The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen) -
Chapter 1520
Locking eyes with Lysander, Thalassa felt a surge of excitement burning in the abyssal depths of his gaze. Her heart started racing uncontrollably, a flurry of emotions she couldn't quite understand. Yet, after merely a second, she found his intense stare too overwhelming and had to look away.
She picked up her glass of water, taking a sip to mask her nervousness.
It wasn't that she couldn't meet his gaze; it was just like she had said earlier. Why bother getting close to him knowing he was already spoken for?
She had said the same about Alaric, and she wasn't any different in this respect.
Alaric was right. Why should she feel any different towards Lysander knowing that Lysander and Rosalind were already secretly promised to each other through their families' arrangements?
Just before, at the bathroom door, Rosalind had called Lysander to check in on him.
It was time to step back for everyone's sake.
Seeing Thalassa avert her gaze, Lysander casually shifted his own, pushing his wheelchair forward.
"Mr. Sinclair, you're back," David stood up, greeting him and pushing Lysander to the table.
"How's the proposal looking?" Lysander asked.
David reported honestly, "I think the proposal is quite solid as a whole..."
"The Crawley Group has decided to make the purchase," Alaric interrupted David. He had seen the passion in Hertha's eyes and her emotional investment in the design when she discussed the proposal with him. It was a design with soul.
For the Crawley Group to make the product based on this design was particularly meaningful for Hertha. Plus, it was a guaranteed financial win.

Whether in design or writing, when creators poured their heart and soul into their work, it would cause a big splash. That was an unchanging truth throughout time.
Effort and dedication eventually paid off, and Alaric recognized Hertha's commitment. He was willing to invest in Hertha's efforts.
Alaric made the decision on behalf of Ethan, who didn't object but smiled, taking a sip from his glass. He trusted Alaric's judgment. He appointed him as the project director. It revealed an unconditional faith in his capabilities.
David paused, turning to Alaric with a serious tone, "Mr. Falconer, we had already discussed purchasing the proposal with Donovan."
"Donovan also said it's not about who came first but who has a better connection with the project and offers a more reasonable price," Alaric responded naturally.
Though Alaric and Lysander were friends, business was still business. And in the business world, everyone looked out for their own interests.
Being new to the Crawley Group, Alaric aimed to produce results and generate profits, showcasing his value.
Donovan, caught between two eager buyers, didn't want to offend either. He was happy the design was well-received but worried about causing a rift between the Sinclair Group and the Crawley Group over it. If their company caused these two to become enemies, they'd be marked forever.
Finding himself in a bind and unable to mediate, Donovan simply offered an awkward smile, silent.
"Mr. Sinclair..." Unable to argue with Alaric, David turned to Lysander for support.
