The Beautiful and the Damned -
Pretty please
"Waow" I and Rina voiced out at the exact same time.
"Yeah 'waow' is the right word" Cyrus said with a chuckle.
"Wait are telling me that you guys own all these cars" I stretched out with pure disbelieve looking at the rolls of cars lined out before me.
"Pft" Seker scoffed "Don't be silly Amica mea, they are all mine alone" I looked at my soulmate with a slacked jaw, like really looked at him. Was he seriously saying that all the cars belonged to him, for goodness sake there were pretty much more than 15 cars here.
Rina whistled lowly "I've got to say Beth, you've really hit a jackpot" I gave her a nervous smile while Seker chuckled clearly amused by my dear friends words.
"But where are we going, I know you said it's somewhere safe, but where exactly?" My curiosity was itching me.
"You'll know when we get there Amica mea" was his response back.
"Now pick a car of your choice Amica mea, and you guys take any car, Rina you're riding with Cyrus" Seker gave out his orders distinctively.
"And also Randuff, please take care of our other problem" Once again he spoke giving Randuff something like a secret coded message.
What did he mean by other problem?
After the others picked their cars and left, it was remaining Seker and I.
"Amica mea we really don't have the whole bloody day, would you like I don't know decide on a car much faster" Ok first of all that was incredibly rude, and second of all I wasn't really crazy about cars and all we could pretty much go with anyone of them I really didn't care.
Then why the hell are you still wasting precious time.
Right "The black one" was all I said.
Seker chuckled out "You would have to be much more specific than that Love, there are a shit lot of black cars here" was it weird to blush when someone calls you love. It is? Well then that makes me straight up weird.
"Fine, the black Bugatti, wait that's a Bugatti Right" I sighed in exasperation.
"That's a Ferrari" he couldn't even subdue the amused snort that he let out.
"I knew that" I muttered defensively.
"Sureee you did" he gave me a smirk after he spoke.
"Anyways let's just go" I mumbled while walking to the direction of the car. I heard him release a short laugh behind me.
So we were presently in the car still on our way to the 'secured place' that Seker wasn't still bludging to tell me about, although I've been continuously asking him non stop for a while now.
"Pwissss" I stressed out whining like a little child, trying my best to give him what I hoped to be an irresistible pout.
Seker removed his eyes from the road, turned to face me then immediately faced right back. oh and I most definitely didn't miss that sly smirk of he's.
"Pretty please" I tried once more.
He chuckled this time around. With his face still facing the road direction he spoke.
"Amica mea, you've asked me more than ten times now, and I'm still going to give you the same answer" he paused briefly "No" he laughed.
Sigh, so much for effort huh.
"Well then at least tell me why you couldn't just teleport us there. Was the car really necessary?" I asked trying another approach. And plus I was quite curious as to why we were using a car when he could simply teleport us to the 'secured place' in the blink of an eye.
"You're right I could have just easily teleported us all there but the place we are going isn't exactly the type of place you can easily teleport to" he answered. "What do you mean?" I asked.
"It's protected by magical wards and ancient ruins, it's pretty much impossible to teleport directly into it, or even close to it" he explained further.
It's a good thing that I have read a pretty decent amount of supernatural books, if not I wouldn't have understood shit of what he said.
"Even for you!" I widened my eyes a little.
He chuckled but it seemed humorless "Oh especially for me Amica mea"
"Huh" I stared at him in confusion.
"I created the wards and ruins myself" he sighed.
"Wait that doesn't even make any form of sense, you were the one that made the barrier's and you made it to work against you also?" It didn't really make any sense whatsoever. "Yes" he said curtly.
"Why?" I asked once more.
With a dark look he said "Because there is something in there that I never want getting out"
I didn't even have the opportunity to ask him to explain further because the next thing he said was "We've arrived"
Well it was about bloody damn time.
