The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen) -
Chapter 1476
After lunch, Thalassa received a call from a professor at Starhaven College, reminding her of an upcoming exam in the afternoon and advising her to arrive early to avoid being late.
Thalassa quickly packed her bag and got ready to leave.
Fitch approached with a sense of duty.
"Ms. Everhart," he inquired, "when should Dr. Funke's medicine be prepared?"
It was crucial that Thalassa administer the medication to Lysander at the perfect time, as the potency and freshness of the remedy were essential. Typically, she would start preparing the medicine after lunch, ensuring it was warm and ready for Lysander to consume. However, since Thalassa would be away for the afternoon, preparing it at noon would mean it would be cold and stale by the time she could administer it.
Glancing at the clock, Thalassa realized it was already one o'clock, and her exam was at two. There was no way she could prepare the medicine, feed it to Lysander, and still make it in time.
"We'll just have to prepare it when I get back," she decided. "It's fine for Lysander to take the medicine in the afternoon."
"Alright," Fitch agreed.
With her backpack slung over her shoulder, Thalassa stepped out the door.
Shortly after her departure, Zephyr arrived at the Royal Estates, accompanied by Rosalind.
Upon Zephyr's arrival, the staff at the Royal Estates stood at attention, with Fitch ready at his beck and call.
Zephyr, with Rosalind by his side, proceeded to Lysander's room to pay him a visit. Lysander was still bedridden, but his complexion had improved.
Rosalind stood next to Zephyr, gazing at Lysander, who lay motionless on the bed. She had often seen him before his illness, as he and Joshua shared a mentor-mentee bond. Lysander was eight years her senior and, at twenty, was the epitome of youthful vigor and handsomeness.
As a teenage girl, Rosalind harbored a crush on the dashing Lysander, daydreaming of marriage when she'd come of age. However, Lysander always saw her as just a child, brushing off her chatter with a prompt to do her homework.
Now, seeing Lysander incapacitated, Rosalind felt a heavy weight on her chest. It was unfathomable that such a capable, impressive man could become so utterly dependent.

The greater one's stature, the more poignant their downfall.
Zephyr, who cherished Lysander above all, bore the deepest sorrow for his once-proud grandson, now bedridden for three years.
Turning to Fitch, Zephyr inquired, "Has Lysander taken his medicine today?"
Fitch replied, "Not yet. Ms. Everhart had an exam to attend and plans to prepare the medicine upon her return to ensure it's fresh for Lysander."
Dissatisfied, Zephyr pressed, "The medication is always given at noon. Why delay it? What if this change affects the outcome? Can you bear that responsibility?"
Fitch, flustered, apologized, "Sir, forgive us. It was an oversight. However, Ms. Everhart is usually the one to administer the medication..."
"Are you implying that the Royal Estates cannot function without her?" Zephyr retorted sternly.
Fitch, anxious, clarified, "That's not what I meant."
"Prepare the medicine. If she's not here, someone else will have to give it to Lysander," Zephyr commanded unequivocally.
"Yes, right away," Fitch responded, knowing his place as a servant.
Zephyr, the Sinclair family's most authoritative figure, was to be obeyed without question.
Before long, the medicine was brought to the master bedroom.
Zephyr took the medicine with a grave look and instructed Fitch, "Step out and wait by the door. Ensure we're not disturbed."
