The Alpha's Unwanted Mate
The Alpha’s Unwanted Mate Chapter 130 Book 2 Chapter 62

“You’re right, I should’ve done just that, father… abandon you guys forever.”

Zillon cocked his head towards the voice. “Xavier…? What are you doi—?”

“I should’ve never came back…I’m a rogue after all, I’m not your family anymore.”

“That’s why you should get out! Take your rogues with you, get them off my land.”

“Father!” Zillon intervened, his eyes shadowing with even more disbelief. “You have the courage to say that in front of his face too? How can you just tell him to leave? What’s wrong with you?”

“It seems you weren’t brought up right. Rogues are rogues no matter who they were before, we don’t just accept them or their help, we kill them if they so much as trespass, and its not suppose to be different with him.”

“Then do you think I’d really kill my own brother? Do you think my heart is that black?”

“You’re suppose to, your heart is suppose be dark, you’re an alpha…it’s in your nature.”

“To kill family?”

“Yes…”

Zillon’s jaws clenched, his hands fisting by his side. “Did you kill your family?”

“I would if I could.”

“Would you kill me?”

“If you gave me a reason to.”

Zillon took a step back, not believing his ears or his eyes. Who was this that he was talking to?

Where did this impersonator come from?

His father kill him?

That was something he never thought his father would say, or protest to do…what has gotten into him?

What has changed now?

“You wouldn’t kill me father…”

“If I have the courage and the heart to kill your brother, I think I’d be able to do the same to you.” He looked towards Xavier, face as hard as steel. “So get off my land before your b***d taints it’s floors.”

Zillon’s fist clenched tighter, his dark eyes appearing even darker. “It’s my land now father, your title was taken months ago.”

“Zillon…”

“I’m sorry father, but I can’t let him leave again, he’s my brother, he’s your son…what’s wrong with you?” He turned to face away from his father. “He can stay for as long as he wants to, I’m the alpha and I can do what I want. There’s a war approaching, it’ll be here in just hours and yet you’re complicating things. We need as much help as we can get, we’re going up against the royals, our skills are that of a baby compared to theirs.”

“And will having a couple of weak rogues on your side help you out? They’ll only die, Zillon. You’re being awfully stupid right now, your emotions are plaguing your thoughts, but you need to learn how to stash them aside, how to be a man when you lead. I know it might be hard to let him go, he’s your brother after all, but if not now, then you’ll be saying goodbye to him after this war ends…and it won’t be a pretty goodbye, it’ll be a bloody one.”

“Nothing is wrong if one of us dies or both…we are prepared for that…or rather I am.”

“Then do as you please, I will not stop you from leading your pack with something as stupid as emotions.”

He turned his back to walk away, but Zillon grabbed at his wrist, stopping him. “Father, are you hiding something from me? What was written on that paper? Is what Celeste told me the truth?”

“And what did she tell you?”

“That you’re the alpha king’s brother…is it true?”

“Why don’t you go ask her twin sister since she was the one who confronted me and keeps on spreading rumors…?” He yanked his arm out of Zillon’s and turned to stare into his eyes. “There you go again, believing your heart instead of your brain…but then again, she’s your mate…you have every right to listen to her.”

“Fathe—”

“Continue leading your pack this way and you won’t have one when you’re done. This war will take more than you have and if you survive it, leading with this…” He pointed at the left side of Zillon’s chest. “Will not help you to garner what you’ve lost.”

“Nothing will be taken away from him, not while I’m here. You’ll see that I’m not weak, if we just take down their leader, the whole pack will surrender.”

Gregory looked over at Xavier. “And how easy do you think that’ll be?”

“It won’t be easy, but your weak rogue son has a plan.”

“I don’t want to hear it, your plan might as well be as weak as you. Tell it to soft hearted alpha who gave you refuge, not me.”

He pivoted on his feet and before anyone could stop him, he stumped away.

Zillon sighed, running a hand through his hair in frustration. “I don’t get it, what’s wrong with father? Why is he like this?”

“Because it’s me, he’s never liked me…everybody could see, you were the only blind one.”

“But he’s never treated you this way before, sure I was always the favourite, but you were never treated poorly. Why is he acting like this now?”

“I was never treated poorly? So being conscious of the fact that your parents preferred your brother more than they did you isn’t considered as being treated poorly? You got most —if not all— of their attention and affection and I was left by the sidelines to watch. You couldn’t possibly know how that felt.”

“You’re right I don’t know how that feels and after today, I really wouldn’t want to, but can you put that aside? I know you hate me, but can you share your plan?”

A/N// And that was that… Zillon’s father is indeed a b*tch, where’s Celine when you need her? Only she could slap some sense into him. He keeps talking about emotions like he wants Zillon to throw his away…but if he does that, what kind of alpha would he even be?
