The CEO Wants To Divorce Me -
Chapter 127
Ezra was unaware that he was possessedly watching Rosie Graham.
Rosie Graham couldn't contain her excitement.
But the joy didn't last long, she knew very well that if she couldn't win Ezra's heart, then the substitute would only ever be a substitute. What the hell!
What made her inferior to Arabella?!
Rosie Graham gazed greedily at Ezra, Her efforts to imitate Ezra these days had not been in vain. She must fight for more interests for herself.
She had to get more benefits for herself so that she wouldn't be left without the ability to defend herself if her collaboration with Arabella failed later on.
Rosie Graham's mind recalled Arabella's usual way of speaking and gathered the courage to ask, "Ezra, can you promise me something?"
It was so similar!
Ezra seemed to be enchanted and relaxed, "Tell me."
"Can you not abandon me?" Rosie Graham said expectantly, "Even if I go back to being an actress, I will still stay by your side and take care of you, I will do anything for you, you know that, I love you."
The last three words were like a sharp blade stabbed into Ezra's heart, and he snapped out of it.
Arabella would never say those three words to him so easily.
Ezra narrowed his eyes dangerously, his gentleness was gone, replaced by a frightening coldness, "Rosie Graham, I warned you, don't get ahead of yourself!"
Rosie Graham's face turned white and she cried out.
Ezra averted his gaze disdainfully, "I brought you here today just because I have to be accompanied by a female companion at the engagement ceremony, it doesn't prove anything. If you still have unrealistic fantasies in your mind, why don't you pay more attention to the engagement ceremony and maybe satisfy your daydreams?"
Ezra's words were outrageous.
Rosie Graham's heart fell to the ground, was ripped out, trampled on and discarded.
She just fell in love with someone, and there was nothing wrong with her!
Ezra could accept Beth Ruth, so why not keep her?
For the rest of the time, Rosie Graham looked like she had lost her soul. She sat in her chair and didn't respond to anyone who came to talk to her.
On the contrary, Ezra's attitude was even colder. They once thought that Ezra and Rosie Graham had quarreled, but only Rosie Graham knew that Ezra didn't take her seriously.
Arabella and Noah Hall stayed together until the end of the engagement ceremony, and the two of them were a perfect match for each other as they navigated the world of celebrity and power.
Noah Hall, as the new heir of Hall's Group, has saved Hall's Group from the fire in a short period of time, and his methods were more ruthless than those of previous heirs, and many business people were curious and admire this newcomer.
Arabella's original jewelry brand was no less impressive, especially when they heard that the jewelry worn at Emma Wyatt's engagement ceremony was all designed by her. So people just flocked to talk to the two.
Ezra stood in the shadows a short distance away with a glass of red wine, staring at Arabella with a bloodshot look in his eyes.
Rosie Graham dismissed a couple of socialites and turned to see Ezra looking at Arabella. She clenched her fist and walked over, "Ezra, the engagement ceremony is almost over. When are we going back?"
Emma Wyatt and Nick walked over to Arabella and said something to the guests. They all laughed and left, and the four of them headed for the door.
"You're on your own." Ezra put down his red wine glass and walked quickly towards the four without looking back.
The estate was located on the outskirts of the city, making it difficult to get a taxi, and Ezra actually left her to go alone.
Rosie Graham felt helpless and wanted to cry bitterly, but she was still the envy of the public. She could not take the initiative to tell others that she was just a substitute who was ruthlessly abandoned by Ezra.
Emma Wyatt tugged on Arabella's hand and suggested, "We've had a hard time getting together today, I've been working most of the day and haven't eaten a drop, why don't we have dinner together, I'm dying of hunger." Arabella had no problem with it, she also wanted to get together with Emma Wyatt and talk to her personally, but Noah Hall was very busy on weekdays, sometimes replying to messages would be pushed to finish the next day. Arabella looked to Noah Hall for his opinion.
Noah Hall didn't want to spoil the fiancé's fun and nodded, "I don't have a problem with that."
Emma Wyatt and Nick glanced at each other knowingly.
They didn't know that Arabella and Ezra had gotten back together, so they were desperate to get the two together.
Nick took out his phone, "What do you guys want to eat, I'll book the restaurant."
"Do you mind adding an extra person?" Ezra grabbed Nick's shoulder from behind, his tone uncertain.
Emma Wyatt, who can't hide what's on her mind and who hated Ezra, sneered, "Isn't it a little inappropriate for Mr. James, a busy man, to leave his lady friend to join us for dinner?"
Ezra gave Arabella a quick glance, he did not care about Emma Wyatt's attitude, "Nick is my good friend, today is his big day. I'm too busy at work to formally congratulate him on his engagement. Just today I'm free, this meal is my treat, others should not mind." Emma Wyatt's was furious, but for Nick's sake, did not say anything else.
Arabella and Noah Hall agreed and both nodded.
Ezra's mood got worse.
Nick was not clear about the twists and turns, he was not good at embarrassing his friend, "That's it, then."
The five of them went together to a high-end private restaurant in the city center.
The general manager of the restaurant personally greeted them and welcomed them into a luxurious private room.
Arabella and Emma Wyatt sat together naturally. Noah Hall habitually pulled the chair next to Arabella, but was firmly held down by a hand.
Noah Hall sunk his eyes and said, "What can I do for you, Mr. James?"
Ezra sneered, "No need, but I have my eye on this position, so I'd like to ask Mr. Hall to give it to me."
The smoke-free debate rekindled, with Ezra and Noah Hall tugging at their chairs. Neither would let go.
"Mr. James is overestimating himself, I never give up what I like."
"Do you deserve to think of something that doesn't belong to you?"
The words were all about the fight for Arabella, which anyone with eyes could see.
One was a brother who had played with since childhood, the other was a friend who had the same language with him. Nick could not help but feel the headache, and if he did not speak out, the two might have to fight. "There are only two girls here, Miss Ruth and Emma. Let them sit on one side, and you two sit on my right hand and left hand, OK?"
Arabella, as the party in question, did not speak out, but allowed the dispute to escalate and let the bystanders step in to mediate.
Ezra and Noah Hall were both people who knew the big picture, and they let go at the same time and took their seats on either side of Nick.
"Order some food, I'm getting hungry." Emma Wyatt took the opportunity to lighten the mood and handed each person a menu.
After a good meal, Nick puts his hands around Ezra and Noah Hall's shoulders and suggested, "It's not fun just eating and drinking. Let's play a little game, Truth or Dare."
Ezra looked meaningfully at Arabella and agreed with unexpected alacrity, "Okay."
Even the usually quiet Ezra was involved, if the others refused, it would seem insensitive, they agreed with their own thoughts.
"Let's keep the rules of the game simple." Nick put an empty wine bottle in the middle of the table and turned it with his backhand.
The bottle slowly stopped and the mouth of the bottle was pointed at Ezra as the crowd watched.
