The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing -
Chapter 140 The Cruel Reality
Yasmin couldn't wrap her head around the fact that Allison was being nice to her. She was practically obsessed, insisting that Allison cover everything up and clear her name. But Allison had had enough of her nonsense. "Yasmin, what happened five years ago was your doing. You can't hide from it, but you were only thirteen then," Allison said, leaving Yasmin speechless.
Teachers and classmates tried to comfort Yasmin, but she pushed them away and stood in front of Allison. "Allison, I was wrong. Please forgive me, for the sake of us being sisters."
Allison crossed her arms, her eyes cold as ice.
"Yasmin, I will never forgive you, and you will pay for what you've done! And another thing..." Allison leaned in and whispered something in Yasmin's ear, making her go pale with shock.
"Don't ever think of provoking me again, Yasmin, or you'll lose everything you have!" Allison warned.
With that, Allison walked away without a second thought, ignoring the judgmental stares of others.
"Allison, you're too much! You slander your own sister. I think you're just jealous of Yasmin being better than you, so you want to ruin her!" an onlooker shouted indignantly.
Before Allison could respond, Mia jumped in, "You all must have wasted your education. The evidence has been verified by the court; it's all true. Yasmin framed Allison at thirteen, using such vicious means. She's the real devil, yet you still defend her. I hope all of you end up like this!"
Mia stormed off angrily.
The crowd on the rooftop dispersed, and a teacher took Yasmin back to the office. Soon, Yasmin's guardian arrived, but it wasn't Blair; it was Helena.
"Yasmin, are you okay? You scared me to death!" Helena's voice snapped Yasmin back to reality. When she saw who it was, her eyes widened, and she pushed Helena away. "Don't touch me!"
Helena was taken aback by Yasmin's reaction.
"Yasmin, I rushed over as soon as I heard something happened. Don't worry, your dad is working on a solution. We won't let you suffer any injustice!" Helena said.
"We? Who do you mean by 'we'?" Yasmin asked.
Helena's face turned awkward. Under Yasmin's intense gaze, she didn't dare say a word.
Yasmin eventually went back to the Bennett Manor with her.
Since Hayden fell ill, the Bennett Manor had been under Preston's control. He had driven Blair away and let Helena and Cade move in. Every time Yasmin saw them, she felt intense disgust. But today, what she heard shocked her. That flamboyant woman, Helena, was actually her biological mother.
"Helena, I have something to ask you. I hope you can be honest," Yasmin said, her expression serious.
Helena was nervous. She had never really cared about Yasmin before.
"Yasmin, you must be tired. Go rest in your room," Helena said, trying to dodge the question.
"So, I really am the illegitimate daughter you had with my dad, and you had a relationship with him when you were eighteen. Is that true?" Yasmin demanded. Helena couldn't even look Yasmin in the eye, which said it all.

Thinking about Allison's look of disgust and pity earlier, Yasmin felt a deep sting in her heart.
"Do you have no shame? You were eighteen and involved with your brother-in-law, even had a child. Why is someone like you my biological mother? Why?" Yasmin shouted, which alerted Preston upstairs.
He came down and slapped Yasmin. "How dare you talk to your mother like that?"
Yasmin's facade of dignity crumbled.
She glared at the two of them with pure hatred.
"Mother? What right does she have to be my mother? If I acknowledge her as my mother, I'll be the laughingstock of everyone. How can I ever hold my head high here? If the Walker family finds out I'm an illegitimate child, how can I marry Oliver? You... you've ruined my life!" Yasmin cried as she ran to her room.
Helena wanted to follow, but Preston stopped her.
"Leave her be. Blair has spoiled her rotten!"
Helena quickly leaned into Preston's arms for comfort. "Preston, you're the only one who's ever truly been good to me! You had Yasmin return to the Bennett family for her own good, and I understand that! I never wanted any status from you; I just wanted to take care of the children. But I never expected it to turn out like this," Helena said, tears streaming down her face.
Seeing her tears, Preston felt even more heartbroken. "This isn't your fault. When I wanted a divorce, you stopped me for the sake of the Ember family. The ungrateful ones are them! You've been the one by my side all these years." Helena, with teary eyes, hugged Preston's neck, kissing his chin. "I know, Preston. Only you're truly good to me. I love you..."
Before she could finish, Preston kissed her, and they passionately made out in the living room.
After the kiss, still unsatisfied, Preston carried Helena upstairs. Neither of them cared about Yasmin's feelings.
The Bennett family's scandal affected the Bennett Group's stock, causing it to hit the limit down at the close, worrying the shareholders.
After school, Allison received a call from Jonah. "Ms. Bennett, the shareholders are requesting a meeting tomorrow morning. They want an explanation from you."
"I understand, Jonah. Please take care of Grandpa. I'll handle the rest," Allison said.
She had been prepared for the shareholders' reaction. She called Cleo.
"Hi, Allison. Don't worry, I've been acquiring shares. But someone just released ten percent of the shares, and I haven't made a move yet," Cleo said.
"Who is it?" Allison asked.
"Not sure yet. We'll probably find out during the transaction. Could it be one of the major shareholders?" Cleo speculated.
Allison quickly thought about the shareholders' holdings and replied, "Impossible. The largest shareholders only hold up to eight percent. They wouldn't sell ten percent, unless..." "Could it be your scumbag father?" Cleo suggested.
Allison laughed.
