The CEO Wants To Divorce Me -
Chapter 130
When Adam saw this, he didn't say anything else. He went to the pharmacy and bought Ezra anti-allergy medication.
After taking the medicine, Ezra's allergy symptoms did not subside until the end of the evening.
Over the next few days, Arabella often made food for Ezra in a different way, and the two became close enough that they began to date frequently.
To outsiders, it seemed that Arabella and Ezra were already in love, but what they didn't know was that Ezra was the only one who was in the game from the beginning to the end. Arabella had remained sober throughout.
Today Arabella and Ezra made an appointment to go to the cinema to see a movie. She made full preparation in advance, wore a light makeup, and just chose the most simple and elegant dress.
"Bella, there's something I want to talk to you about." Ezra finished answering the phone and pushed the door in, apologizing, "The company has an important project that needs my personal signature to confirm, I have to rush to the company now, I'm afraid I won't be able to make it to the movie."
Although this was not their first date, this was the first time Arabella had taken the initiative to invite him to watch a movie, and Arabella had purposely planned ahead for this date.
Ezra didn't want to disappoint Arabella either, but this project could bring the company over a billion dollars in revenue and was the result of the entire company working together overtime for almost half a year.
Instead of losing her temper, Arabella said thoughtfully, "Work is the most important thing, and we'll go to the movies another time."
Ezra's hanging heart finally landed, "Sorry, I'll make it up to you next time, I'll fix it as soon as possible, then we'll have dinner together, okay?" Arabella walked up to him and straightened his tie and collar, "Sure, but I'm bored waiting at home alone, can I come with you to the office?" Ezra looked at her steadily.
Arabella added, "I promise I won't interrupt your work, I'll just wait for you in the parlor and save you the trouble of coming back to pick me up." She stood on tiptoe and wrapped her long arm around Ezra's neck. "Ezra, I want you to spend more time with me. It makes me happy to look at you from a distance."
Ezra was enchanted, "Okay, let's go to the office together."
Ezra wanted to get closer to Arabella, so how could he refuse?
Ezra not only brought Arabella to the company, but also left her in the president's office, not avoiding suspicion in the slightest.
When the planning manager saw this, he hesitated, "Mr. James, why don't we talk in the conference room? The conference room is well equipped and easy to broadcast."
Ezra refused coldly, "No need to waste time, let's get down to business."
The CEO didn't mind, and they, the employees, wouldn't have a problem with it.
For the past five years, it had been widely known that Ezra had been accompanied by a woman named Rosie Graham to major events, but to their surprise, there had been rumors that Ezra had a new lover.
The rumors were not to be believed.
The managers of each department briefed Ezra on the progress of their projects in order, while Arabella sat in the lounge area playing with her phone, seemingly uninterested in their conversations, but in fact she turned on her phone and recorded them, secretly writing down all the relatively important information in preparation for a counterattack later.
The small meeting lasted for nearly three hours, and Arabella was leaning back on the sofa, almost drowsy, while Ezra's eyes glanced in her direction from time to time, with a touch of doting and helplessness under his eyes.
"Keep your voices down, all of you." The presentation was going well when Ezra suddenly said, to the shock of the managers, "Go on."
Urged by Ezra in a cold voice, managers hurriedly control their eyes.
By the time Ezra finishes his official duties, Arabella is already in a deep sleep.
Ezra took his jacket and draped it over Arabella's body. The next second, Arabella opened her eyes and sat up in a daze, "Ah..... have you guys finished yet? Sorry, I accidentally fell asleep."
She yawned, a half-asleep, half-awake look, the hair on the top of her head swayed ghostly, tantalizing Ezra's heart.
Ezra couldn't help but raise his hand and rub her hair, "Well, it's just over, you've been waiting for so long, you're hungry, I'll take you to dinner."
Arabella tucked the jacket back to Ezra, "I'm going to the restroom."
"There is a restroom in the lounge." Ezra finished and watched Arabella walk to the restroom, he took out his phone to contact Adam and asked him to book a seat for the meal.
Arabella unlocked the restroom door, uploaded the three-hour-long recording file to the cloud drive, and then deleted the recording inside her phone.
Although Arabella was pretending to be asleep the whole time, Arabella might not understand all the jargon they talked about during the meeting and might have missed it, so she chose to record it and analyze it slowly after she returned. She and Ezra were getting closer during these days, but that didn't mean he trused her 100%.
It was never wrong to be cautious and careful.
Arabella deliberately stayed in the bathroom for a few minutes, then acted as if nothing had happened and went to the restaurant with Ezra.
The restaurant was located on the top floor of one of the busiest and tallest buildings in the city, a five-star Western restaurant that Ezra had chartered in advance to provide a romantic and elegant atmosphere. Romantic candlelight dinner, indeed, straight to the heart of the girl.
In the past, if Ezra was willing to do this for Arabella, Arabella must be delighted, but unfortunately, Arabella was no longer the woman who could be impressed by a small romantic thing or a sweet word.
But in order to take revenge, Arabella didn't mind playing a love game with Ezra.
Arabella looked around and smiled sweetly at Ezra, "It's so beautiful here, I like it very much."
Ezra said pleasantly, "It's good that you like it."
The scene of the restaurant was decorated according to Arabella's past preferences, and on the way to the restaurant, Ezra's mood was a bit apprehensive.
Arabella had lived abroad for five years, five years is enough to change a person, Ezra was worried about not being able to pinpoint her preferences and then messing up their date.
After a few glasses of red wine, Ezra's self-control was reduced. He gazed at Arabella across the table and said with palpitations, "Bella, we have been together for a long time, and when I am with you, I feel a joy and ease that I have never felt before." "Bella, I like you, will you be my girlfriend?"
