Today, Sara had an appointment for a prenatal check-up, and her feelings were a mix of happiness and sorrow. During her last visit to the hospital, she had seen other women, each cared for and fretted over by their husbands while she was there alone. Tears welled in her eyes, but she forced herself to appear normal to avoid drawing attention.

Sara was dressed in a white, exquisitely embroidered, loose-fitting dress, which was quite comfortable for moving around. Even with her makeup applied subtly, her elegant demeanor still made her stand out in the crowd. After registering, Sara waited for her name to be called in the maternity ward. The doctor in charge of her care was delayed due to emergency surgery, so Sara had to wait.

This international hospital was known for its high-quality services, primarily attended by the affluent and influential. Sara wore sunglasses to avoid being recognized.

She took out her phone to listen to a favorite song, the gentle melody through her headphones relaxing her. She closed her eyes, leaning her head back, letting her mind drift with the music.

Suddenly, a wheelchair carelessly bumped into her, startling her and causing her phone to fall. As Sara bent down to pick it up, a familiar voice reached her ears, making her freeze in recognition. "Sara! What are you doing here?" Since Jessica had left in a huff, Sara had been unable to contact her. Sara thought Jessica might never forgive her for as long as she lived.

Contrary to Sara's fears, upon seeing her, Jessica's face lit up with joy, tears brimming in her eyes, their joyful handclasp mingling with a hint of remorse.

"Sara, Sara!" Jessica's soft, small hands gripped Sara's tightly, moving her to tears.

On the second-floor hallway of the hospital, Sara helped Jessica to stand up slowly, leaning against the railing. It was clear that Jessica struggled to move even a short distance.

"Jessica, what's wrong with your leg? Why didn't you tell me?" Sara asked with concern, gently touching the sore spot. She had no idea what Jessica had been through to end up in such a state.

"Don't worry about me, I'm fine. On the contrary, Sara, are you okay? I've heard everything that happened, and I'm sorry for misunderstanding you." Jessica withdrew her leg, bowing her head in regret for her recent petulance.

"It's all my fault; I should have been clear with you initially. But everything's alright now." Sara gazed into the distance below at the hospital entrance, bustling with people, each absorbed in their own lives and troubles, indifferent to the two of them.

"Henry is a good person. If you've decided to commit to him, why not see it through?"

"The good deserve the good, and I..." Sara's voice trailed off, choked with emotion.

"I used to think that time would help me accept him and his love, but I was wrong. Without feelings from the start, being together doesn't change anything. And what about your feelings for Henry? Do you plan to keep them to yourself forever?"

"Now that I'm in this situation, what's the point in talking about feelings? How can I care for him if I can't even care for my daily needs?" Jessica said somberly, her eyes brimming with tears.

"Jessica, it's all my fault. You wouldn't have ended up in this predicament without my foolish decisions. I'm truly sorry." Sara cried. She had never felt more blameworthy. She could be caustic and harsh with others, but the thought of hurting Jessica had never crossed her mind, yet that was precisely what she had done.

Seeing Sara's remorseful, sad face, Jessica couldn't bear it.

"I also misunderstood you and caused you pain. I'm sorry."

"It's all my fault."

Suddenly, Sara looked into Jessica's eyes, brimming with unspoken thoughts, and asked,

"You must be wondering if things between Leon and me have truly ended, right?"

"Don't worry, he has nothing to do with the baby. I've made things clear to him, and from now on, we go our separate ways." Jessica watched Sara's delicate hand caressing her slightly protruding belly, hoping these words were true. Jessica didn't hate Leon, but he had caused her dear friend enough suffering.

"After I left that day, I had an accident and have been in the hospital ever since. Being here, with my parents always by my side, made me realize there's nothing more important than family. Sara, you have your family, so you should cherish them to avoid future regrets."

Jessica's words inadvertently reminded Sara of her father. She knew her situation must have caused him great distress, but what's done is done, and spilled water can't be gathered up again.

"I understand, but it might take a long time before my father and I can understand each other again," Sara replied, her smile tinged with a sense of helplessness. "What plans do you have for the future?"

"I'll move out and live independently. I'm about to become a mother, so I need to learn to stand on my own two feet to support my child in the future. Besides, my father has had enough worries because of me recently; it's time for him to rest. "Sara, look, my legs are getting much better already; soon, I'll be running and jumping around. If you ever need help, just let me know," Jessica said enthusiastically, lightly rotating her legs to show her improvement. Sara now truly understood the value of friendship, being there for each other through thick and thin.

Jessica, with her gentle and righteous nature, always thinking of others, made Sara wish the world had more angels like her.
