not love each other. Everything was just a matter of mutual benefit.
Ms. Cooke pretended to be engaged to Silas in order to avoid pressure from her pack to get mated. He was afraid that Taya would feel guilty and not be able to confidently choose Griffon. Now she has overcome the emotional barrier and told him directly and honestly that her life cannot be without Griffon.
