The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing -
Chapter 39 What Makes a Perfect Honor Student
Mia had a rough night with a nightmare, but luckily, Allison had some warm milk ready for her. After drinking it, Mia finally managed to get some sleep.
Alexander watched Allison with a mix of admiration and sadness. She was the same age as Mia, but while Mia had people doting on her, Allison had to fend for herself. Alexander couldn't help but wonder if she learned medicine just to protect herself.
Early the next morning, Alexander and Hunter were in the living room when James came in with news. Everett had his nose broken and multiple fractures, but the Stevens family wasn't going to push the issue.
"Parker said he's sending Everett abroad and won't let him come back. He hopes Mr. Carter will spare his useless son for his sake," James reported.
Alexander sneered, "For his sake? Tell him he has two choices: either the Stevens family leaves Skycrest for good, or he moves their entire business abroad. He has three days." James nodded and went off to handle it.
Everett had crossed the line too many times. He'd helped Sophia kidnap Mia and Allison before, which was already too much. Now he hurt Mia and even tried to assault Allison. James shook his head. Everett really had it coming this time.
The next day, Mia was full of energy and went to school hand in hand with Allison, which was a relief for both Alexander and Hunter. They had a lot to deal with at the company, so they hurried off. Hunter had decided to keep a close eye on the Stevens family from now on.
Just as Allison and Mia left their neighborhood, an unexpected girl blocked their way.
"Allison, how can you live here?" Yasmin demanded angrily, like Allison had done something unforgivable.
Allison looked at Yasmin and sneered, "Do I need to report to you where I live? Who do you think you are?"
Yasmin was furious and raised her hand to hit Allison, but Mia pushed her away. "Yasmin, are you crazy? Allison can live wherever she wants."
Yasmin shot back coldly, "Allison, are you being kept by someone?"
Allison's expression changed instantly, and she slapped Yasmin. Yasmin was stunned. "You dare to hit me?"
"Why wouldn't I dare?" Allison stepped right up to Yasmin. "I used to ignore you because I didn't care. I didn't want to dig up what happened five years ago, but you keep pushing. If you want the truth from five years ago to come out, just keep it up."
Five years ago? Yasmin hesitated, a flicker of guilt in her eyes, but then she figured Allison couldn't have any evidence from back then. She must be bluffing.
Suddenly, Allison grabbed Yasmin by the collar. "What you care about most is your perfect image, right? Yasmin, from now on, I'm going to tear down all your pretenses. Let's see who the real lowlife is!"
With that, Allison let go of Yasmin's collar and looked at her coldly. "Haven't you always liked being the top student? Let's see who still calls you that after you fall from grace!"
With a cold snort, Allison turned and walked into the school with Mia.
Today was exam day. Normally, Allison would be sleeping through it, but today she finished her paper before taking a nap.
When the teacher came to collect the papers and saw that Allison had filled hers out completely, they were stunned. 'She actually finished it?'
For three straight days of exams, Allison didn't miss a single subject. When the teachers graded the papers, the whole office was buzzing. "Look at this, am I seeing things? There's a perfect score in chemistry!" "Check this out, another perfect score!" the foreign language teacher said excitedly.
The math teacher looked at the paper and grinned. Allison nailed it-another perfect score.
Nola, the English teacher, was over the moon. In the whole school, who else but Allison could ace the English exam?
The office was buzzing, but the classroom was dead quiet. Everyone was in evening study, except for Allison, who was still snoozing.

Some students whispered, "Did you hear? Allison made a bet with Yasmin. She said she'd definitely score higher than Yasmin on this exam!"
"Her? No way!"
"Yeah, I heard she was at the bottom in her old school. She probably doesn't even know what to copy from the book."
Their laughter didn't bother Allison at all because she was sleeping soundly.
As evening study was wrapping up, Nola burst into the classroom, all excited. "The exam results are out, and I have some great news!" Seeing Nola come in, Mia quickly nudged Allison awake.
Allison sat up and saw Nola looking at her adoringly.
Nola announced, "Allison from our class scored first in the entire school on this exam. And she also ranked first in Skycrest!"
The classroom went silent, then whispers erupted. "Oh my God, Allison scored first? That's insane!"
"How is that possible? She must have cheated!"
"Don't be ridiculous. Allison sits right in front of you. If she cheated, wouldn't you see it? She ranked first in all of Skycrest. That's incredible."
Soon, the classroom was buzzing.
Mia, who had been pretty indignant and even made a bet with some classmates, was now over the moon. She looked at Allison, eyes sparkling with joy. "Allison, you're amazing! You've totally outshone Yasmin. Yasmin is only fifth in the grade, but you're first in the city. You two aren't even in the same league!"
Allison smiled slightly. She didn't really care about the grades; she was past the stage of needing to prove herself with scores. But if it made Yasmin uncomfortable, she was all for it.
Soon, Allison's exam papers were copied and posted on the bulletin boards.
The most impressive was her math paper. Not only did she get the correct answers, but she also wrote out the problem-solving process, sometimes even more than one way.
Her meticulous work left the teachers in awe. "This is pure genius. Someone like her doesn't even need to take the SAT. She can get into a top university easily!"
"I heard from the principal that since the school was founded, no student has ever scored this high. It's like she's a god!"
Yasmin had carefully examined Allison's papers on the bulletin boards several times, hoping to find some flaw. Maybe the teachers missed something?
But she failed. Even if she wanted to find a mistake, it was impossible. She couldn't understand why, if Allison was so capable, she had left so quietly back then. Now, Allison had returned with a vengeance and even claimed that she would take everything Yasmin cared about.
Just thinking about Allison's words that day, Yasmin felt a chill.
Meanwhile, Mia was extremely proud of Allison's grades.
Not only did she win thousands of dollars in bets, but she also became a school celebrity because anyone looking for Allison would come to her first.
Mia handed some money to Allison, "Allison, here you go, four thousand dollars. This is from the bets we won. Let's split it!"
Allison was amused; she hadn't expected Mia to make bets and actually win money.
Mia continued, "Don't be shy. This is called vindication. Yasmin has no dignity left now. She always prided herself on being a top student, but this time she ranked seventeenth in the city. Compared to you, she's way behind!"
