BROOKE

I can feel his eyes burning a giant hole in the back of my head.

I can’t believe I forgot about Amy.

She left; I thought she and Shane were doing their own thing. She wasn’t on my mind at all since I returned.

When I heard she left, I was shocked but slightly relieved to listen to it. I wanted time with Hudson, get to know him, but when Todd told us everything about her. Hudson showed more care for her than he did before.

I thought I would be over this, especially since we mated and marked each other, but I don’t know.

Willow took over as she could feel my anxiety kick in and hear everything.

“He was just worried about her as a friend,” she said to me as I was pushed back forward. “Hudson has changed, he should have told us about her, but also we are his mate; nothing will come between us.”

I move away and look at him, I know he is telling the truth, but I was hurt by all this before.

“I believe you, I do but Hudson,” I say as I move out of his grip slightly and place my hand on his chest to make him sit on the table in front of me, “I told Amy before the attack started that I didn’t want her anywhere near you, I wanted to get to know both of you in my own time. I never thought that she would leave the pack and move; I feel bad for not asking, but also,” I say to him, taking a step closer to him, “I am happy she isn’t here,” I say as I stare at his eyes “I want us to work, I told you I will never leave you but one thing I want to make clear” I say moving slightly more closer to him “YOU ARE MINE.”

I wrap my arms around his neck, and placing my lips on his, he moves away from the table and lifts me; I wrap my legs around his waist as he carries me to the nearby wall. I smile. “Human will make it up to you,” he says but smirks. “I like mates a*s.”

I was about to say something to him, but Hudson was pushed forward with the same stupid smirk on his face. “Wow,” he says, “That’s all I can say is wow.”

“I know why we had s*x like that,” I said suddenly, making me blush.

Hudson chuckles and leans on the table. “Willow and I can’t mark you; when you and Asher came together as one, we felt more of a connection with you both.”

Hudson smiles, but something warms my heart slightly, and I c**k my head at him. “You are happy,” I ask him.

“You are confused,” he says with a smirk and pulls me closer to him, placing his arms around my waist. “I can feel your emotions, Brooke; I can now feel everything you can.”

“We needed to be marked together as one,” says Willow. “We needed to know how they felt about us.”

“How did you know that?” I ask her, and she smirks, “The book,” she says, “I skimmed over it when you were reading it. We have to be together as one with our mates to feel the full mate bond and his emotions too, plus they can feel everything we can feel too.”

I look back at Hudson, who smiles at me. “Willow is telling you what she read,” he asks, and I nod at him.

“Brooke,” he says, “I will never hurt you; you mean too much to me.”

I look back at him. “Do you love us?” I ask quietly.

Hudson looks at me with wide eyes. “How did you….” he says but stops but smiles.

“Brooke, I love you,” he says and moves me closer to him. “Please be by my side forever.”

I smile, but it goes slightly. “What about the prophecy that was in the book? How are we going……” I ask him, but he places his finger on my lips to stop me from talking.

“I just told you I love you,” he says. “As for the prophecy, we will deal with it. Like Sassy said, it may be years away, but at least one thing I know,” he says as he places his lips on mine as he peaks them, “I will save you, I will protect you, I will make sure we are all safe and we” he says placing another peak on my lips “We are as one, I will know everything when you are scared, fear, love and….” I stop him as I place my lips on his.

I moved slightly away. “Hudson,” I said, “I love you too.”

Hudson smiles at me and k****s my mouth once again; his hands on my waist tightens.

I pull back and smile. ‘There is one thing though we must do,” I said to him.

He looks at me and smiles. “What’s that?” He asks.

“Do you think we can do a Luna ceremony in a few weeks, say two?” I ask him.

His eyes go wide. “You want to have your Luna Ceremony; I thought you would want to hold out a bit longer for it,” he says.

I shake my head and wrap my arms around his neck, pulling him slightly towards me. “Willow and I want to be your Luna; also, I think we can come up with some plans on how to make our pack more secure and safe for all, too,” I say.

I place my mouth on his once more.

He moves back. “I will ask our mothers to organize it all; everyone can help, and not only that,” he says, placing a k**s on my lips once more. “I can’t wait to make it official.”

I smile.

I want this; I want to be his Luna.

Now to conquer my fear of being in front of loads of people, making my stomach funny.

Hudson looks at me with an off look. “What’s wrong?” He asks.

“I’ve never been in front of a large group of people before. I’m scared,” I said in a weak voice, looking down, but he placed his finger on my chin and moved it for me to look at him. “I won’t let you fall, Brooke. We will do this together, together as mates and as one.”

I smile and move closer to him as I place my mouth back on his.
