Anna's POV

"Anna!" Thea shouted as I entered the condo. I think she was worried about me because I forgot to tell her what happened to me. "Where did you go? I'm worried about you," she said and hugged me. "It's a long story Thea but I'm fine so don't worry. I'm sorry I didn't tell you."

"It's okay, as long as when you're going somewhere or what, let me know so I don't worry," she said. I nodded.

Like a real sister that we call each other.

"What happened to you? Why do you have a bandage on your head?" she asked in surprise.

"My boss went to a meeting with us, in an unexpected event we had an accident. Fortunately, we are both fine, in fact, we even visited Lola Cita because her house was close to the hospital we went to," I explained. "Is that so? How are you feeling? Is anything still hurting you?"

"Nothing. I'll come in tomorrow."

"You sure?"

"Sure, I'm going to rest, run Thea let that go. I'm sorry because I worried about you. Let it go and it won't happen again."

"It should be Anna. I thought that's how you are, and your boyfriend comes here every minute when you probably haven't come home yet," she said with a smile. My eyebrows rose.

"Who's a boyfriend. I've never had a boyfriend, Thea."

"Who else? Daruel," she replied laughing.

"That's not my boyfriend. Oh, he's going to make me cry," I said and she nodded. I immediately went to the room and immediately took a shower.

As I took a bath, I couldn't get Sir Drake's smile out of my mind. I don't know why but it just spontaneously registers in my brain.

What is happening to me?

Am I going crazy?

Eventually, I ended up taking a shower as well, as I was drying my hair my cellphone suddenly rang on the bed.

I was surprised to look there.

Who is this?

I suddenly answered the call.

"Hello?" I wondered.

"Thank god you answer my call," my eyes widened when I heard Daruel's voice from the other line.

Wait! Who did he get my number from?

"Hello, sorry I didn't notice I was calling," I replied.

"How are you Anna, I found out from Thea that you didn't come home one day. Did something happen?"

"Long story short. But don't worry, I'm okay. Thank you for worrying."

"Thank god you're okay. I got your number from Thea. I'm worried about what happened to you," he said. "Can I ask you a favor?" he added. "Sure, what is that?" I wondered.

"Can you come out on the balcony for a moment? I just want to see you," he replied. I was stunned for a moment as I thought of what to answer.

"All right, I'll just come out for a moment," I replied and left the room. I saw that Thea's room was closed, perhaps it was deafening.

I opened the sliding door to the balcony.

I looked across the balcony and caught sight of Daruel and me.

He is now wearing a white pajama and shirt. Its muscular arm is sticking out.

It smiled broadly and waved at me.

"Why is there a bandage on your head?" he asked on the other line. I still didn't turn off the call so that we could just talk there because if we shouted from here to me and him we might get disturbed. "Ah this, I only had a little scar so I put on a bandage," I replied.

"Ah okay. I wish I could hug you now," he said softly. My whole body stiffened, I could feel the gradual warming of my cheeks.

"W-Why...?"

"I'm really worried about you."

"I'm sorry because I worried you..but I'm fine so don't worry," I replied and smiled at him.

"You're so beautiful every time you smile."

"Daruel was joking. I'll go to sleep," I said goodbye.

It made me smile. "Good night, sweet dreams," he replied before turning off the call. He waved at me before I finally went in and went back to my room to sleep.

In the morning. I woke up early to get dressed because I was in early today. My body was a bit untrained because I used to work a night shift at the BayLeaf Hotel.

I immediately left the room, Thea was gone but she left a note on the refrigerator door.

-Anna, I can take a little longer to get home tonight. Even if I can't go home tonight, just cook what you're going to eat. My boss texted me, he said there is a lot of work in the office now so he made us all over time. Be the best and have a nice day.

I just shook my head and went to the kitchen. Maybe what time can I get home tonight?

"Can I cook now?" I promise alone. I looked at the clock and I still had 30 minutes to cook.

I first put my bag on the table and immediately cooked the adobo.

I also spent a few minutes slicing vegetables and other things I needed.

I just wait for what I'm cooking to boil and it's done.

I tasted it first before transferring it to a bowl.

"Hmmm, perfect," I promised smiling.

Wait. What if I bring Sir Drake some adobo?

It's as if I can be grateful for what he did to me yesterday. I was so happy yesterday because my grandmother and I met again, then he even accepted me to be his secretary so I am very grateful to him.

My eye caught the vibrant blue Tupperware next to the plates. I immediately picked it up and translated the adobo.

I put the Tupperware in a paper bag. I first looked at myself in the mirror before I left the condo.

Moments later I also got out of the condominium and waited by the side of the taxi.

I waited a while longer and later a taxi stopped me. I was shocked and smiled when I saw Andrea inside the taxi.

I immediately entered.

"Anna! Is that you!" she opened it enthusiastically and immediately hugged me.

"Andrea! How's that?!" I wondered.

"It's okay, I heard what happened to you Anna...it's sad," she said sadly.

"Yes, it has happened. We can't do anything."

"If only I could see that man. I could kill him."

"Relax..."

"How are you today? Have you got a job yet?"

"There's already Andrea, I'm just really thankful because I found it fast."

"I'm sorry Anna huh... I didn't help you because it's true that my mom got sick so I have to watch over her in the hospital, if I only knew that would happen I would have come in that day to protect you." "Why are you sorry? No one is to blame non, Andrea. I understand your situation."

"Thank you, do you live in that condominium?"

"Yeah, actually that's my friend. I'm just living."

"Is that so? Let me visit you when I have free time."

"Thank you."

"Where do you work?"

"At Bentrix Corporation, I was hired as a secretary."

"Yes!" shocked she promised.

"Why?" I wondered. A wide smile registered on her face.

'Don't you know that Drake Xillzion owns that company," she said. 'The man you hate," she added.

I thought for a moment. I didn't think that company belonged to him. I do not remember.

"Yeah, I was surprised when I suddenly saw him in that company," I replied.

"Wow, it looks like destiny is bringing you together Anna," she joked.

"Stop it, Andrea, I don't have a boyfriend yet."

"It's up to you if you don't like Drake. It's up to me," she joked.

"Omg Andrea, you still haven't changed."

"I'll miss you, Anna," she seriously promised. She held both my hands. 'Always be careful, if you need anything don't tell me," she added.

"I'll miss you too Andrea. By the way, why did your shift turn into the morning?"

"Ah, I didn't tell you, the employees at the BayLeaf Hotel changed shifts because they wanted to buy at the hotel but Ma'am Belinda hasn't said who."

"Is that so?" my answer. Eventually, we landed at Bentrix Corporation as well.

"Bye Anna! Be careful!" she shouted as it waved as I got out of the taxi.

"Bye Andrea! Be careful too," I replied. The taxi slowly moved so I entered the company as well.

I met Miss Merly as I was about to enter the elevator.

"Hello Anna," she greeted cheerfully, "good morning," he added.

"Good morning Miss Merly," I replied.

"Just call me Merly, you get older when there's a 'miss'," she said with a laugh. I nodded. "How are you, are you still in pain?" she asked in surprise.

"Nothing... I'm fine, we just thank you because I didn't get too many injuries."

"Is that so? You are fine and safe, we are very worried about your condition," she said.

"Thank you," I replied. Soon the elevator opened and we walked to the working station together.

"Is Sir Drake here yet?" I wondered.

"I don't know, just look inside," she replied. I nodded and immediately knocked on the door of Sir Drake's office.

It was exactly tomorrow so I went in, but when I went inside Sir Drake was not there yet.

I walked over to the mini cabinet to put my adobo. Then I measured with a sticky note and glued it to the side of his desk.

I was about to walk out of Sir Drake's office when a woman with a familiar face suddenly entered.

Right! She was the girl who was with Drake at the Hotel then. Maybe it's her girlfriend.

"Good morning ma'am," I politely promised.

But instead of him answering me she walked closer to Drake's desk.

"Where's Drake? And who are you?" she promised.

"My name is Anna, I'm Drake's secretary," I replied. She raised an eyebrow and looked at my whole being.

This one will last.

Is it because her boyfriend is the owner of this company?

"Oh, I see. Maybe you'll only stay here for a few days like his other secretary," she said calmly.

"Not really ma'am," I replied and smiled hard.

Later he suddenly approached me and stared at me intently.

"Are you smarter than me?"

I did not answer.

"Tsk... This is what you'll remember, all of Drake's secretaries go through me first. Because I'm his girlfriend," she added.

Tsk... What can I do?

Later she picked up a bond paper on Drake's desk.

"You're not doing anything either. Give me 100 copies of it," she said and handed me a bond paper.

"From what ma'am?" I wondered.

"I don't want a lot of questions, just do what I tell you," she said.

Shit! I can kill this woman. She thought she was the one who paid me.

"Yes ma'am, I'll do it," I replied and immediately turned around and left the office.

I just fell asleep and went downstairs to do what she ordered.
