The Blue Wolf -
Chapter 30 (The End)
Arabella’s Perspective:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the next week, Will discussed and planned with August, Michael, Nina, and Christopher how more than half of The Yellow Stone Pack was completely against Ryker’s methods. And only followed him out of fear, of him doing something cruel to them or their loved ones.
William openly said that each one of the members from The Eclipse Pack would be accepted as a pack member here. But first would be put through an extensive evaluation by his warriors and the council, because he couldn’t take any risks, and if someone turned out to be a rat or fraud, he’d kill them, himself. I added to that statement, saying “Or I’ll just kill them, the same way I killed Ryker.” Will had smiled at that sentence.
I spent a lot of the time in my day with Alex, his mother, Nico, and Sophie. Alex had started calling me “Aunty Ara” which made me happy. We had given Alex and his parents, a little cabin in the woods, for them to get settled in. Alex loved that. Alex had made friends very quickly with some other kids his age in our pack, and he told the story of how I saved him to everyone. I found that cute.
I learned that Alex’s mother and father weren’t that much older than us, both only thirty years old. Camille told me her and August’s love story. They met when they were both only 17, and it was back when Ryker’s parents were still Alpha and Luna.
She told me how his parents had been very nice and simple people. They weren’t hungry for power at all, and they were happy with what they had. They were very fair leaders and everyone respected them. She said that “Their son Ryker had always been strange. And everyone knew that. And once he became Alpha, he killed his parents, the day after, made it look like they died of old age, and he did it while they were sleeping in their beds. Then from there on out, it just got worse and worse. Because he was so highly regarded by The Council. And he had gotten the honor medal.”
“It was impossible to prove the sick things he would do. Every time someone would try to tell The Council. They’d just reject the case because they wouldn’t believe how anyone could be reporting someone like Ryker. His methods were so bizarre. Half of the pack, he did get into their heads. The other half only obeyed out of pure fear. He was even a rapist. One of my friends from high school was a reoccurring victim of his. But she was helpless. He said he’d kill her daughter and husband if she tried to defend herself in any way.”
I looked at Camille sympathetically. The truth was I honestly wasn’t shocked by any of this information. I was well aware of how f****d up Ryker was. When Camille and August asked over dinner one night, me and William’s love story, William and me started laughing. We told our new friends how we met, and how we fought, they were fully intrigued and in hysterics.
William had finally got me a phone. I had told my family I was fully moved in with Willam, and totally in love and all that other good stuff. My family had face-timed with Will and his family. My mother totally approved of William and thought his parents were classy. My siblings thought Will was way too cool to be in a relationship with me. And had told him on multiple occasions. Thanks, Anthony and Phoebe.
I was laying on our bed, ready to go to sleep, when Willam came in. He snuggled into bed with me right away. He kissed the crook of my neck a few times then said “Hey Arabella?” I said “Yeah?” He said, “I was wondering, do you think we should just have our second wedding ceremony around this coming Christmas? instead of a year from right now?”
I turned in bed and faced William. “Are you serious?” Willam smiled his charming smile “Yeah I mean, we’ve been through so much already, and it’s kind of starting to feel weird that I’ve never met your family and they’ve never met me or my family in person.”
I kissed William hard on the lips out of happiness “Yes. I think we should do it. I think that’s perfect.”
Willam looked at me curiously “What kind of theme do you want this time, for our Venue?”
I thought about it for a few seconds “Um…maybe like a fairytale theme.” Will smiled widely then laughed “What? like a Cinderella theme?” I laughed too. “Yeah, kind of.”
Will wrapped me up in his arms, inhaled deeply, “Whatever you want, but no slit up the leg dress, this time, okay?” I said with sass in my voice “I’ll wear whatever I want.”
Suddenly Will’s mood changed into a l**t-filled one, he said “Oh will you now?”
I said, “Yes I will.” Will climbed on top of me and said “Then I’m going to have to punish you.” Will kissed me deeply. After that, I and Will got lost in each other completely.
William’s Perspective:
FOUR YEARS LATER:
When I’m certain someone’s downstairs in my kitchen, I slip out from under the blanket that I and Ara are snuggled in. I close the door quietly. I descend my staircase. And then make my way to my kitchen.
What I find there, shocks me “Oh god. Lily, your mom is going to kill me, if she finds you like this. She told me to put the lock on the door but I didn’t think you’d actually be able to open the door.” Lily gives me a smile showing me her little teeth and her eyes go wide, she starts giggling. I can’t help but smile.
I pick up the Christmas cake that Arabella’s mother brought for our annual Christmas get-together that we’d been doing now, for four years, ever since we had our second ceremony on Christmas evening.
I put the tray back on the bottom shelf of the fridge. Then I get a big cloth from the cupboard and wet it with warm water from the sink. And wipe the ground for wherever there are crumbs and stickiness.
I then proceed to throw the cloth into our kitchen laundry basket (yes we have that since Arabella is extremely organized and neat) then I get another cloth, wet it, and clean off Lily’s hands and face, she fusses with me cleaning her face and says in her squeaky voice “No no no, Dada.”
I stop for a second and say “Yes yes yes, you cant go back to bed all sticky Lily.” I tickle the side of her neck to cheer her up and she laughs.
I throw the second towel in the laundry. Then wash and dry my hands. I pick her up and grab a water bottle from the fridge. Shut the door. I make my way back up the stairs and take her to her room.
Once I put her in her crib. She falls asleep within a minute as if she just had a strenuous day, making a mess for me to clean up. I k**s her forehead and put the blanket up to her shoulders. I take one last look at my girl and wonder how I got so lucky.
I shut the door of her room quietly so Arabella won’t hear. Oh god, I’m so glad I didn’t get caught by Ara.
I turn around to Arabella standing in front of me with crossed arms and her foot tapping on the ground saying in a mockery of my voice “Come on, there’s no way Lily could go that far. For one she’d be too scared. Second, she wouldn’t know how to get out of her crib or open the door. You’re just being a worrywart. Go to sleep baby.”
I kind of hide my eyes “I mean, how does a two-year-old go that far? I couldn’t have known.”
She looks at me with an angry expression “But I did Willam. You just never listen to me. You know she could have gotten hurt going down the stairs. She could have broken her neck. She could have died.”
She walks away to our room. I follow her to our room like the love-sick puppy I am and try to cuddle up with her once we’re in bed but she just pushes me away and says “No stop.” I snake my arm around her stomach tightly and I put my face in the side of her neck, close to her ear and I say “Hey, I love you, I’m sorry, you were right.”
She huffs knowing she can’t escape my grip “I don’t forgive you.”
I say “What if I feed breakfast to Lily for the next week?” She turns around immediately, we’re face to face now. I want to k**s her but I let her talk first. She smiles “Okay, now you can k**s me.” I smirk and say “I wasn’t going to k**s you.”
She frowns “Oh okay then.” and starts turning around again but before she can, I put my hand on her back pulling her closer then I tilt her chin up, bringing her lips close to mine “Hey did you know: You’re mine forever?” She smiles and says “I have known. Since the first time you saw me at La Magie Cafe.” We both laugh, then I press my lips to hers.
