The Alpha's Unwanted Mate
The Alpha’s Unwanted Mate Chapter 83 Book 2 Chapter 15

Celeste dreaded the fact, but she was back at a place that used to be her nightmare…

This place that had shown her more monsters than she could count…

This place that had forced her to hide in a shell…

This place that had made her lose herself…

This place and the people in it who had stumped on her heart until it was in pieces…

She hated that she was back and she hated Zillon for bringing her back. She screamed at him, she cried to him and yet he still let them take her.

Gabriel had stepped forward, but what would he have done?

If Xavier couldn’t win the fight, could he?

She didn’t want to see anymore b***d spill, she didn’t want to see anybody else die, especially not him. He was a close friend to her, him and Davia were like her sister and her brother. If one of them had gotten hurt, then she would’ve surely gone mad.

But she had left them behind safely, they were with tears on their faces, but at least it was better than having b***d leaking from their limp bodies.

As for all the people who lost their lives because of Zillon, she wished for them to have happiness wherever goddess chose to put them and she hoped that the person who had ruthlessly killed them would be unhappy for the rest of their lives…that Zillon.

He was the sole cause of this, he had murdered them without a itch in his jaw or paws… He had seen so hungry for b***d, so cruel. His moves weren’t in the least hesitant, he wanted to kill them, Celeste didn’t have to ask, she knew.

Perhaps it was because they were rogues, but why didn’t he kill her too?

Why did he not do her like he did them?

That was unfair, Celeste and them were of the same kind, she had mingled with them for months. Smiled at them, waved at them, touch them and yet he had killed them and not her.

She wanted to die too, anything that would stop her from coming back here, here where everything started and also ended.

He had treated her so bad and she hadn’t even noticed it. She was so busy waddling in self pity to even see that she deserved better. Xavier had shown her how she was suppose to be treated, he had spoken to her even when he was angry, shown her love even when she had refused to show him hers…

He had been so patient, even more than Zillon had been..everytime he tried to touch her she’d push him away and yet he kept trying to climb over her walls even when they were too high…

He’s too nice to have been treated that way by Zillon. His own brother had killed some of the people he thought were his pack and afterwards had thrown him in the dungeon.

Celeste wanted to see him. He had passed out on her shoulder, she wanted to know if he was okay and yet she was locked up in her own room. Everytime she opened the door, Liam was sitting right in front of it, telling her to go straight back in.

Zillon wasn’t back yet it seems and she wished he’d never come back…she had loved him so much back then and now since she had learned how toxic he was to her, she couldn’t help but hate him.

He must’ve laughed at her so many times when she had walked him down to apology for doing absolutely nothing wrong. He must’ve seen her as clingy when she use to cry on his chest and beg him not leave her for Celia.

Even she now hated herself for doing all that, for even after degrading herself to such a person for him, he still went ahead and chose Celia.

So why did he come back for her?

If she meant nothing to him, why was she here?

She was tired of being used and abandoned, she wouldn’t listen to anything he had to say. She didn’t want to be here and if she ever got the chance, she’d run away again…but not without Xavier.

Thinking back at the pitiful words he had whispered to her almost brought tears to her eyes.

‘He had lost… He had lost again…’

Poor thing, he must’ve been thinking back on that fight when him and Zillon were kids, he must’ve been thinking that Zillon had such a big pack, he had a beta, he had a gamma, he could go out in open without having to hide and yet he was destroying his little one.

He must’ve thought his brother was selfish, but he had been selfish from the very beginning and it seemed he’d never change…

He needed to stop holding her back though, he needed to let her go. Shee wanted to be free so she could do what she want and choose who she wants, justst like he had…

Xavier didn’t do anything to him either, he had fought for his pack and that’s it, Zillon needed to let him go as well.

Walking back over to the door Celeste twisted at the knob, pulling the door open. “Liam I—”

Celeste’s lips clamped shut when her eyes stumbled upon Zillon who stood before her door. She took a step back, eyes going wide, heart beating fast, especially when he took a step pass her doorway…

Her bottom l*p wobbled as her mouth fell agape, her backward steps continuing as he came forward…

Why…? Why was he here? Why was her heart… Her heart… Her heart…?

Celeste’s back hit the wall, her eyes glancing away from him. She wouldn’t let the matebond control her, she had a mind of her own and she’d use it. She didn’t want Zillon and it wouldn’t force her to get back with him…
