Fitch choked up, unable to utter another word. Despite his sympathy for Thalassa, he couldn't risk the safety of his own family. Having instructed the staff, Zephyr added, "Pack up all of Thalassa's belongings quietly and toss them out of Royal Estates."

"Be careful with your tasks. If Lysander catches even the slightest hint, it'll be on your heads!" Zephyr warned again.

While Lysander was still bedridden and unable to wander around, Zephyr intended to erase every trace of Thalassa from Royal Estates without a sound. He couldn't let Lysander harbor any more thoughts of Thalassa. That woman was nothing but trouble. If Lysander continued to hold out hope for her, and something went wrong again, they might not be so lucky as to cheat death a second time.

...

After finishing her exams, Thalassa rushed back to Royal Estates.

Lysander had been showing signs of waking from his long slumber, and she wanted to be by his side as soon as possible to avoid the distress of him waking to find her absent.

Upon reaching the gates of Royal Estates, two stoic guards in black blocked her path.

"Ms. Everhart, you are no longer welcome at Royal Estates," one of them stated flatly.

A sinking feeling hit Thalassa as she nervously asked, "Why?"

"We're just following orders from Lysander," replied the other guard.

Lysander's orders?

Thalassa's mind raced, a surge of elation overwhelming her. "Lysander's awake? He is, isn't he?"

This was marvelous news! Lysander had come around just as she'd hoped, even sooner than she'd anticipated.

Anxious to see him, she attempted to move past the guards, who firmly blocked her way. "Ms. Everhart, we've already told you, you're not to come here anymore."

"Just let me see him, just a glance. If he still wants me gone, I won't linger, I'll leave right away," Thalassa tried to negotiate.

"No, Lysander doesn't want to see you!" The guard's tone was decisive and resolute.

"Why?" Thalassa couldn't comprehend. She had cared for Lysander for three years, eagerly awaiting his awakening, only to find that his first act upon waking was to send her away. "We just follow orders," the guard replied, his voice cold and unyielding.

Frowning, Thalassa's heart was heavy with confusion and pain.

"At least let me collect my belongings," she said, still hoping for a chance to see Lysander and speak to him directly.

"Your belongings are here. Take them and leave," the guard stated, pulling a suitcase from behind the courtyard wall and handing it to her.

Her belongings were already packed?

A sharp pain shot through Thalassa's heart, the sting of rejection and sorrow washing over her like a bitter wave.
