"That's the only thing I don't know because apart from the anniversary of the Madrigal, it's also their son's birthday..."

"What if your real parents had a different reason why you ended up with someone else?" I looked at her for a moment because he seemed interested in hearing my answer. I've always thought about those things. What if my real parents didn't want me gone, on the other hand, what if they left me with someone else because they didn't like me?

"You know... No parent wants to be separated from their child, right?" she added.

"I've thought about that too but I don't know why it keeps crossing my mind that maybe they don't like me so they just left me on the sidewalk."

"But if you meet your real parents again and their reason is explained to you. Will you receive them?"

"Why does the tone of your voice seem like I'm about to see them?" I asked because of his strange behavior and speech.

"Just answer me, Anna," she promised seriously.

"Um... I will accept them, what child does not want to see their real parents?" my answer. Suddenly a wide smile appeared on his lips. "Why are you smiling?" I added.

"I j-just... I'm so happy for you." She said and suddenly hugged me. She even hugged me with tears in her eyes as she won a contest.

"You're acting weird Celeste, aren't you telling me something?" I asked as she let go of my hug.

"It's nothing, I'm just happy because you've accepted them. Come on and we should get ready for later." She said and held my hand. We just nodded and started fixing ourselves.

It was 6:00 pm when we finished the arrangement. We are ready to leave because the party starts at 6:30. We went down to the condominium and took a taxi. We were both silents while inside the taxi.

"You look gorgeous Anna, the red dress we chose is perfect for you, you're so hot," She broke the silence

"Thea, you're still prettier than me, you look fabulous," I answered while staring at the yellow dress that suits her perfectly.

"Thank you so much."

There is a trace of excitement on Thea's face, maybe this is the right time for us to have fun anyway because this past day, it's just like sadness in my heart. After a while, the car we were riding in suddenly stopped at a vast and expensive resort. From here outside you can hear the strength of the music coming from inside.

We immediately went down and paid. We walked in and showed the guard our invitation card. As soon as I entered the palace-like house, I could see the expensive equipment, all the guests were dressed formally and from the looks of it, they all seemed to be of high status in life. After a while, Thea motioned for me to follow her. .we walked towards a group of women and men on the side who if I'm not mistaken were Thea's co-workers.

"Althea!" A woman's energetic opening.

"Hello guys, I would like you to meet my friend Anna," he introduced me. I waved at them and smiled.

"Anna, this is Karen, Jean, Carlo, and Paulo," Thea introduced herself to her companions.

"Hi, nice to meet you." Paulo extended his hand to me and smiled.

"Nice to meet you," I promised and held out his hand. He's tall and muscular and he's as tall as Drake if you check it out.

"Hey Paulo, don't try to flirt with Anna because her heart is full of content," Thea replied, making everyone laugh.

"You look gorgeous Anna, and you too Althea," Jean said.

"Thank you, you too," I answered. After a while, the waiters gave us drinks and we started talking.

After a while, I suddenly looked to my side when Thea's co-workers suddenly stood up.

"Good evening ma'am, sir. Happy anniversary to both of you," they all promised.

"Hello Mrs. and Mr. Madrigal. Happy anniversary to both of you," I said kindly, but I was shocked when Ms. Amanda. Even their colleague Thea was also surprised by his attitude. The only difference is the expression and Thea and Mr. .madrigal, they were both smiling as they watched us. I couldn't do anything but hug him back. We were in that position for a few seconds until he let go of the hug.

The moment I saw her face I saw tears on her cheeks.
