The Alpha Mafia King -
Chapter 52
“Enough, can’t you tell that it’s not working, please,” said Agent Fox, gasping for breath. He was holding up his hand in surrender while lying on the ground. “Can’t your father just roar or do whatever he did back then to cause me to transform?”
“You need to learn to transform on your own!” said Antonio, kicking Agent Fox. “You are not getting angry enough!”
Agent Fox g*****d in pain and replied, “I can’t get angry knowing you’re trying to get me angry.”
“Do you want to die?” Antonio said. “You heard him right, didn’t you? If you cannot shift on your own by tonight, he’ll think he made a mistake picking you, and he’ll kill you himself. Do you think I enjoy kicking your a*s around like a football?”
“Why me?” Agent Fox said, groaning.
“Does it matter?” Antonio asked, turning his back on the agent. “Let’s take a break.”
It had been three and a half days since agent Fox received the bite from Callisto. Whatever Callisto had done to him made him afraid of the man. Antonio explained that it was because Callisto was now his Alpha. Antonio had been assigned to him as his trainer. Last time, when Callisto came by to the training ground, he roared at agent Fox, and the man transformed into his wolf form. He learned that it was only something alphas could do. They could get in your head with their roar and cause you to shift even when you don’t want to. Callisto promised to be back tonight, and he said if by the time he was back, agent Fox hadn’t learned how to transform, he would have to kill him.
They had been at the training all day, and it was almost five p.m., and agent Fox couldn’t even manage to do a partial transformation, let alone the complete form of his werewolf, which Callisto wanted to see.
“Hey, isn’t there anything else we could try?” Agent Fox said, rising.
Antonio paused. He wondered why he didn’t think of it sooner. There was one thing he could do to speed up the process.
“How does torture sound?” Antonio said.
“Okay, when I meant something else, I meant something less likely to cause me pain, not increase it!”
“Other methods will take forever. The clock is ticking. I can guarantee you this will work.”
“And if it doesn’t?”
“Well, it’s worth a try!”
“Fine, let’s get started!” Fox gave in, not willing to die. It had only been a few days he was turned into a werewolf. The least he could do for himself was pass this test!
Antonio strapped agent Fox to a restraint chair, preparing him for torture. Then he got a stun baton. The device was known to be lethal as it could deliver a powerful electric shock to the body with the push of a single button. It could be used on sensitive parts of a person’s body repeatedly.
“This is going to hurt a lot,” Antonio reminded him, making agent Fox g***n.
“You don’t have to keep saying that to me, you know,” the man rolled his eyes. “Besides, how do I transform if I’m strapped to this chair so firmly?“
“You are strapped down like that so that you will not have a means of escape from torture, and if you are able to turn to your wolf form successfully, the straps won’t be able to hold you down,” Antonio explained as he examined the baton that he held between his fingers. “Let’s begin.”
After repeatedly applying the stun baton, agent Fox’s eyes began to glow, and his fangs came out every once in a while, but it was not enough to please Callisto. Call it survival instincts or anything, but not long after, agent Fox broke free from the restraint chair. His bones snapped, and he fell hard to the ground as he g*****d loudly in pain.
“Yes! Turn, let the instincts lead you!” Antonio yelled at agent Fox’s body that lay on the ground.
He continued to shift halfway, and his legs would turn to paws but then back to human form; his head and more parts of his body would do the same.
Agent Fox struggled to stay in one form, his wereform but found it was tough. His body shook, and he was on the verge of passing out, but he continued to remain angry and focused his anger on staying a wolf, but he continued to fidget.
Just when Antonio thought he had it in him to transform into his wolf already, Fox collapsed weakly on the ground. His eyes changed back to normal but his body shook as he continued to breathe heavily and sweat profusely.
“Rest, I would not want you dying by my hands just yet; my father still wishes to kill you himself,” Antonio said, putting down the stun baton on a table.
“Hey, what does a guy like your father want with Alonzo?” agent Fox said. “What did he mean when he told us back then that Alonzo is not merely a human, and they are alike?”
“For someone new here, you sure do like to poke a nose in people’s business,”
“I am just curious; Is that wrong?” Agent Fox raised a brow as he struggled to gain strength and get back up on his feet.
He attempted to move up but failed by dropping to the ground with a thud sound. But Agent Fox didn’t stop to try and get up. Once he was on his feet, he staggered backward but gained his usual stance.
He was very lightheaded but at the same time had pain shooting all over his body. He only needed time to heal, and his body was still trying to get used to being a werewolf.
“Never question your Alpha; know that and know peace. I will head out for a while,” Antonio said, picking up a towel to wipe the sweat off his body.
“But I haven’t even done anything yet. You want me dead, don’t you?” Agent Fox grunted in frustration.
“If I wanted you dead, I would have done it by now. I need to get some water. I’m thirsty, and you probably are too. That baton must have drained you a lot,” he plainly explained but did not wait for another suggestion or answer from agent Fox.
Growling lowly, agent Fox slumped on the chair he was once strapped to. He stared up at the clock across the wall, and he sighed again. He was sure he was going to die early; he just never anticipated that it would be because he could not turn into a werewolf. It was going to be the most pathetic story of a lifetime.
Callisto was going to be back in a few minutes, and he still had not turned. Midform was not part of the plan, and according to Antonio, it was not going to impress his father much.
“I got the water,” Antonio walked back in. He was not even gone up to a minute, and he was already back.
Werewolf speed, Fox said to himself.
“I really need to turn before your father gets back,” agent Fox said desperately. He ran his fingers through his hair and let out a huff.
Silently, Antonio watched agent Fox. He knew what it felt like to impress his father, and he understood the consequences that came with disappointment.
“I heard water and electricity don’t go well together,” Antonio said.
“Well, that has to be common knowledge,” agent Fox rolled his eyes.
“It’s settled then. I bet it can drive your wolf mad in no time,” he beamed devilishly.
“Or kill me instantly!” Fox yelled in surprise.
“You are a werewolf. You can handle it. Shall we begin?”
“Oh no, no, we are not doing that!” Agent Fox said, trying to make a run for his life.
Like a bolt of lightning, Antonio picked up the stun baton and poured some of the bottled water on Agent Fox. Things got really intense as he sent jolts of electricity into the man’s body. Wherever the agent tried to run to, he was there to block him and thrust the baton at him again. Agent Fox was angry, but his body could not attempt to transform.
“Enough!” Callisto said, appearing as if he was conjured up by magic.
“Father,” Antonio said, gulping hard. “I didn’t hear you come in. We are almost there, father; I just need a little more time.”
“Don’t worry, son; I’m sure you did your best!” Callisto said. “Weaklings are not meant to be in our pack.”
Agent Fox barely knew what happened. He found himself under Callisto’s feet, being thumped repeatedly. B***d sprouted from his mouth, and just before Callisto gave the finishing kick, he roared, rolled over, and started to shift.
“Haha! There you go! Atta boy!” Callisto said. “That’s what I love to see. Full transformation.”
“I’ll kill you!” Agent Fox said, still transforming and making incomprehensible beast sounds.
Owing to the agent’s word, he lurched his werewolf form at Callisto, but Callisto only needed to show his alpha’s eyes to make him cringe and stop in his tracks. Callisto stroked the head of the wolf gently.
“Oh my, look at you, sit!” Callisto said. “You will make a beautiful addition to the pack—my replacement for Omega Juno.”
