The Alphas’ P**n Star Mate
Chapter 100 – The Alphas’ Porn Star Mate

Chloe POV

"Baby, just wear what you want," Mick told me as I frustratedly went through my sparse suitcase for the millionth time.

"Sparse clothes, my dew claw. You just have a sparse collection of mother approved stuff," Cortina huffed. "Shut up. You're not helping."

I've seriously gone through all my clothes so many times and have nothing nice to wear for this dinner we're supposed to be at in ten freaking minutes. I have comfort clothes, jeans and t-shirts, and the few dresses I own I know wouldn't have Luna Gail impressed in the least. "I thought your, uh, eccentric werecat friend bought you clothes yesterday?" Miles asked, watching from where he was sitting at the end of the bed.

"I have no idea where he put those, and he's not in his room. I don't have time to look for him right now."

Miles exchanged a look with Mick, and then both started to move to the closet.

"Okay," I muttered to myself, then went back to stressing over what to wear.

"You were trying to piss off that Luna the morning after you got here, and now you're stressing about how to dress to impress her," Cortina pointed out, feeling exasperated with me. I bet Miles and Mick were tired of my anxiety fit too, which is why they chose to walk away instead of watching me anymore.

"It's different now." After hearing about what Alpha Dario went through, and knowing the reasons why they were so hard on Mick, I can't find it in me to not care about their opinion of me anymore. They're my in-laws now. I'm mated to their sons. I remember all the stress and disapproval I faced with Cameron's mom and don't want to start out on the wrong foot with my second-chance mates' mother too.

I'm an orphan, a former porn star, a safety hazard to everyone in this pack, and just used their basement to give a live show to one of the members of this pack and his two mates just last night. The least I can do right now is dress decently, but I don't have shit to wear. Cameron's mom wanted me dressed like a Steford wife when things were casual in the pack house, or like a high-class hooker when there was a party where we needed to impress other packs. It was a chance for our Alphas to show off their Lunas, she taught me, so you had to dress just right to let others know your alpha was the luckiest man in the room.

It was sexist and made me feel like property, but those lessons were hammered into me. It's hard not to think of them again now that I'm going to sit and eat with my new Luna mother-in-law. I have no idea what her expectations will be of me, but I'm pretty sure jeans and t-shirts are not it.

"We're ready," Mick said, sauntering out of the closet with a slick smile and a twinkle in his blue eyes. "How do we look?"

"Seriously?" I giggled. "You're going to dinner at your parents' like that?"

Both men were in tight-fitting tank tops and sweatpants. They didn't even have regular shoes on. Just slides.

"This is the go-to attire for any dinner cooked by our Nonna," Miles said. "We need a stretchy waist."

"Whatever you wear, make sure the waist of the pants are spandex. You'll thank us later."

I eyed them both apprehensively. I am fairly sure they just changed to pacify me. Both were already dressed to go before, both of them in jeans and nicer shirts.

"Here," Mick dug through one of my open bags, then tossed me a knit sweater. "It gets cooler at night, so this should work. Just wear that with leggings."

"Are you sure?" I said, examining the sweater in my hands. It's not a nice knit. It's loosely knit, so there are large holes that make the sweater see-through. "This is a bit junky."

"Then you won't cry when you get sauce on it. Hurry up and put it on. I'm hungry," Mick grabbed my hands and pulled me to my feet.

With a heavy sigh, I quickly changed, making sure I had a nicer undershirt on underneath the sweater at least.

"Don't be so nervous," Miles grabbed my hand as we were walking through the pack house. "You've eaten with them a dozen times already. This will be no different."

"Nonna will still be running the show," Mick laughed. "But, if you really don't want to go, we can cancel."

"No," I reached out with my other hand to hold his, lacing our fingers together. "I'm just nervous. My last mother-in-law didn't like me very much."

"She must have been a hag," Mick grimaced.

"Well, yeah," I laughed softly. "She was, but I didn't really care back then. I care now."

"Chloe," Mick said my name so softly, so full of sympathy and concern.

"Mom will love you," Miles kissed the top of my head. "Just because we do."
