When a female went into heat the pain didn’t stop until her male’s seed was buried deep inside her … over and over again . The thing usually lasted for over ten f*****g hours which meant if I wanted to help Lucy I’d have to spend half of the day buried deep inside her .

The chances of a she wolf becoming pregnant during this time was also very high. I felt all the b***d drain from my face at the possibility of that happening .

Lucy let go of my hand as another cry escaped her lips .

No , I couldn’t take that risk , if Lucy got pregnant things would get a hundred times worse than it already was . I had to find some other way to help her .

Lucy gasped and I staggered back as another wave of her energy hit me , my hands gripped the wet cloth in the palm of my hands tightly , my knuckles turning white with the pressure in which I held onto it with . We’ve been searching for over ten hours and still there wasn’t any sign of Austin or Lucy , the tension in the air was thick as everyone wrestled with themselves to remain calm .

“Talk.” Lucas muttered looking over at me .

I gave him a blank look .” What?”

His eyes narrowed . ” Don’t give me that look brother , something happened out there that you haven’t told us .”

I swallowed as I felt my anger return . “I found my mate .”

Lucas slowed at my words . ” Shouldn’t you be happy ?”

Happy?

I was anything but f*****g happy , the woman I wanted to f*****g claim and have my name plastered all over so that everyone knew she was mine didn’t f*****g belong to me !

How could I be happy ?

” It’s Lucy’s sister and she belongs to the council .”

Lucas stopped walking altogether as everything I just said sunk in . “F**k.”

Before he could say anything more , Alex approached us with an anxious look . ” I scent Austin , he was definitely here .”

I stiffened , he was right , my mind was so caught up on my conversation with Lucas that I had missed my brother’s scent . My eyes scanned the shoreline , searching for any other clues to point us in their direction . Austin and Lucy had definitely been here , they most likely washed up here after the fall .

“Where do you suppose they went?” Lucas asked .

“I’m not sure , let’s follow their scent , they definitely went south of here .”

I could feel the tension ease up around us as the packs released a sigh of relief upon knowing that we were closer to finding Austin and Lucy . Everyone picked up the pace , impatient to find them and ensure that they were okay .

We were about fifteen minutes in when their scents hit us stronger … Something was off .

My eyes widened when I realized what it was , OH f**k.

I looked at the packs , ready to stop them from walking further but it was already too late as Austin and Lucy were right there in front of us .. completely naked .
