Chapter 59

Amanda's POV

The clouds will be dark and the thunder will sound. I am now standing on the balcony while holding a glass of coffee.

I took a deep breath and sipped my coffee.

It seems like only yesterday that the saddest part of my life happened.

// FLASHBACK //

The casual dinner is already served, I am happily waiting for my husband to arrive so we can eat. I cooked a delicious dish with our maids. I even caressed my stomach when I felt Anna kicking. Our first child. It's my husband's anniversary today and I'm just waiting for him to come so we can eat together.

'Ma'am... Sir will be happy here. Because I think the ones you cooked here are delicious," said one of our maids.

'I hope Jerson likes what I have prepared for him," I replied.

"He will like what you have prepared, ma'am," replied one. I smiled.

A few more minutes passed and I heard our car park in front of the house, smiling I walked closer to the door.

Jerson's kiss greeted me and hugged me tightly.

"How's Baby Annam.. Did you miss Daddy?" He said softly and caressed my stomach. "Happy Anniversary hon..." he turned to me. I smiled broadly.

"Happy Anniversary..." I replied, "come inside and I prepared delicious food," I said. He made me walk into the mansion.

'There are so many of them, hon. You may be tired of preparing it," he told when he saw what I cooked.

"Not because our maids helped me," I replied. He took my hand and led me to my seat.

"It just smells good," he praised. A few seconds later we started eating.

"How's the company?" taking my question.

He stopped sucking for a moment and took a sip of water. 'We met earlier with the CEO of Xillzion, they want to collaborate with our company to further strengthen the growth range of both companies and their presentation is good, but I started to disagree when he wants to change our company with their name. I did not agree," he said sadly.

"I see... If I'm not mistaken, Xillzions is one of the famous companies, but you did the right thing because we won't let it just change what we've worked so hard for."

"I only have one fear..." he promised weakly. "I already know the habit of the Xillzions, they won't stop until they get what they want, I'm afraid of what he can do," he stared at me and his eyes were full of concern.

'Don't overthink too much hon..." I replied, 'ow wait... I forgot to serve the dessert." I was about to stand up when I suddenly felt the pain in my stomach. I paused for a moment and rubbed my stomach.

Gradually I felt water dripping down my leg, my eyes widened and I stared at Jerson.

'Hon, are you okay," he immediately stood up and ran to where I was standing.

"Hon... I think I'm going to give birth," I said weakly. Her eyes widened as she leaned over me.

"Okay... Don't panic..." he calmly promised. He immediately called one of our drivers to help us. He also ordered a maid of ours to pick up the clothes we had prepared.

A few more minutes and we were also in the car, all I could think about now was my condition and our Daughter. We both held hands and I could feel his nervousness, I could feel the movement of the circle inside my stomach which signaled that I was about to release my child.

"Make it faster," Jerson told the driver when I complained of pain again.

"Don't worry hon, I'm here... Anna and you will be safe..." That's what I last heard and I felt my eyes gradually close.

I slowly opened my eyes, my vision was still a bit blurry as I blinked because of the light coming from the ceiling.

I saw Jerson lying on the sofa on the side and looked like he was waiting for me to wake up. I feel the numbness of my uncle. I rolled my eyes and my suspicion was right because we are now in the hospital.

My eyes widened as I realized my stomach had shrunk, meaning my son had already been expelled.

A few more seconds and Jerson woke up as well and immediately approached me.

"Thanks you're awake... Don't move too much," he promised worriedly. "Where is our baby?" I immediately asked.

"Don't worry because she's safe in the nursery and she's being dressed, maybe later she'll be brought here so you can catch a glimpse of our child." Smiling he promised. I just nodded and calmed myself. I had been waiting less than a few minutes when I heard a loud noise coming from outside.

"Hon... What's happening?" I asked. It was as if people were making a fuss outside and shouting. The emergency alarm was also chirping loudly that if I'm not mistaken something bad was going on outside. "Wait a minute and I'll see, just calm down here," Jerson said and slowly opened the door to see what was happening outside.

A few more seconds and he hurried back to the room with some male nurses.

"Hon... There's a fire going on here in the hospital. We need to get out," he said confused. My eyes immediately widened.

"Where is our baby, Jerson?" I immediately asked.

"I'll take care of her..." he replied. He turned to his fellow nurses and ordered them to take me out.

"Jerson... Our baby..." That was the last thing I said as I started to get out of the crutch, seeing how thick the smoke was enveloping the outside and how confused other people were.

My heartbeat was faster because of the nervousness, and I had no other thoughts but my baby and wife. A few more minutes and I were released, and many people were crying and confused because almost half of the hospital was now engulfed by fire. Gradually I could feel the tears dripping down my cheeks. I don't know but there seems to be something in my chest and my mood is too heavy. After an hour of waiting, I still couldn't see Jerson come out which bothered me the most. I was unable to stand because of the new cut on my stomach. My eyes just widened when suddenly some firefighters shouted coming out of the hospital with a man, I was immediately nervous when I saw this Jerson.

I tried to stand up but a nurse stopped me immediately, I could do nothing but cry. I don't know but as I continued to cry my eyes gradually closed and I didn't know what happened next.
