Lysander wielded a formidable force, his power and influence far surpassing her capacity to challenge. Every attempt to stand against him left her battered and bruised. Her only recourse was to humble hersel and plead for her mother's safety.

With all her might, she guarded a secret desperately, as if she had spun a cocoon to protect herself and her mother within its silken threads. However, Lysander effortlessly tore through its fragile shell, leaving her exposed and vulnerable, as if caught in the harsh glare of a spotlight- naked and defenseless.

His gaze bore into her- a chilling blend of beauty and severity, as if he could peer into the very depths of her soul through the windows of her clear, frightened eyes. Thalassa's heart fluttered with panic, her breath trembling as despair took hold. Then, breaking the silence, Lysander's voice, deep and resonant, entered the scene.

"I could keep your secret," he said, "but what's in it for me?"

Thalassa blinked, her gaze locking onto his - a collision with his deep, probing eyes that seemed to threaten to swallow her whole.

Her heart skipped a beat at his insatiable look, well aware of the predatory hunger it disguised. With her pulse erratic, she swallowed hard, feeling the air around her grow colder as she spoke, "I could bear you a child. Isn't that benefit enough?"

"I'm talking about right now," he growled, his Adam's apple bobbing with the gravel in his voice.

Understanding his meaning, Thalassa knew it was better to steer the situation than to let him take the reins in a frenzy. Straightening up, she pressed a brief, deliberate kiss on his lips and pushed away, "There's your benefit."

Before she could retreat, Lysander's firm grip encased the back of her head, tilting her face up for another forceful kiss. His lips claimed hers with fervor.

"Mmm..." Her breath was stolen as his lips locked onto hers, sending electric shivers through her senses. His breath, hot and commanding, filled her lungs, owning her every inhalation.

The kiss was intense and wild, as if he wished to meld her into his very being.

Initially, Thalassa thought to resist, but as oxygen grew scarce and her mind foggy, her body softened, succumbing to his will.

Lysander's kisses softened until she gasped for air, and only then did he release her. His lips grazed her ear in a whisper, "There's no need to hide from me."

His breath was hot and domineering against her skin, causing her to shrink away with a ticklish shiver. Instinctively, her arms wrapped around him, her voice quivering, "I had no choice." His moist lips trailed from her ear down to her reddened lips, teasing, lingering.

His voice, raspy like the tide, broke the silence, "Your mother and Bruce were always entwined in such affairs. Why the desperate secrecy?"

His words snapped Thalassa back to reality, her hazy gaze snapping open, heart sinking.

A cold dread spread from within, her limbs chilling.

Lysander genuinely believed that her mother and Bruce had always shared such a relationship, considering whatever happened to be the consequences of their own actions. Deep down, he scorned and ridiculed her mother.

Thalassa cupped his face, gently pushing him away to halt his advances. Her eyes, now lucid and filled with sorrow, met his.

"The child within me is fragile, and I must avoid any further tumult. Please, go back to the little ones waiting for you."
