Sally POV

"Damn babe, you look hot!" Avery squealed.

We were in Avery's room in the packhouse. She helped me get ready for my date with Elijah. Avery had curled my long hair and put on some makeup. She had put on a soft eyeshadow and a winged eyeliner that made my green eyes pop. She also used some blush and highlighter to accentuate my cheekbones and finished with a dark red lip pen and some light lip gloss. When I looked at my reflection in the mirror I barely recognised myself.

"Girl, you are an artist." I gasped.

Avery chuckled.

"Oh please, you are beautiful even without the makeup. It's hard to create beauty, but really easy to accentuate when it's already there." She shrugged. "I saw it on the first day you got here. You are a badass and you look great." I gaped at her.

"Come on. I really thought the same thing about you." I laughed. "You always look so good and have great taste in clothes. I remember feeling like something the cat dragged in when we got here." Avery snorted.

"Yeah, those twigs sticking out of your hair were just soo sexy."

We both giggled and I chucked the makeup sponge at her.

"No but seriously, get your ass out of my room, go find Elijah and make him a very happy man."

She winked at me and shoved me out of her room before she followed me down the hall to the Beta wing.

I was wearing a long-sleeved, body-hugging burgundy dress that ended at my knees with a small slit up my right thigh. I wore a black winter coat over it that I had borrowed from Avery. Black stockings and black high heeled boots finished my outfit and I couldn't help but try to glance at my reflection when we passed a mirror.

Avery was right. I looked great.

Elijah had refused to tell me where we were going, so I was a little nervous. What if I was too overdressed for this? Elijah told me to dress nicely, so I figured that he wouldn't take me for a few rounds of paintball or something, but 'dress nicely' can still mean a lot of things.

My nervous thoughts were interrupted when I saw George and Elijah walking toward us.

My breath hitched as I stared at Elijah.

He was wearing black dress pants and a light gray button-down shirt. A dark gray coat hung over his shoulders and he looked absolutely breathtaking.

I heard Avery giggle behind me and I realized that Elijah was staring at me, looking just as amazed as I felt.

"You look... Wow... You look amazing." He stammered.

I felt my face heat up and I looked down.

"So do you." I said softly.

"Naaw, aren't they cute?" Avery cooed.

"Let's leave them to it." George said and discreetly pulled Avery down the hall.

When we were alone, Elijah walked up to me and tried to place a kiss on my lips, but I dodged him.

"I have makeup on." I said. "It'll get ruined."

Elijah chuckled.

"That's too bad."

He leaned forward and whispered in my ear.

"Because you look so stunning, that I just wanted to bend you over that table over there"

He gestured towards a small table by the wall.

I giggled, but felt my core clench at the thought of him taking me over a table.

"Well. The night is young, my love." I replied.

Elijah pushed my hair behind my ear.

"Let's go before I do something I'll regret later." He muttered.

Elijah took my hand and we walked out into the brisk fall weather.

"So, where are we going?" I asked.

Elijah led me to a car and opened the passenger door.

"You'll see it when we get there." He smirked.

"Where did you get the car from?" I asked.

"George." Elijah shrugged.

I got in the car and Elijah hopped in the driver's seat.

"Umm- a little disclaimer. I haven't driven a car in months so it might be a bit rocky." He chuckled.

I made an overly theatrical terrified face and grabbed on to the door for dear life.

Elijah laughed and nudged my shoulder.

"Relax, I'm not that bad."

I took his hand and kissed his fingers.

"I trust you. We'll be fine." I reassured.

Elijah put the car in gear and we left the packhouse parking lot.

I didn't really know why Elijah was so worried about his driving, because he drove better than I did.

After a short trip, he pulled in by a small Italian restaurant.

He quickly got out of the car and opened the door for me.

"Andiamo, amore mio." He said and reached out his hand.

I took it and stared at him.

"Do you speak Italian?" I asked.

"Not at all." He said. "I just Google translated it. I'm not even sure if that's correct. Probably not."

I burst into a fit of laughter and bent over, holding my stomach.

"Are-are you kidding me?" I gasped. "You are- You are unbelievable."

Elijah laughed too.

"I just really like hearing you laugh."

A server led us to a table in a corner. The table was decorated with a white table cloth, a bouquet of white lilies, and two candles.

When we sat down and looked at the menu, I stared in disbelief at the prices.

"Elijah umm- this is quite the expensive restaurant. How did you get the money for this?"

"I asked Alpha Jordan if I could get my warrior salary in advance." He explained. "He had no problem with it."

It warmed my heart how much thought he put into this.

"I really appreciate it." I said. "I just can't believe how far we've come in the past two weeks."

Elijah nodded.

"Yeah definitely." He agreed. "We used to get food from dumpsters outside of restaurants like this one."

"I totally won't miss that part about being a Rogue." I laughed. "That and the cold nights. I was happy that I could share some body-warmth with you. If I was on my own, I probably would have frozen to death when the winter came." "Oh I'll share body-warmth with you anytime." He winked. "Do you remember the hunter's cabin we talked about living in?"

My eyes widened.

"Oh yes. It feels like a lifetime ago. Do you think that we could find a place like that around here? Something we can build together?"

Elijah smiled.

"I would really like that." He said.

We had a wonderful dinner together, talking and laughing together. In a way, it felt like something from a romantic movie. It sure was romantic anyway.

When we walked out of the restaurant, I heard the faint sound of music.

I frowned and looked at Elijah.

"Do you hear that?" I asked.

Elijah smiled and took my hand.

"That would be the second part of the date."
