Episode 81

BROOKE

I stare out of the window to see the decorations around the packed garden. My Luna ceremony is in four days. Everyone has been working their asses off for the last week.

You heard right, a week.

Luna Sophia and my mother have arranged my Luna ceremony in a week.

They planned it all.

I have been concentrating on a few things regarding it, but I have also been helping Hudson with pack duties.

He told me my role as Luna would be; I have started a few duties but not many.

Luna Sophia has been teaching some things too, but I have been helping new shifters move into the pack, especially when they have moved from the Fae realm. They have made a new home for themselves here. Everyone who has come from there has known about who I am and have wanted to see me.

I can’t help but sigh.

“Are you Brooke?” asks Willow suddenly.

“Yeah, I’m okay,” I say. “I think we should spend some time with Daisy today. I overheard another argument between Rex and her again; I am worried about them.”

Willow stares back at me. “I know, they woke me up,” she says in a hiss but stares back at me. “I think you should show her what you found.”

I smile at her.

“I think I will,” I say as I turn on my heel and grab the folder from the table.

After the conference meeting, Hudson and I talked; we decided to look into Rex and Daisy’s whole Amy and child situation. We found some startling news.

I walk out the door and head to Daisy’s room. I knock on the door, and Rex answers.

Rex looks at me, startled but recovers. “Luna,” he says, but I can hear some muffling in the back, and he glares back at whatever was said to him.

“I’m sorry, Luna, I need to leave,” he says through gritted teeth.

He pushes the door open as I move out of the way; he heads out the door and straight down the stairs.

I look in and see Daisy standing by the window.

“Daisy,” I say softly, “Can I come in? I did some digging, and I wanted to tell you what I found.”

Daisy turns around, her eyes glassy as she wants to cry. I walk over and wrap my arms around her; as soon as her head is on my shoulder, she starts to cry.

I hold her like that for a few minutes until she moves back; she wipes her eyes with the back of her sleeve. “I’m sorry, Brooke,” she says. “Rex and I…..” she starts to say, but I shake my head.

“No need to say anything,” I say and move her to the chair. We both sit. I stare back at my friend and place the folder on the table. Daisy looks at the folder and then back at me, slightly confused. “What’s in there?” she asks.

“Hudson and I did some digging as some things never felt right about Amy and Rex,” I said. “We wanted to…..” I start to say, but Daisy shakes her head, “You both didn’t have to do anything of that. We are fine; we just having a few bumps in the road.”

I look at her. My friend has been trying to forgive him, but the whole baby comes up, especially when everyone talks about Amy.

“We found out the baby is not his,” I say, which makes Daisy looks at me stupidly.

“You must be mistaken……” she says, but I stop her and place my hand in hers to make her look at me. “Daisy, Hudson, and I went to look for the child. Due to being Alpha and Luna, we were able to locate the child with the help of Alpha Josh and Todd. Hudson took Rex’s toothbrush with us and demanded DNA on the child.”

I smile at her “Hudson is telling Rex now, but I wanted to tell you. The child is not his; the child is born a human. We ran the DNA against Amy’s pack system when Todd searched for it; they took all b***d tests of every living werewolf there. The child is a werewolf, but her father is very much alive,” I say. “Hudson was livid with the result and even told Todd, Amy is not allowed here due to her lies and discreet. But we both wanted to tell you now so you both can work on being mates again.”

Daisy stares back at me with a shocked expression written over her face. “Why would she lie?” she asks suddenly.

Willow hisses in my head at the comment that Amy made when Todd asked her, “She told Todd that she wanted payback on Rex for leaving her for you,” I said, which made her growl.

“b***h” she says.

“She is not allowed in the pack unless we invite her, but that will never happen, and also Hudson has placed a kill on sight if she ever comes here unannounced again,” I said.

Before Daisy can reply to what I said, the door burst open to Rex panting for breath. “Did Luna tell you?” he says as he goes straight to Daisy and is on his knees. “The baby was never mine, Amy lied,” he says.

I move up out of the chair and head to the door. “Thank you,” says Daisy. I turn around and look over my shoulder with a smile on my face. “I wanted to help,” I said. “I will leave you both alone, but Daisy, can you help me get ready for my Luna ceremony? I am going to need a lot of help with this.”

Daisy smiles. “I will, Brooke; we will go shopping tomorrow for a few essentials,” she says.

I nod back and say my goodbyes to them both while I close the door behind me.

As I close the door, I notice Hudson leaning on the wall on the opposite side. He pushes off and comes straight to me. “You told Daisy,” he asks as he leans into the crook of my neck to sniff in my scent.

“MMM……” I say, “Yes, I did and even asked her to help me get ready for my Luna ceremony.”

I can feel his smile on his face as he k****s my neck, which sends flutters to my core.

“That will be awesome,” he says. “But we don’t have long, babe, and you will be part of this pack fully.”

I can’t help but be nervous and excited at the same time.

Sensing my feelings, Hudson moves back and looks down at me. “Why are you nervous?” he asks. “You are going to be amazing, and I know you will do great.”

I sigh. “I don’t want to mess this up,” I say and smile, “But I am excited too.”

Hudson smiles and smirks. “I think we need to go; I don’t need to hear that,” he says with a grim look. I look back at him, slightly confused when all I can hear is a loud moaning coming from Daisy and Rex. Hudson looks like he wants to be sick.

I quickly grab his hand and drag him away. “I need to find something to distract……” he says, but I pull him to me and place my lips on his. His mouth moves on mine, he deepens the k**s, and his tongue slips into my mouth with ease. After a few moments of our make-out session, both of us move back, panting hard and wanting each other. Suddenly Hudson’s face goes blank, but when he comes back to me, “We will have to wait till later, baby, my mother and yours want our opinion on something but the sound on my mother’s voice, I think they just argued over something again.”

I sigh. “I think we need to finish everything ourselves, or they are going to lose their friendship over this,” I say.

Hudson chuckles.

We both leave in search of our mothers.
