Episode 9

My body felt like it had just been struck by lightening , my senses on overdrive .I couldn’t think , couldn’t breathe with Austin’s mouth on mine.

Couldn’t even remember what we were just talking about.

His scent and touch was consuming my mind and body , making me all weak and needy inside .I felt like I wasn’t getting enough of him , felt like I would die if I didn’t get closer to him.My entire body feeling like it was going up in flames , surely this wasn’t normal, right?

He pulled my bottom l*p into his mouth and sucked gently .

“F**k.”Austin g*****d.”So f*****g sweet.”

My knees went weak instantly , my hands wrapping around his neck to keep from falling to the ground.Austin gently lowered me to the bed behind us , his body pressing into mine and that’s when I felt it ,his hardness pressed between my legs.I gasped at the contact and he used that opportunity to thrust his tongue into my mouth .

My body begun to shake in need beneath him and a helpless m**n escaped my mouth. Austin pulled away from me immediately as a string of curses left his mouth and just like before he jerked the door open and stormed outside ,disappearing for the rest of the night.

Austin’s POV:

“You’re not going to like this.”Ethan reported placing some documents in front of me.

I studied the papers in front of me , one name stood out more than anything, ‘The Black Council’.

The Council.

Every single person in the supernatural world knew of them , they were a large group of vampires , werewolves , witches and shapeshifters .They stood together and killed anyone and anything that prevented them from getting what they wanted.You’re taught from small to never cross them , if possible try your best to avoid having any dealings with them.They got their strength from feeding off the weak , usually in the case of werewolves , if their pack wasn’t strong enough they would offer their services to the council to be given protection in return.As long as you joined them you couldn’t get out , I’ve heard of cases where entire packs were executed when they no longer wanted to be part of the council.

“What does the council have to do with The Fire Cross Pack?”I asked.

“I did some digging up like you asked me to , the Fire Cross joined the council , they are now there allies , have been for over ten years now.”

f**k.

“I’m sure you know what this means Alpha.”Asher cut in.”If they really want Princess Lucy , there is a very good chance they could take her from here.”

I growled , my fist connecting with the table in front of me , breaking it in half.

“What did you say?”I roared.”Take her away from me?”I demanded glaring at Asher.

Asher looked shocked at my outburst.”I’m sorry Alpha , I was just stating facts , we are indeed the strongest pack but the council is dangerous , they fight dirty and they have way more members and connections than we do…If it is that they want Lucy , the safest thing would be to hand her over , if we retaliate and fight back it will be the greatest loss this pack have ever seen.”

My wolf was furious at Asher’s words , he wanted to rip the man in half for even speaking such words but the man in me knew he was right , I couldn’t fight Asher for speaking the truth , it was his job , he worked with the facts and numbers .He was just informing me of the outcome .

This whole situation just took a whole completely new direction , a completely dangerous one , so dangerous that if the Fire Cross came back for Lucy , I may have to choose between my pack’s survival and her.

But why did that make my insides twist ?Shouldn’t I want this to happen , if they came for Lucy then I could live happily with Ariana , all my troubles would go away .So why the f**k did it make me feel empty inside and why did it feel like I would fight till my death to keep her?

ERMANNO’S POV(Where the Black Council Resides):

My boots hit against the glass floors loudly , my brothers following my quick steps , we were heading back to the council , to meet our father who had called for us.

“Do you think father suspects anything?”Nolan asked .

“He’s been suspicious of us for a while now Nolan , we’ve all went missing for days , it’s only natural that he would suspect we were up to something he didn’t approve off.”

“But we were careful.”Thane cut in.”He knew the council sent us on a private mission , we could still pull this off.”

“Dad isn’t stupid .” Marcus commented .”We’ve never taken days to complete a mission , no matter how dangerous .”

Marcus had a point , we’ve been on countless missions before , slaying the most dangerous of kinds , killing mercilessly and we’ve never once taken days to complete it .

“Uh guys.”Luthais whispered.”I think it’s safe to say he knows.”He said staring straight ahead ,I followed his gaze and froze.

Yeah , father knew alright.He stood a few feet away from us , a furious expression masked his face , there was only one topic we disagreed on , so there was no doubt he knew who we went to see.

“Where did you go?”He asked in the scariest tone ever used on us before.

When every one of us refused to answer ,his eyes narrowed.”I asked you , WHERE DID YOU GO!”

I felt Luthais flinch besides me , not used to this side of father.

“We went on–“

“Do not even bother lying to me , speak the truth now ,I’m only giving you one chance to do so.”He warned.

“Father.”I started.”We went to see Lucy.”I confessed , there was no use lying to him , he already knew , he was just waiting for the confirmation from us.

He shook his head at us , not saying a single word , his silence seemed more deadly than his outburst and I could sense my brothers discomfort increase by each second that went by.

“We’ve had this discussion before , on countless occasions ,I’ve pleaded with you boys to leave this matter alone.Why would you disobey a direct order from me?”He demanded.

“We wanted to see her father.”I stated the obvious .

His eyes flashed dangerously at me.”I told you when the time is right you would all meet her.”

“And when is that?”Thane demanded.”She’s been separated from us for over seventeen years now .”

“She’s everything we thought she would be and more .”I shouted.”Aren’t you even the least bit interested ?”

Father remained quiet at that.

“She deserves to know father .”I added quietly.

It was the truth , Lucy has been living in the dark for years , she deserved to know the truth and my brothers and I were determined to give it to her if it was the last thing we did.
