The Alphas’ P**n Star Mate
Chapter 189 – The Alphas’ Porn Star Mate

Cindy POV

My gut was churning. My skin was sticky from the constant cold sweat. My jittery unease was making me feel sick.

Alexi saw me. He chased me. I thought I could make it out of the pack house with Chloe undetected since everyone else was occupied, doing this and that in order to serve and protect her.

If I had just left a few minutes sooner....

Fucking Chloe. She had to act like a whining little princess for too freaking long. If she had just shut the door to the Alpha suite sooner, I could have taken her sooner. She stood there running her mouth forever, and now I'm screwed.

In and out. That's how it should have gone. The venom or whatever the crap was in that syringe was supposed to cut off her magic, the wolfsbane cut off her wolf, and then my scent masker was going to help me get her ass out of there before anyone picked up the trail. I had everything mapped out perfectly, even timing Nonna's visit to her room, so I appeared just after Nonna left, making it look like I was sent by the old woman.

Of course, Chloe screwed me. She couldn't shut her mouth and get moving like she was supposed to. Now I'm stuck here, in this shithole. I can't go back like this.

Stepping into the room where Chloe's ex-alpha mate and Mr. Smith was, I cringed, seeing the bloody mess of a man on the ground. The warrior was one of the crazed Alpha's ranked warriors, a Beta or a Gamma, but he was relentlessly kicking the guy while he was down. Blood was bubbling out from between his lips from his garbled coughs.

The scene brought traumatic memories for me.

"Ah," Mr. Smith turned a slick-looking grin my way, his cane tossed lightly over his shoulder. He looked like he was out for a stroll instead of watching a man get mauled. "Our other honored guest. What can I do for you?"

I know this man is something to be feared, but I have a greater fear now. "How are you going to fix this?" I muttered quietly.

"Pardon?" Mr. Smith cupped his hand around his ear.

With a little more bravely I asked, "How are you going to fix this? Can you do some mind sweep something or other and make everyone forget that I was the one that helped you?"

Mr. Smith shook his head, clicking his tongue. "My poor boy. I'm afraid not."

"You can't do it?" Rodger could wipe memories. I thought it wouldn't be an issue for someone using dark magic.

"Can't do it?" Mr. Smith repeated my question like he was amused with the words. "Can't and won't are very different, my friend."

My stomach dropped. "You won't help me?"

"I am helping you," he lifted his cane, waving it around as he spun in a half circle, looking around the room. "You're here and not out there where you could be discovered, are you not?"

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "But I brought you what you wanted! I brought you Chloe."

He tilted his face with a crooked smile, "You did, which I am ever grateful for. And I am taking her away from your precious family, like you wanted. That was the extent of our deal. I'm housing you, keeping you under my protection merely as a favor." He fastened the cane behind his neck, beaming like he truly thought he was doing me some huge favor.

"So, that's it?" My anger was rising. "I stay here forever?"

"Surely not." He suddenly looked appalled. "I suspect we will be leaving quite soon. Once......" He looked back at the seething Alpha, "issues are taken care of."

"And my issues?!"

"Pardon?" Mr. Smith took a careful step towards me. The beaten warrior on the floor looked over at me from his swollen purple slits for eyes, softly shaking his head like he was telling me to be careful. "Your issues?"

Fear of never returning home, returning to Rodger kept me from fully feeling what should have been overwhelming fear from this evil man. "How am I supposed to go back after they saw me?!"

Mr. Smith took another step forward. "I fail to see how your failure on that front is any of my concern."

"You- your concern?! How is it not your concern?! I was working for you!"

"Yes," Mr. Smith nodded like he was consoling a toddler. "You were working for me. And now you are not." He huffed and waved his cane in the air, dangerously close to my face. "Why on earth would I waste precious magic to retreat your mistake? You no longer hold any value to me." He lifted my chin with the tip of his cold cane. "I am granting you a mercy by not doing away with you now that you are useless to me right now."

He held my gaze as fear rippled over my sweat-soaked skin. The cane felt like ice, as did the rest of my body, but the sweat wouldn't stop. His eyes flashed to those of pure evil, the smoky blackness of them slit down their center by a dull yellowish streak. He cocked his head to the side, studying me.

"Should I do away with you? Is my mercy not enough of a gift to someone as invaluable as you?"

I shook my head vehemently, my sense of survival causing my body to move automatically like every fiber in me was ready to plead for my life.

A sick smile twisted Mr. Smith's lips. "Good." He dropped his can and sighed, taking a few steps back before turning to face the Alpha.

I sucked in a breath, not realizing I had stopped breathing because of my fear. I held my chest, feeling the hammering of my heart.

"I'd like to get more acquainted with my goddess," Mr. Smith set his hand on the shoulder of the Alpha. "Finish things up in here, for me, will you? I'd like not to disturb her with the sight of blood again until it is the blood of those mongrels who marred her delicate skin." "You-you're going to kill Mick and his brother?" I stuttered in shock.

The crazed Alpha growled at me, then kicked the warrior he had beaten one last time. The warrior grunted sickly as bubbling blood filtered from his broken lips.

Mr. Smith turned back and smiled widely at me, though I felt the threat in his glistening teeth. They almost seemed monstrous and unnatural. "Is that a problem?"

I took a careful step back, my back hitting the wall behind me. The door was just in reach to my left. "No. No. Of course not. That.... That isn't my pack."

Mr. Smith chuckled darkly. "But it is. As of right now, that is your pack, and those are your Alphas." He tilted his head to the side. "Maybe we should change that?" "Or just get rid of him," the Alpha growled, his eyes flashing with defiance.

"Oh, no. Not after the favor he did you and me. No," Mr. Smith shook his head. "No. The answer is simple. We just have to change his allegiance."

The Alpha's eyes narrowed, and he looked reluctant.

"Oh, come now. It makes perfect sense."

The Alpha looked peeved and uncomfortable, but didn't refuse. The warrior lying in a bloody mess at his feet coughed up more blood, and I could have sworn I saw him smile. The Alpha was looking at me with such disdain that I didn't want to even be in this room with him any longer, let alone pledge my allegiance to him.

"How does this work?" Mr. Smith tapped his cane on his chin. "Do you merely need to denounce your former pack?"

I slowly, reluctantly nodded my head, my back still pressed to the wall.

"Well," he grinned, "Carry on."

With a quivering voice, I had no choice but to comply. "I, C-C-Cindy," I stopped, realizing I had to use my birth name, "D-D-Dycin Lewalt Norris, r-r-renounce Setting Sun Pack, s-s-severing my loyalty and allegiance to my Alphas," I gulped heavily, "M-Mick and Miles Carver." I felt the snapping on the connection to the pack, and the mental strain from the ties being cut from the pack mind. My wolf was howling in pain. I gritted my way through it, though it brought me to my knees.

I was rogue once again, but this time, it felt far lonelier and more painful than ever before. I cut not only my ties to Setting Sun Pack, but to the only family I had ever had.

I felt ruined.

The Alpha stepped forward on Mr. Smith's urging. He was towering over me, his aura menacing, but it felt nothing like an Alpha's. It felt similar to a feral wolf, but darker, with a killer energy.

The Alpha curled his lip, showing his teeth. I felt a chill run down my spine.

"I, Alpha Cameron Haine of the Fire Moon Pack, extend an invitation to... What the hell was your name again, freak?" Alpha Cameron growled.

"Ci-.... I mean, Dycin Norris, s-s-sir."

"Dycin?" He snorted. "Alright, Dycin. I, Alpha Cameron Haine of the Fire Moon Pack, extend an invitation to Dycin Norris to join the Fire Moon Pack. Do you pledge your allegiance to the good of the pack, and to me as your Alpha?"

His eyes darkened, tightening ever so slightly. It was almost like he was nervous, gulping subtly, his dark energy pressing down on me. But I didn't feel any order or command. There wasn't any weight like an Alpha behind his words. Nevertheless, I knew I had no other choice than to accept.

I bowed my head. "I pledge myself to you, Alpha Cameron Hays-"

"Haine!" He snarled viciously, making me jump.

"Haine!," I repeated urgently. "I pledge myself to Alpha Cameron Haine and to F-Fire Moon Pack from this moment forth."

I kept my head bowed, hiding the fact that I felt no connection, no weight or tether to anyone after repeating those words. There was nothing. I was still rogue. I was still alone.

The scent masker was hiding my scent for now, but what would happen when it wore off, and they all noticed the initiation didn't work?

"Good. Good," Mr. Smith drawled, patting Alpha Cameron's shoulder before moving past me and towards the door. "Now, see to it that your colleague is educated properly on the proper way to treat women and this mess is cleaned. I will see to my goddess." He hummed as she walked out the door, leaving it open behind him. I chased a glance up, right as the Alpha was grumbling to himself, walking away towards the recovering warrior on the ground.

That warrior startled me when our eyes met. His eyes were trained on me. His lips twisted in a smirk, and when his Alpha wasn't looking, he pressed his finger to his lips, indicating to keep quiet.

Keeping quiet was what I planned to do. I needed to keep the secret of the failed pack connection until I could figure out a plan to leave, or I was killed when my rogue scent returned.

As I slipped out of the room, as subtle as possible. Only then did I let it sink in what had just happened.

Not only will I not be able to return to the others, to Rodger, but I no longer have a pack. My wolf was heartbroken, but I just felt broken. Broken and completely alone.
