Epilogue

Five years later.
Sally POV
The kids squealed and played by the lake shore, splashing water at each other and laughing. Elijah and Alex were jumping around with them and I chuckled over their antics.
George was sitting down on the boulder beside me.
“There's this thing I've been thinking about lately” He said hesitantly.
I looked at him.
“What?”
George shrugged.
“I was just wondering, those months you spent as a Rogue on your own, Why did you come this way? Is it a coincidence that you just happened to stumble into the territory of your neighbouring pack?” He asked.
I leaned my head on his shoulder.
“No it's not a coincidence.” I admitted. “I stayed outside the border, but I just hoped that I could catch a glimpse of you. Just to know that you made it out of Red Ridge and that you were okay. There was no way I could even try to settle down somewhere before I was sure that you were okay."
George hugged me.
“Thank you, Lala." He whispered. “For everything!"
I smiled and we silently watched the kids play by the lake.
It was in the middle of the summer and we were by the lake in the Blue Eclipse territory. Our twins, Joe and Sarah, were born a year after we came back to Blue Eclipse after Alpha Hudson took over the Midnight pack. It was a hard pregnancy, as I struggled with my mental health after everything that happened. Watching my mate die, being kidnap.ped, beaten and ra.ped was hard to deal with, but the way my body reacted when Alpha Richard marked me was what really haunted me for a long time. For a long time, I thought that it was my fault and that I somehow could have stopped it. But after long hours of therapy, I managed to find some level of acceptance. What happened to me was not my fault. It doesn't make me a bad person and I started working to put the past to rest.
I struggled, but Elijah loved me through all of it and I was eternally grateful for his support. We settled in a cottage George and Alex had lived in before George became Beta. Elijah took over as head warrior after Joe, and he really loved his job. He claimed that for once, he could use his training to do some good. I couldn't be more proud of him. updated by FindNovel.net Alpha Jordan and Alpha Hudson are working closely together and now the sanctuary that the Blue eclipse pack has been, doubled in size.
Alpha Hudson reached out to the rest of the members of Red Ridge. A lot of people followed the other members and joined the Midnight pack. Alpha Rob tried to keep the pack together, but the pack eventually went bankrupt and was absorbed by a neighboring pack that bought all the pack lands.
George's phone pinged and he read the message before he grinned.

We hoppily occepted ond ofter o while, we heoded bock to the cottoge to give the kids o both. George ond Alex met us outside the pockhouse ond George, Elijoh ond I shifted. Joe, Soroh ond Alex got up on our bocks ond we ron towords the border.
Soroh squeoled ond urged me to roce Elijoh so she could win over joe.
The borders were open for us ond we sow Lucos bork ot us when we possed by him. He hod mode the worrior cut on his first try ofter Alpho Hudson took over ond he wos the proudest worrior I hod ever met.
When we orrived ot the pockhouse, we sow Ruth stonding outside the door.
She wos still the Heod Omego, ond she hod surprised everyone by presenting o plon to Alpho Hudson to creote better working conditions for the Omegos in the midnight pock. Alpho Hudson glodly occepted ond now oll Omegos were poid ond the Omego children went to school insteod of being servonts.
George, Elijoh ond I shifted bock ond got dressed.
“Welcome” Ruth grinned. “They've been expecting you. Follow me pleose.”
We wolked ofter her to the dining room where Luke, Posho, Alpho Hudson ond Avery greeted us.
Joe ond Soroh quickly took off with Alpho Hudson ond Avery's kids Moteo ond Joshuo before we could stop them.
I sow the longing look in Posho’s eyes before she quickly covered it up. She ond Luke hod been trying to hove kids for o long time now ond they hodn’t succeeded.
We monoged to get the kids to settle down ot the toble to eot their dinner.
“So boby." Alex soid ond nudged George's shoulder. “Core to shore the good news?"
George smirked.
“Sure, now thot we're oll here” He shrugged.
“We got opproved!” He blurted excitedly.
The rest of us frowned in confusion.
“Approved for whot?” Alpho Hudson osked.
Alex chuckled.
“We've been opproved to odopt o kid!” He excloimed.

“Thot is omozing”" I sobbed while teors of joy escoped my eyes. “Congrotulotions!”

I sow Luke smirk ot Posho.
“Moybe we should tell them too.” He soid quietly.
“Tell us whot?" I osked.
Everyone's eyes turned to Luke ond Posho.
“Well umm-" Posho begon.
“I'm pregnont.” She squeoled.
For the second time, we cheered ond celebroted. I knew Luke ond Posho hod wonted o child for so long ond it wos omozing thot their dreom finolly hod o chonce to come true.
The dinner went by quickly ond before we knew it, it wos time to go home ond get the kids to bed.
I quietly closed the door to Joe's room ond sow Elijoh wolk out from Soroh’s ot the some time. “Hey guys!” He shouted. “Luke and Pasha are inviting all of us for dinner tonight!”
We happily accepted and after a while, we headed back to the cottage to give the kids a bath. George and Alex met us outside the packhouse and George, Elijah and I shifted. Joe, Sarah and Alex got up on our backs and we ran towards the border.
Sarah squealed and urged me to race Elijah so she could win over Joe.
The borders were open for us and we saw Lucas bark at us when we passed by him. He had made the warrior cut on his first try after Alpha Hudson took over and he was the proudest warrior I had ever met.
When we arrived at the packhouse, we saw Ruth standing outside the door.
She was still the Head Omega, and she had surprised everyone by presenting a plan to Alpha Hudson to create better working conditions for the Omegas in the midnight pack. Alpha Hudson gladly accepted and now all Omegas were paid and the Omega children went to school instead of being servants.
George, Elijah and I shifted back and got dressed.
“Welcome” Ruth grinned. “They've been expecting you. Follow me please.”
We walked after her to the dining room where Luke, Pasha, Alpha Hudson and Avery greeted us.
Joe and Sarah quickly took off with Alpha Hudson and Avery's kids Mateo and Joshua before we could stop them.
I saw the longing look in Pasha’s eyes before she quickly covered it up. She and Luke had been trying to have kids for a long time now and they hadn't succeeded.
We managed to get the kids to settle down at the table to eat their dinner.
“So baby." Alex said and nudged George's shoulder. “Care to share the good news?"
George smirked.
“Sure, now that we're all here.” He shrugged.
“We got approved!” He blurted excitedly.
The rest of us frowned in confusion.
“Approved for what?” Alpha Hudson asked.
Alex chuckled.
“We've been approved to adopt a kid!” He exclaimed.
I squealed and hugged them both.
“That is amazing” I sobbed while tears of joy escaped my eyes. “Congratulations!”
George and Alex told us a bit about the adoption process and that they didn’t know anything about the child yet.
I saw Luke smirk at Pasha.
“Maybe we should tell them too.” He said quietly.
“Tell us what?” I asked.
Everyone's eyes turned to Luke and Pasha.
“Well umm-" Pasha began.
“I'm pregnant She squealed.
For the second time, we cheered and celebrated. I knew Luke and Pasha had wanted a child for so long and it was amazing that their dream finally had a chance to come true.
The dinner went by quickly and before we knew it, it was time to go home and get the kids to bed.
I quietly closed the door to Joe's room and saw Elijah walk out from Sarah's at the same time. Elijah closed the door quietly and we tiptoed to the living room.
I felt Elijah’s arms snake around my waist and he whispered in my ear.
“Alone at last."
I giggled and kissed him on the jaw.
“A lot of exciting news today.” I said.
“Mhmm.” He agreed.
“I guess we have room for one more.” I said.
Elijah frowned.
“What do you mean?"
I smiled and took out the pregnancy test that I had taken this morning.
It was positive.
“Ready for a third one?” I smirked.
Elijah stared blankly at the test, then I saw his eyes glaze over.
“Really?” He whispered.
I had to admit, we had been struggling a bit too after Joe and Sarah were born, so we had given up and just let it happen on its own.
And it had finally happened.
Elijah hugged me tightly.
“I love you so much." He whispered in my ear.
We sat snuggled up together on the couch for a while, just talking about how excited we were, and possibly freaking out a little too.
When it was time for sleep, I got up and saw Elijah hesitate.
“Is it okay if I go for a run, Love?” He asked.
I shrugged.
“Sure” I shrugged. “Are you coming to bed when you're done?”
Elijah smiled and nodded before leaving the cottage.
Much later, I felt the bed dip beside me and Elijah’s voice whispered in my ear.
“Good night, Love. Sweet dreams. I love you."
Elijah POV
Happiness.
That was the only way to describe my life.
After everything that happened, I learned to seize every moment, because you don't really know if it could be your last.
I shifted and ran through the forest.
My wolf was giddy and I know that there was no way I would be able to sleep with him yipping inside my head.
So I decided to let him loose for a while.
After running off most of my wolf's excitement, I stopped by the lake and looked out over the surface. The sun was going down, casting an orange glow on the still water.
Five years ago, I screamed my pain into the lake. Now I felt like screaming with joy instead. Sally was pregnant.
Last time I was this happy, we found out that we were expecting twins.
I smiled and thought about my conversation with Sarah back at the pond and I wondered if she ever found her peace.
Couldn't hurt to try.
“Sarah.” I whispered. “I don’t know if you can hear me. But I can let you go now. I found my peace. It's time for you to find yours. Goodbye, my dear friend.”
A soft breeze blew past me with a quiet whisper.
“Goodbye.”
