The clinic’s POV:

“What the hell did you do to my mate?” Montego yelled trying to get to the old woman who didn’t look the least bit scare of the werewolf who is trying to attack her. “I would never do anything to hurt my granddaughter, she is simply being shown her mission” She said calmly, shrugging her shoulders. “She’s right, I’m fine now. Grandmother is right we must get the twins back our entire existence depends on them.” Lynn said sitting up from the chair she was laying on. Montego immediately went to hold her in his arms while checking to make sure she was truly ok. “Lynn what are you talking about?” Ji’lahni asked coming to sit next to her friend. Who smiled at the closest thing she had to a sister she has ever known. “I know that it was our destiny to meet because we needed to trust each other when the time came to protect the twins from a great evil who wants to destroy all shifters. Nothing about our lives since we met has been a coincident even ingesting wolfbane.” Lynn said looking from Ji’lahni to Shawna then to Mina. We all have a part play and a job to do. We cannot fail or we will not only doom all shifters but we will lose the girls if the witch succeeds at draining their powers, so we must get them back before it’s too late.” She said getting up going to her grandmother and hugging her tightly.

“Thank you for everything you have done for me, I now know what my destiny and my purpose truly is. I have always felt that I was different then my siblings and that difference meant that I was less than or not good enough. But you have always made me feel like I was special.” Lynn said with tears rolling down her face. “Oh, my dear granddaughter I treated you that way, because you were special, more special then you could ever imagine.” She said pulling her close. Once she released her she looked over to the Alpha and stepped in front of him. “Your mother is very special as well she can’t explain everything to you right now, but you have to trust her as well as the human women. I know as an alpha your first instinct is to protect the women you hold dear, but in this case and in this war you will need them more then ever. If you wish to defeat the witch and get you pups back.” The Asian woman said as she looked to Lateri. Who took a deep breath. Son I can’t tell you much about my pass but as you can see I am a bit more then a shifter. What I truly am I can’t explain right now but you will have to trust me and believe that I will help you get my grand pups and my mate back.” She said as he nodded. “I honestly don’t understand any of this but for now I am willing to take all the help I can get to make sure my pups and my father are brought back safely. Now we need to gather all the information we can and come up with a plan to get my family back. We will meet up in the pack house in two hours to start making plans to save my father and my pups.” The alpha said as he grabbed his mates hand and left the clinic. With everyone else following and going their separate ways to regroup.

The women’s house:

“I know we need to make a plan, but I can’t just sit here while my girls are gone, and I have no idea if they are being fed if they are warm they can’t go to sleep with out being bounced by all of us at least an hour they get very angry when one of us is missing. When Shawna was in the hospital they were so fussy that we had to literally bring them to the hospital and lay them on her to get them settled enough to sleep. Now they don’t have any of us, and now I don’t know what to do I feel so empty.” Ji’lahni cried and the girls rallied around her. “Remember they have my father there to protect them I know he would protect them with his life. That’s the only thing keeping Maka at bay right now.” Makahi said stepping into the house with his duffle bag followed by Montego and Shadow. Looking up at the men as they entered. Ji’lahni got up and went to Makahi as he embraced her. They were both worrying about their babies. “Why are you here?” Came a question that shocked everyone in the room. Shawna eyes were locked on Shadow. His eyes grew wide at the question. Everyone else was looking everywhere else, but them. “What do you mean? Where else would I be?” Shadow asked confused. “Are you kidding me right now? You literally allowed your dead ex to stab me.” Shawna said angrily. “Ohhh s**t! It’s about to go down now.” Lynn whispered to Mina and Montego who was looking at every wall in the room, with their mouth open.

“She almost took my cousin’s babies and almost killed me and my baby. I not only remember what happened. I saw your eyes when you recognized who she was, she tried to kidnap the twins and you were so mesmerized you forgot about everything and everyone including me.” Shawna said with tears running down her face. “That’s not how it was Shaw, I was just shocked, you have to understand I thought she was dead and when I saw you with the knife and how afraid she was my instincts kicked in and I” “Yea that’s the problem your first instinct was protect your mate your other half from me.” Shawna choked out through sobs. shadow took a step towards her, but she took a step back. “Shaw please if I had known I would never allowed her near you I didn’t know what she was planning I thought she was being used I was trying to help her.” Shadow pleaded. “I know what you were trying to do. You wanted to save your mate, so yall could pick up where you left off.” Shawna said sadly. “No that’s not what it was I just wanted to make sure she was safe.” Shadow said pleading for understanding. “I get it I understand you and her have history and she is your other half and I have no place in that, and I refuse to make you choose between us when the time comes because it will. I refuse to trust the wellbeing of me and my baby to something that you can’t control. I understand what it means to be mated and how it is for werewolves there is no way you would ever choose me. You’re only here and not with her because of her choice, not because you don’t want her. You can’t look me in the eyes and say that if she would have come back with us that you would be here with me and not with her can you?” Shawna asked. When he didn’t answer right away she simply nodded and begin to walk away.

He attempted to go after her, but the alpha stopped him. “I know you want to go after her, but you need to give her time.” The alpha said, Shadow sagged in defeat. “Damn it I swear yall get on my nerve with all the love drama. Shadow I know Shawna, it will not be easy for you, you have to look at it from our standpoint you were constantly trying to save someone who literally tried to kill your girlfriend and baby. To us humans we don’t give a s**t about who you use to be. Your actions now says who you are today, and your mate showed you who she was, and you ignored it trying to recapture that old thing back with your mate not really caring about Shawna. Even if she was being controlled that don’t make what she did any less deadly. But you were willing to fix her and then what? What was your end goal out of all this Shadow?” Ji’lahni asked. Shadow sagged his shoulders in defeat.

“That is why you will lose her. You need to make a choice and stick to it no matter what your mate turns out to be good or evil. Your action will have to reflect that, there is no trying to save her especially when it could put Shawna and your baby at risk.” Mina said. “I would never allow anyone to harm Shaw.” Shadow said confidently. “Well, your actions lately don’t reflect the words that are coming out of your mouth, and Shawna has now saw you twice trying to save your mate while she and your baby were in danger. First with you saving your mate which caused her to be stabbed and tonight you trying to figure out what happened to her while again Shawna was being kidnapped and probably drained of b***d by your vampire wolf zombie mate.” Lynn said, coming to stand in front of Shadow. His eyes widen at how they saw all of this playing out.

He never once thought of it like that and if Shawna say it as they did he could see why she would want nothing to do with him. He was lost he didn’t know how he would ever get Shawn to believe that she was who he wanted more than anything. A knock on the door broke the tension in the room. The alpha open the door to Doc who had his doctors bag and a big machine behind him. “Thanks for coming as such short notice doc.” The alpha said, allowing the doc and the omega nurses into the house. “Hey, Sabastian, what are you doing here.” Ji’lahni asked curiously.
