The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing -
Chapter 59 Attending the Birthday Party
If it was just about taking medicine, Alexander could handle it, but massage therapy? That was a whole different story.
The girl he liked was giving him a massage was this supposed to be treatment or test for him?
Allison was in the bathroom, washing her hands carefully, completely missing the look on Alexander's face.
"No big deal, I'll give you a massage to help your muscles relax. You'll feel better right away," Allison said, motioning for Alexander to take off his shirt. "Allison, I..."
"Don't worry, it won't hurt!"
A little while later, Alexander yelled, "Allison, you said it wouldn't hurt!"
"Sorry, I'll be gentler."
Late that night, Alexander's skin was red from Allison's massage. He had thought it would be super uncomfortable, but his dizziness got better, and he even dozed off on the couch.
Allison finished up and sat on the carpet, looking at the exhausted Alexander. The massage wasn't just for his fever; it was to help with his fatigue too.
She had just realized that Alexander's health was pretty bad, with chronic fatigue and a nagging stomach issue from years of overworking and bad eating habits. So, the massage was more about getting his body back on track. She went to the bedroom, grabbed a blanket, and covered him up, then turned up the air conditioning a bit. Allison didn't want to leave him, so she stayed by the couch.
The next morning, Alexander woke up on the living room couch, shirtless. He sat up quickly and saw Allison lying next to the couch.
The events of last night were still fresh in his mind. He picked Allison up and carried her to the bedroom.
"You're awake. Do you still have a fever?" Allison asked, half-asleep.
Alexander lowered his head and ruffled her hair, saying, "I'm good now. Get some rest. I'll call you when breakfast is ready!"
Allison was exhausted. She had fallen asleep around four in the morning and didn't realize she was in Alexander's bedroom instead of her own.
Seeing Allison sleeping soundly, Alexander smiled, then went to take a shower and change clothes. As he walked out of the bathroom, Felicity was coming.
"Good morning, Mr. Carter," Felicity greeted with a smile.
Alexander said, "Allison's been really tired lately. Make her some nutritious soup!"
Felicity nodded, pleased to see Alexander growing closer to Allison. It looked like Allison might soon marry Alexander.
Allison slept until ten and woke up feeling a bit out of it.
"Where am I?" She was sure she was in the apartment last night, so how did she end up here?
As she woke up more, she realized she was in Alexander's bedroom! She quickly got out of bed and opened the door, just in time to see Felicity coming out of the kitchen. Seeing Allison come out of Alexander's bedroom, Felicity was momentarily surprised but quickly smiled, making Allison feel super awkward.
"Why are you walking around without shoes?" Alexander was sitting on the couch reading documents, and when he saw Allison barefoot, he quickly went to get her slippers. "Mia called you earlier. Her birthday party starts at eleven-thirty. Go freshen up and eat something, and then we'll head out!"
Allison slapped her forehead. She had totally forgotten about it and rushed to her room to get ready.
The Emerald Oasis Hotel at Skycrest was fully booked by the Wilson family today. Their little princess was celebrating her eighteenth birthday, so it was a big deal.
But only close friends and family were invited. Starting at ten, Mia had been waiting at the door for Allison, calling several times, only to have Alexander answer, making Mia anxious.
"Mia, stop waiting. With Mr. Carter there, Ms. Bennett will definitely come!" Hunter tried to comfort Mia and persuade her to go inside, worried that she might get heatstroke in such hot weather. But Mia wouldn't budge; she insisted on waiting for Allison.
At that moment, Sloane chimed in, "Mia, why are you standing out here? It's scorching hot. Come on, let's go inside!"
"No way, I have to wait for Allison. She'll be here soon!"
Sloane was ticked off that Mia was waiting for Allison. "Mia, you should stay away from Allison. I've heard she doesn't have the best reputation. Don't let her drag you down."

"Don't you dare talk about Allison like that! She's way better than you!" Mia snapped, almost ready to throw down with Sloane, but Hunter pulled her back.
Mia was fuming. "Hunter, Sloane is so annoying!"
Hunter looked exasperated. Everyone in their circle knew Sloane had a thing for Alexander, but Alexander was into Allison. Given Sloane's temper, it was no shock she didn't like Allison.
But this was Alexander's problem, not his or Mia's, so Hunter quickly tried to calm Mia down.
Hunter reassured her, "Don't worry, with your uncle around, no one can mess with Ms. Bennett!"
Mia huffed, feeling a bit better.
Allison changed her clothes and was about to leave, but Alexander made her drink a bowl of soup before they headed out. On the way, Allison was anxious. "It's almost eleven. We're gonna be late!" Alexander, however, was chill. "Relax, I won't let you be late!"
Allison was speechless and suddenly thought of something. "What did you get Mia for her birthday?"
Alexander handed her an envelope.
When she opened it, she was stunned. It was a check for fifty million dollars!
"Having a rich uncle is really something!" Allison couldn't help but laugh.
Alexander grinned. "If you want, I'm all yours!"
Hearing that, Allison blushed, feeling a bit flustered while Alexander felt particularly good today. When they arrived at the hotel, Mia immediately hugged Allison as she got out of the car.
Mia said, "Allison, I thought you weren't coming. I've been waiting for you for over an hour!" Allison smiled at Mia, "Mia, happy birthday!"

Mia was thrilled and pulled Allison into the banquet hall.
Alexander walked behind them with his hands in his pockets, looking relaxed. Just as he entered the hall, Sloane quickly approached, "Good morning, Alexander. I heard you were on a business trip. I thought you wouldn't make it back!" Sloane tried to get closer to Alexander, but he didn't even glance at her.
Undeterred, Sloane followed him, "Alexander, I'm now working at the Grey Group's jewelry company. My dad put me in charge, so I might need your guidance in the future!"
She was trying to show Alexander that she was now a strong, independent woman, a better match for him in terms of status and position.
Unfortunately, Alexander wasn't interested at all. "The jewelry business isn't really what our company specializes in. I might not have much advice for you. You can ask Mason; he knows more than I do!"
With that, he gave Mason a look that indicated he should talk to her. If Sloane took a hint, she would drop the topic.
Alexander had already walked over to Allison and Mia, then handed Mia an envelope. "Happy birthday!"
Mia's eyes lit up, but when she saw the check, she rolled her eyes. "Uncle Alexander, can't you mix it up? It's always a check. Next time, can you give me a card?"
Just as Mia finished her words, Liliana knocked her on the head. "Giving you a card so you can spend recklessly? Keep dreaming!"
With that, Liliana took the check away. Mia pouted, looking like she was about to cry.
Watching this scene, Allison smiled and felt a pang of longing. This was how a normal family interacted, which she had never experienced.
"What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?" Alexander noticed Allison's low spirits and walked over to put his arm around her shoulders.
Sloane, who had just arrived, saw this and was livid.
Allison shook her head. "No, I'm just happy for Mia!"
Alexander guessed the reason for Allison's mood and felt heartbroken. Allison had never experienced family love since she was a child and must be envious of Mia. Thinking of this, Alexander whispered in her ear, "Tonight, I'll take you to a great place. You'll love it!"
