the only thing that felt comfortable. I didn’t care at this point. I put on a white blouse and a pair of sneakers.

Cassius was dressed in one of his finer suits making me look like a hobo. I frowned as I looked myself over in the mirror. “I look like a bum next to you.”

He wrapped his arms around me and kissed the top of my head. “You look like the beautiful mother of my children to me..”

I rolled my eyes. “You always say that,” I grumbled as I pulled out of his hold. He sighed as I walked out of the closet. “Come on Nicky. Let’s get you dressed.”

He hopped off the couch and followed me into his room. I started looking through his drawers. I tried picking several different shirts for him and he said no to each one. I felt myself getting frustrated. “Dammit Nicholas.”I stomped my foot and he flinched back from me. “I’m sorry. I just need you to pick something.” I held up a couple more shirts and he shook his head. I growled with frustration.

He yelped and ran towards the door of his room as Cassius entered. “Daddy!” He shouted and my mate picked him up.

“Why are you yelling at the pup, love?”

I sat on his bed. “He won’t tell me what he wants to wear. All of my clothes don’t fit and Nicky won’t pick any of his clothes.” I started sobbing as I spewed nonsense leaving my males looking at me with confusion.

“Why is Mommy crying?” Nicky asked his father.

Cassius shrugged and set him down. He walked over to the dresser. “Let’s get you dressed Nick.” He said and held up a red Cars t-shirt and Nicky finally agreed to put it on.

I was still blubbering on the bed. “Of course he gets dressed with you in no time. What am I doing wrong?” I sobbed as Cassius helped Nicky get dressed. I sniffled as Cassius held out his hand to me. He pulled me to my feet and kissed my forehead.

“You aren’t doing anything wrong, love. You are doing everything right.” He smiled at me as he wiped the tears from my cheeks. “Let’s go get breakfast.”

I nodded as we kissed on the lips. Then Nicky started tugging on Cassius’s jacket. “I’m hungry.” He whined.

With a sigh, Cassius released me and picked up our pup, and walked out of the room. I followed behind them with my now waddling gait. We met up with Terry, Izzy, and Liz at the elevator. Izzy and Liz had become fast friends and were engaged in conversation. They stopped when we approached. Izzy looked over and sighed. “Let me guess. Nothing fits?”

I nodded. “These sweatpants are the only thing that felt comfortable.”

My mother-in-law looked at Liz and laughed. Then she looked at her son. “Cassius, I am taking your mate to the mall to get her some maternity clothes.”

“Today?” He responded to her. “But-“

“No buts. The poor girl needs clothes that fit her and I know exactly where to take her.” She looked at me. “Trust me you’ll love this shop.”

Cassius sighed. “Okay, is this afternoon alright, Mom? We have a lot of stuff to do this morning.”

She nodded. “Yes.”

“Thank you, Izzy.” I looked at Liz. “You’ll be able to take Nick this afternoon right?”

“Of course. I love spending time with my little Noodle.” She tickled Nicky who was still in Cassius’s arms. “Right Noodle?”

“I want to ride the merry go round.”

“Of course lovey. Is that alright, Cassius?” She asked my mate. I was happy that Cassius allowed her to be informal with him. She was like family to me and Nicky’s grandmother.

He nodded. “You’ll have to take the guards as usual.”

Liz shrugged. She had gotten used to Nicky having his own guards now. “That’s alright.”

The door opened and we all piled into the elevator. Izzy and Liz went back to chatting. When we got to the first floor and the door opened Cassius set Nicky down and the pup ran ahead of us. He saw his friend Nicolai walking towards the dining room with his moms Angela and MAria. The two pups giggled and then raced away from us. The twins began to kick again and I placed my hand on my belly which caught Izzy’s attention.

“Are they kicking?” She asked with a smile.

I nodded. “Do you want to feel them?”

She clapped her hands. “I have been waiting for this.” We stopped walking so she could place her hand on my belly and the pups kept kicking. “Oh my. Terrance come feel your grandpups kicking.” She said to Terry.

I sighed as I had two sets of hands on my belly. I only allowed it because I loved my in-laws. They both laughed happily. We stood there for a few moments. “Okay, guys. I am starving.”

They pulled their hands back. “Sorry, dear.” Izzy patted my arm.

“It’s alright.” I smiled at her as I grabbed her hand. “I remember how happy my mom and Liz were the first time I let them feel Nicky.”

“Oh, it’s a wonderful feeling,” Liz responded with a sad look in her eyes. Times like this I know it made her think of Jeremy. I felt sad for her. She never got to bury her son even though we all knew he was dead. We just never found his body.

We entered the dining room and everyone stood up. Everyone took their seats. “Good morning everyone,” Cassius greeted them. “I hope everyone had a good night. Let’s all have a good day.” He sat down and the omegas brought out breakfast.

There were waffles as requested for Nicky. I got an egg white omelet with cheese and spinach. I around the table. Deke was smiling and laughing with his mate Audrey. Maria and Angela were happily laughing with their son Nicolai. Liz and Izzy were still deep in conversation. It made me happy to see my people so happy. I squeezed Cassius’s hand as we ate.

“What’s up?” He asked me.

I shook my head. “Nothing. I am just happy. Happy that everyone else is happy and that makes me happy.”

He chuckled. “You didn’t seem so happy earlier.”

“That’s was hormones.” I rolled my eyes at him.

“I know. I am just messing with you.”

I smacked his arm. “Jerk.”

“What is going on with you two?” Terry asked Cassius.

“Oh, your son is giving me a hard time about bawling like a baby earlier over nothing.”

Terry snorted. “Son, your mate is going to be on a roller coaster of emotions. If you want to have s*x ever again I suggest not making fun of her.”

Cassius rolled his eyes at his father. “I wasn’t making fun of her, Dad.”

“Yes, you were,” I said to my mate.

He sighed. “Maybe just a little. It was cute though.” He waggled his eyes at me.

“I was not cute. I was blubbering over nonesense.”

He laughed. “Which was cute.” He picked up my hand and kissed it. “Is it bad that I think my pregnant queen is adorable when she cries?”

I just glared at him. “You are lucky that you are handsome,” I mumbled to him and he just laughed again.

We all finished breakfast. I said my goodbyes to Nicky as Liz took him to pupcare. She often helped the ladies out during the day before taking Nicky in the afternoon. I had asked if she didn’t mind taking Nicky overnight so that Cassius and I could have a little alone time. Cassius and I decided to make a date of it with a nice dinner and movies followed by lots of s*x as he put it.

We walked into the office hand in hand and sat at the desk. We got to work as Maria and Deke walked in to give their morning reports. “Deke, my father tells me that your brother Zion is doing well as beta,” I said to him. After Mark died my father’s pack needed a new beta. Deke’s younger brother seemed to be fitting the bill perfectly and he was getting along great with my brother. He would most likely be my brother’s beta also.

“That’s good to hear. My little brother was always the more studious one. I’m glad it’s working out for him,” Deke replied.

We talked a little longer with Deke and Maria before they both went to do their duties. I helped Cassius with a couple of conference calls.

One of the elders was still giving Cassius a hard time about killing Felix. He felt Cassius should have spared him and brought him in for the council to decide. But the rest of the elders agreed that Cassius did what was needed. Felix had threatened mine and my pup’s lives. He nearly killed Cassius. His death was needed. He had recruited a large number of rogues. He also involved other were species that threatened alliances. Cassius and I had to work hard to keep those treaties from falling apart.

After lunch, I went shopping for maternity clothes with Izzy. She took me to a special shop that made custom clothes and she was right. I loved nearly everything they had. I even found stuff in my style. After shopping, I spent time with Nicky before resting in my room. It was then time for the dinner date with Cassius.

I had the chef make a special dinner for us. Pork tenderloin roast with wild rice and mushroom gravy. An omega was helping me set it up when Cassius walked into our room. The omega bowed to him and he smiled at her. “That smells delicious.”

“The chef outdid himself.” I looked at the omega. “Thank you. I can take it from here.” The omega bowed to me and then left our room. I was quickly swept into my mate’s arms and we kissed for several minutes before he released me.

“I am going to go take a quick shower and put on something more comfortable.” He explained to me.

“Okay, Cass,” I replied to him. I was wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt. After a few minutes, he emerged from the bathroom wearing shorts and a tank top.

“I hope you don’t mind what I am wearing to our fancy dinner.” He laughed as we embraced again.

I kissed him deeply before pulling back slightly. “You could be naked for all I care.”

He raised an eyebrow. “Oh really.” He laughed as I lead him to the table. I poured some beer into a glass for him. I sort of wished I could have some beer. He sipped it gratefully as I sat on the opposite side.

We began eating our dinner happily. “So, have you thought of names for our son?” I asked him. We already had decided on what to name our daughter. But we were stumped for names for our son. I felt guilty about that.

“Nothing seems right.” He replied. “I don’t know why.”

“Well, he is your first son, well first biological son and you want everything to be right for him. That includes a name worthy of a king.” I smiled at him in response.

“You are very right, love.”

We ate in silence for a moment. “How about Malcolm?” I suggested. It was a name I liked from a recent TV show I had been watching.

His eyes widened. “King Malcolm Fury. I love it. That is a name worthy of a future king.”

I patted my belly. “Daisy and Malcolm.”

“I think we should wait till they are born before we tell anyone their names.” We hadn’t told anyone not even our parents our name for our daughter.

“I agree.” I smiled at him. We finished our dinner and then I cleaned up the mess and left the cart of dishes outside the door.

“Dance with me, love,” Cassius said to me. He had turned on music. It was some sappy pop song. Something I totally didn’t like but my mate looked so handsome and sweet waiting for me to dance with him so I obliged.

I fell into his arms and we just held each other as we moved to the music. The song wasn’t completely horrible. I even found myself softly singing along with it. “You have such a beautiful voice, love.” He said resting his chin on the top of my head.

“You think everything about me is beautiful.”

He looked down at me and used a finger to run under my chin. “Is that a crime?”

I shook my head. “No,” I responded as he kissed me. We stood in the middle of our room kissing softly for a minute before pulling apart. “Do you still want to watch a movie?”

He nodded. “I so want to have s*x with you but I also want to just cuddle with you on the couch.”

I laughed. “We can do both, Cass. We have all night. Nicky is fine with Liz.” I told him as I sat on the couch and turned on the TV. I scrolled through Netflix. I decided we would watch Stardust. I had seen it a dozen times but I loved it every time. I started the movie and Cassius laid down on the couch with his head on my belly. The twins started kicking when they felt their father’s presence. I ran my hands through his hair as we just enjoyed these moments together. After the movie, Cassius and I began kissing on the couch. It wasn’t long before we were both naked and he had his fingers rubbing my clit. I m****d as my body tingled from his magic hands. We were getting more into the moment when he suddenly stopped and stiffened.

His eyes glazed over and then he stood up and began pulling clothes on. “Cass, what’s wrong? Rogues?”

He shook his head “No apparently a vampire just showed up at the front door with my unconscious sister in his arms.” He explained before running out the door.
