The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing
Chapter 66 Becoming the Center of Attention

Even though Alexander wasn't a fan of the scene, he still reached out to protect Allison. As the opening song wrapped up, the stage lights swept over the crowd, and the lead singer suddenly leaped off the stage.

The fans went nuts, rushing towards the lead singer. Before Allison could even process what was happening, he was right in front of her. "Hey there, lucky lady! Wanna sing a song with me?"

Apollo, the lead singer, said, handing the mic to Allison. It felt a bit surreal, but Mia next to her went wild, shoving Allison forward. "Say yes, say yes!"

The whole place erupted, everyone chanting, "Say yes, say yes!"

Alexander shot a glare at the singer, his hostility clear, but Apollo acted like he didn't notice, keeping his eyes locked on Allison. Honestly, he couldn't see anyone else but her.

Allison asked, "Are you sure you want me up there?"

Apollo nodded, his gaze never wavering. "If you don't come, I won't sing!" He even threw in a playful threat.

Allison turned to Alexander, reaching out to hold his hand. "I'll be right back, don't worry!"

Even though Alexander didn't want her to go, he respected her choice. He squeezed her hand and bent down to kiss the top of her head. "Go ahead, be safe!"

Allison looked at him, surprised. He kissed her in a stadium packed with tens of thousands of people; was he nuts?

Alexander just smiled at her, and she smiled back before following Apollo onto the stage.

Apollo's eyes lingered on Alexander for a moment, then he climbed back on stage with a cold expression. But facing the crowd, his smile returned. "Let's give a warm welcome to this beautiful girl who's gonna perform with me!" Mia was over the moon, jumping and shouting. Allison wasn't shy at all. As soon as she got on stage, someone handed her a guitar. She slung it over her shoulder and started tuning it. A few notes showed she knew her stuff. "Allison is amazing, I love her so much!" Mia shouted, almost wanting to jump on stage to cheer her on.

Then the music started. Allison began playing first, her notes smooth and fast. No one expected the girl Apollo brought on stage to be this good.

Apollo joined in, and the two played together, their music rising and falling. When they harmonized, the music hit a peak, and the whole stadium was electrified.

Allison's playing was just as impressive as Apollo's, maybe even better. Apollo admired her, his eyes showing respect, not jealousy.

"Allison, long time no see!" Apollo extended his hand to her.

Allison shook it lightly, "See you next time!"

With that, she took off Apollo's hat and handed it to him. "Sign it!"

It was a bold demand, but Apollo just smiled, "I'll sign it, but you owe me a meal!"

Allison nodded. Apollo grabbed a pen and signed his name. Satisfied, Allison bypassed him and jumped off the stage, landing right into Alexander's steady arms.

She then handed the hat to Mia. "Mia, this is for you!"

The fans were envious. Amidst the crowd's attention, Alexander put his arm around Allison's shoulder, looking at her with pure affection.

This concert was live-streamed. Sloane, who also liked Sunrise Band, happened to see the scene.

Allison's shining moment was dazzling, but to Sloane, it was blinding.

Moreover, Alexander's gentle gaze at Allison was something Sloane had never seen before. And he even tolerated Allison mingling with the band, something a well-bred rich girl would never do, yet Alexander indulged her to this extent. But before she could watch more, all videos related to Allison disappeared within seconds. Sloane figured it must have been Alexander's doing. For Allison, he didn't hesitate to use the Carter Group's power, clearly showing he was already captivated by her.

After the concert, Alexander had arranged for Allison and Mia to leave the stadium through the VIP exit. Mia was over the moon and wouldn't let go of Allison's hand.

As soon as Alexander stepped out, James approached him. "Mr. Carter, any video or photos related to Ms. Bennett online have automatically vanished!"

Alexander paused and looked at James, his eyes questioning if it was James who did it. But James shook his head; it wasn't him. Yet the photos had disappeared, indicating someone was protecting Allison.

Who could that person be?

Alexander glanced at the slender yet energetic figure walking with Mia. He believed that in the days to come, Allison would bring him more unexpected surprises.

Summer vacation was approaching, and the school had several exams coming up. Allison began to focus on her studies.

It wasn't until the final exams were over that Allison could finally breathe a sigh of relief. But as soon as the exams ended, Mia dragged her out to have fun. "Hunter said we should celebrate the end of our exams. Allison, come with me!" Celebrating the end of exams? It seemed Hunter really spoiled Mia.

Allison nodded and was pulled out of the school gate by Mia.

Hunter had arranged for them to go to a club, which was also a property of the Shaw family. To make Mia happy, the place was cleared out for the night.

Mia said happily, "There's archery, billiards, and golf inside, and there's a horse ranch outside! This is the Shaw family's private estate, Allison, we can enjoy ourselves here!"

Allison didn't know Skycrest had such a place. Indeed, the world of the rich was beyond the understanding of ordinary people.

Mia loved archery and insisted that Allison join her. Allison didn't refuse and went to change clothes with Mia.

Alexander came too, and Hunter personally went to greet him at the door.

Alexander asked, "Where's Allison?"

Hunter replied while pointing in a direction. "She went to change clothes with Mia. They're going to do archery!"

Upon seeing Alexander, Sloane walked over and said happily, "Alexander, you're here too!"

But Alexander deliberately kept his distance and ignored her. His gaze fell on Mason as he spoke up, "Go play golf later. I have something to discuss with you." With that, Alexander walked straight in and headed to the changing room.

When Allison and Mia came out, they saw Hunter and Alexander already dressed and waiting outside.

"Uncle Alexander, why are you here too?" Mia wasn't too happy. Why did she always run into her uncle whenever she went out with Allison?

Alexander smiled, "You look so annoyed! You want me to call your mom?"

Upon hearing this, Mia immediately shut her mouth. If her mom found out, she'd probably come and take her away right away, so Mia quickly covered her mouth. Alexander walked over and took Allison's hand. "Do you know how to shoot arrows?"

Allison looked at Alexander. "If I don't, will you teach me?"

Alexander smiled at Allison, "Of course."

The two walked away hand in hand, leaving Mia a bit dumbfounded. "Hunter, they... they..."

Hunter smiled and took Mia's hand as well. "It's just holding hands. We can do that too!"

The four of them arrived at the field, but someone had arrived even earlier.

"Mia and Ms. Bennett are here too. What a coincidence! Alexander said he was coming here, and I thought it would just be us!" Sloane's appearance didn't surprise Allison, but her sarcastic tone was quite annoying. Mia spoke up, "Sloane, it is quite a coincidence. It seems like we run into you wherever we go, right?"
