The Alphas’ P**n Star Mate -
Chapter 191 – The Alphas’ Porn Star Mate
"Say it again," his voice came in an enticing hum. "S-say what?"
My back was pressed against the wall, but my muscles still contracted as I tried to impossibly move back further. Every step he took closer to me, the more the heat buzzing at my center pulsed and expanded. The fiery magic was igniting my veins, pumping through me with every violent beating of my heart.
"My name," he husked, tossing his head back, so his dark eyes were staring down at me. "Too many millennia have passed since I've heard you say it."
The pounding in my head drummed loudly behind my ears. Cortina. She was snarling, using the fire inside of me to give her that final push through.
"I don't know what sick delusion you have been feeding yourself, but I am not this old hag you're thinking of."
He chuckled darkly. "You are wrong, Chloé." He reached his hand out to touch me. "Let me show you."
His hand touched the candle holder planted like a weapon between us, and the metal dissolved into liquid, dripping to the ground until I dropped it with a loud clatter. The silver droplets burned as they splashed against my leg, but that pain was quickly overshadowed by overwhelming shock when Mr. Smith touched my face.
The room around us drifted away, shooting past us in a racing blur. When the world around us stopped, I was struck by the foreign, but also familiar everything seemed.
We were standing at the center of a marble pavilion. Ivy and vines wrapped around each pillar, then danced in the wind on the rafters above. The air smelled exotic, like luscious florals. The sky was a vibrant blue, and the sun shone brighter, feeling hotter than a usual sun. My mind was racing, trying to take everything in. Mr. Smith smiled gently, then let me go. I spun around, trying to take everything in and figure out what he had done.
And that was when I saw them. A woman with thick, dark hair, flowing in voluminous tendrils down her back, leaning against a willow tree. The reeds of the tree were blowing wildly in the wind, blocking much of my view of the woman, but I could completely see a giant black snake, bloodied and battered, coiled around her and the tree, its giant head resting in her lap.
"You poor thing," she murmured, petting the top of its head. "You'll feel better soon."
Suddenly, purple glowing energy was emitted from her hands, washing over the giant snake until it was sealed in her magical glow. The cuts and torn flesh of the snake began to heal, sealing shut. His tongue forked out, licking at the air. He vibrated, making a hissing and humming noise. His entire body shook violently, and then, all of a sudden, a man replaced the body of the snake.
The man had long, inky hair, curling in wet coils. His skin was tanned. His body was toned.
When a giant gust of wind came through the branches of the tree, it lifted the reeds high in the air, revealing the man and the woman's faces.
I gasped, jumping back as my hands flew to my mouth.
"That- that's...."
"Us, my dear Chloé," Mr. Smith's mouth pressed to my ear. "You and me."
"How?"
I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The woman was me. Entirely. Her face. Her hair. Her purple eyes. Everything about her looked like me, and the man was clearly Mr. Smith. A naked, less stuffy Mr. Smith, but it was surely him.
"You saved me," he chuckled deeply, circling around my body as I watched the other versions of us under the willow tree. "You found me as I laid at death's door, then healed me, using your abilities as the great goddess you were to make me the man I am today!" "That's not me," I shook my head in denial. "I.... I have parents. I was born twenty-one years ago. Not-"
"You were born again."
Mr. Smith waved his hand in front of him, and the scene changed to a rustic village. The cottage in front of us had a crowd of women and men, and the sounds of screaming echoing from inside. Mr. Smith moved us through the crowd. We passed through the people like ghosts. Inside the cottage was a woman giving birth. She screamed as two women held up her legs on either side of her. Another older woman was kneeling at the end of the bed, encouraging her to keep pushing.
Then the sounds of a baby wailing broke through the tension, and everyone outside cheered as the woman fell back in relief. The older lady held the baby up in the air. I was stricken by the infant girl's dark eyes that suddenly began to glow a vibrant purple. The older woman looked surprised too, but then the purple began to fade. The woman shook her head, then looked at the baby again, examining her eyes like she was unsure of what she truly saw.
"This was the first of your rebirths," Mr. Smith whispered in my ear. "The first of many."
He waved his hands again. We were in the same cottage, but it was obviously the future. The home was aged, the furniture rotting and the house was in general, unkept. The infant was now a young girl, maybe in her early teens. She looked just as I did at that age. The same thick, wild hair, and the same youthful face.
"NO!" She screamed, banging on the front door. "LET ME OUT!"
All the windows were shut tight, letting no light in. The only light shining through the dingy space was from the broken roof above.
"I'M NOT! MAMA! SAVE ME! I'M NOT A WITCH!"
The young girl was wailing, looking horrifyingly desperate. Every pounding at the door made more of the roof above cave in, but the door remained closed.
"What's wrong with her?" I asked, but soon I was gasping at the answer to my own question.
A single torch dropped from the broken roof, igniting the rotting floorboard. Then several more torches were tossed in the house. Things were hitting the house from the outside too, and when the walls began to burn, I realized whoever was doing this was lighting the house aflame from the outside too. "Why?!" I watched in horror as the girl screamed for help.
The scene quickly changed before I had to watch her burn to death. Mr. Smith pressed up behind me, holding onto my shoulders.
"I didn't find you in time. The village you lived in believed you to be a witch when your goddess abilities manifested. They burned you inside your home alive."
My body was shaking. How could anyone be so cruel? The girl was a child.
Mr. Smith changed the setting to an Egyptian palace. A woman, my next clone, was kneeling on the ground, wearing tattered clothing and bruises all over her body. Before her on an elevated platform was a man who I could only assume was a king, judging by the throne he sat upon. The man had a woman, scantily dressed, pressed against him, sitting upon his lap. I couldn't understand what he was saying, the language a foreign one to me, but I could tell he was angry, and all his rage was directed at the tattered version of myself.
The woman sitting upon his lap whispered something in her ear, then placed her hand on her belly. The king's eyes narrowed, and he yelled more curses at my clone.
The scene around me changed again, showing another version of myself in a Victorian setting. My clone was wearing an elaborate gown with a powered face and horrendous hair. It looked like a flipping beehive.
We watched as an older man came into the room and took the woman by the waist. He buried his nose in her nape, then began groping her chest as she protested. All of a sudden, the windows in the great room exploded, crashing inward. The woman's eyes were a vivid violet as she seethed in the started man's arms.
He took one look at her face, at the magic in her eyes, then pushed her to the ground. He called in his guards, dozens of men in armor who looked ready to go to war. The woman looked scared, and began to apologize, but before she could even bring herself to her knees, the man ordered her to be killed.
Mr. Smith waved his hand, changing the scene to another one of my clones, this time in an asian village. Women in kimonos were walking the busy roads, as well as men in old-fashioned three-piece suits. My clone was also in a kimono. Even with makeup on her face, I could tell she was what we were here to see.
A dark shadow cast over the bustling village, and everyone stopped in surprise to stare up at it. I followed their stare and saw a giant beast cutting through the clouds above. Suddenly, my clone ran, and the creature broke from the cloud cover to follow. She was running towards us. I jerked and flexed in place, willing her to make it to safety before the beast swooped down from the sky.
The beast nose dived closer to the ground. It was a dragon. An actual dragon. He dropped from the sky and right as his claws were wrapping around the woman's body, Mr. Smith waved his hands, and we were back in the bedroom where we started.
I fell back onto the mattress, my breathing heavy from the exertion of experiencing the living visions and seeing so much in such heartache in such a short amount of time.
Mr. Smith knelt down on the ground before me. "Don't you see, Chloé?" His eyes were charred with intensity.
"See? See what kind of hell every other woman that looked like me had to live through?!"
"No," he laughed dryly, shaking his head. "Don't you see that the only time you were ever truly happy was when we were together." He grabbed my hands pleadingly. "Every rebirth you experienced was plagued with torment and led to your ruin, and it was all because I didn't find you in time. Can't you see?! I can not allow fate to take you from me again. I had to do something."
I bit my bottom lip, still not trusting what he was telling me. Something didn't sit right with me in his words. That burning at my core was telling me there was more to all this than what he was telling me.
"There is," Cortina broke through the fog, panting desperately at finally being free. "He showed you what he wanted you to see. It wasn't the whole story."
"How can you know that?"
I felt something different about my wolf. I felt a power in her that wasn't there before. He suddenly felt ancient, exuding the same energy as the first version of myself which Mr. Smith had shown me. "I'll show you....."
Suddenly, the entire room, including Mr. Smith was frozen in time, just like when I was fighting Boyd.
The room around us morphed like before, only this time it wasn't Mr. Smith who was traveling with me, but Cortina. She was suddenly beside me in her own body, not in my consciousness but physically beside me.
We went back to the village with the dragon, right as my clone was being lifted off the ground in the dragon's claws. As I watched, my horror turned to confusion, watching as the version of me laughed and turned to smile at the monstrous creature.
"I told you I just wanted to see the village! How did you find me so fast?"
The dragon blew out a puff of smoke, then said, "You're my mate. Of course, I could find you. You're mine."
"Yeah, yeah. Yours," she giggled, then laid back like she was enjoying the ride. "You scared the villagers to death."
"They will survive," the dragon chuckled, then flew higher in the sky.
A purple fog surrounded us, thickening and fogging over the scene of the dragon and the woman. When the fog settled, we were back in the Victorian era, right when the man was ordering for my copy to be killed.
Right before the first knight could stride my clone down, giant wolves leapt through the windows, their paws crunching the broken glass on the ground. The wolves fought with the knights, and then a darker figure floated into view from the darkness in the corner. He was a vampire. I could tell from the red tint in his eyes. He looked lethal, glaring at the old man who struck the woman down, but when she saw the vampire, she got up and ran to him. She wasn't scared. She clung to him like I would cling to Mick or Miles.
Again the room swirled and changed around me, and we were on the steps of the Egyptian palace. I was confused, because before I could not understand what they were saying, but now I understood them perfectly.
"Why is my wife in such a state?! Who did this?!" He waved his hand angrily down in the direction of my kneeling clone.
"Love," the woman on his lap whispered in his ear. "She was a threat. A threat to your future heir. She claimed to be pregnant." She placed her hand on her belly. "She plans to fake her pregnancy and take our baby. My baby."
His eyes flashed with fury, and then he screamed, "YOU'RE WITH CHILD?!"
The question was aimed at me, but he was looking around the room for answers.
"My wife, your queen is with child, and you reduce her to this?!"
He then pushed the woman off his lap harshly, sneering at her surprised, distraught expression.
"My love?" Her voice shook.
"I am not your love. I somehow let you poison my mind with your lies, but not anymore. I know you conspired with that snake, but your greed took you too far this time." He snapped his fingers and two guards appeared. "Take her to the dungeons and bind her in chains. I will deal with her later."
He then got up with guilt written all over his face. He descended the stairs, falling to the ground beside my clone. "I am sorry, my queen. I will forever be sorry. You are my only love. The snake conspired with her to trick me. I never laid with her or any woman. Only you." The woman was weeping, and I watched as the king picked her up and gingerly took her from the throne room.
Cortina looked solemnly at the two exiting figures, but then purple fog started to flood around us again, and she looked back at me.
Finally, she took me back to that first vision, the one in the garden pavilion when Mr. Smith called me his great goddess. The ancient version of Mr. Smith was still embracing the ancient clone of me, but the sweet moment did not last for long.
"This was where it all started. The start of our curse. The curse we finally have the power to break."
Mr. Smith grabbed onto the great goddess's throat, forcing her back against the willow tree.
"You set me free," he chuckled darkly. "You healed and restored my true form, my goddess. Now," his forked tongue licked the side of her face. "You will do me the honor of fulfilling my purpose on this forsaken earth. Breed with me. With your power, it will finally be possible. Breed with me, my goddess, and fulfill my destiny."
"He trapped you, then tried to do it over and over again throughout time, always using others to do his dirty work. You became pregnant with the pharaoh's child, so he sent a concubine to him and poisoned his mind. That concubine was trying to cause you to lose the child and get you banished from the kingdom. The dragon couldn't be overpowered, so he just watched you in the shadows, hoping for a chance to take you, but that chance never came. The vampire was the same. He used his dark magic to take over a kingdom, but the idiot he used was too headstrong and prideful. Your vampire lover saved you and kept that demon snake from hurting you again. He's manipulating the memories of your past lives to try and trick you now. Don't fall for it. You know what you have to do."
Even without Cortina's warning, I knew. I knew that if I did not end this for good, he would continue to haunt every copy of me, until the end of time. He would poison the minds of those around me to get to me. There was only one way to stop it.
I needed to make sure he could never hurt anyone because of me again.
