The CEO Wants To Divorce Me -
Chapter 24
Arabella smiled and didn't say anything for a moment.
It's amazing that she can push Beth Ruth down when she's a recent miscarriage and has trouble even walking.
Is she too good or is Beth Ruth too soft?
"Now you've given Beth a heart attack, what else do you have to say! Get the hell out of here!" Gaby James grows more and more furious, pointing at Arabella and screaming at the top of his lungs.
Arabella, however, froze in her chair by the doorway as if she hadn't heard anything.
Gaby James couldn't help but get even angrier at this and cursed even harder.
Arabella was silent, but Andrew James, who was watching the drama, was a bit fed up, "Auntie, it's okay, this is a hospital, you're at least a Jamess family, save your face! Grandpa is not awake now, are you trying to wake him up by being so loud?" Gaby James kept her mouth shut.
Arthur James still showed no sign of waking up until nightfall. The men who had been guarding the door had by this time left intermittently for various things. The only one left to hold on to the door is Arabella.
She sat in a chair by the doorway, hugging her knees and staring, her whole being looking very miserable.
Arabella didn't know how long she'd been sitting there, and felt a footstep stop directly beside her before she drifted back to her senses and looked up in a daze. "Doctor Hall...... What brings you here?"
The visitor was none other than Noah Hall.
Meeting her somewhat lax eyes, Noah Hall sighed somewhat inaudibly, "I saw that no one was in the sick bay, so I looked around ..... you were really here."
"Sorry to worry you, my grandfather is sick......" Arabella said, glancing up at the old man in the ward with various breathing tubes in place, her eyes slightly red.
"Don't worry, your grandfather will be fine, I'm sure he'll wake up in a short while. You're still weak, so hurry back to the ward with me!"
"I'm fine, I want to stay with Grandpa ......"
Grandpa had been so good to her and was the only thing that kept her going in James' family. If Grandpa did wake up because she couldn't, she would never forgive herself!
"Grandpa won't wake up for a while, there will be nurses to look after him. Right now you should get yourself well first, or else you'll be down by the time Grandpa wakes up, how will you be able to take care of him then?"
Arabella's lips twitched and she didn't speak for a moment, as if she was thinking about something.
After a long time, she nodded gently and stood up shakily, "I know ......"
Noah Hall saw this and tried to hold her up, however, Arabella didn't give him a chance and staggered off, back to her ward.
Arabella was in the hospital for several days in a row, and every day Noah Hall came to check in with her about Arthur James, but the results she got were invariably that he was in a coma.
That day, Emma learned from somewhere that she had miscarried and brought Wyatt to the hospital right away.
"Arabella, why didn't you even tell me about something as big as a miscarriage, I can't believe I was the last to know!" Looking at her best friend's emaciated body, Emma burst into red eyes and threw her arms around Arabella, crying her last breath. "It's okay, it's over." Arabella hugged her and whispered soothingly.
After so many days in the hospital, she'd figured it out somewhat.
Perhaps the boy should never have come into the world in the first place, with such an unwelcoming father and so many people who carried malice towards him, he would only suffer when he came into the world.
Rather, choose a happy and secure family again, at least not one like hers and Ezra's.
"How can nothing happen!" Emma wiped her eyes and pulled her up and down, "What the hell is going on, how did you suddenly get into a car accident?"
Speaking of which, a hint of obvious sarcasm flashed across Arabella's haggard little face, "That's for Ezra to ask, hasn't he been trying to get rid of my baby?"
"What does that mean when you say that?" Emma's eyes widened in disbelief, "Does it mean Ezra, he ......"
Before she could finish her sentence she was interrupted by a frown from Wyatt, "Ezra isn't like that, there might be some misunderstanding in this matter."
Emma was instantly upset at this and yelled, "What do you mean, not such a person? You saw that day at the hospital, Arabella was almost forced to jump off a building! You and he are brothers, you grew up in the same pants, so you naturally help him out! Do you dare to say that he didn't force Arabella to remove the baby!"
Wyatt was too disliked to speak, and a hint of hopelessness appeared on his handsome face.
Emma didn't want to pay any attention to him and took Arabella's hand for a few more moments of fine comfort until Arabella was a little sleepy and she and Wyatt were ready to leave.
Not long after the two had left, Arabella was about to close her eyes and take a nap. But just as she closed her eyes, the door to the hospital room was once again pushed open.
The man's ghost-like voice suddenly rang in his ears, "Beth because you're still suffering, I see you're taking it easy here!"
Arabella shuddered and her eyes snapped open, looking incredulously at the man in the doorway, "What are you doing here?"
Even she didn't realize how much her voice trembled.
Ezra looked at her with a grim gaze and stepped closer, pulling her out of bed with one hand, "Get up! Come home with me!" "Ezra what are you mad about?! Let go of me!" Arabella struggled hard.
"Beth's sick, you're coming home with me to take care of her." Ezra ignored her struggles, dragged her and headed for the door.
"What does it matter to me if she's sick? Who am I to take care of her?"
Hearing this, Ezra stopped and smiled coldly, "If it wasn't for that push you gave her that day, how could she have had a heart attack and still be confined to bed!"
After a pause, he added, "It's okay if you don't go, then I'll just have to bring your parents in to take care of her."
"No!" Arabella's eyes went red at once, her parents were her last line and she would never allow him to bully them like that!
After a long silence, Arabella clenched her fist and said through clenched teeth, "Okay! I'll take care of it!"
Half an hour later.
Ezra's car pulled up to Southwind Villa and looking at the familiar building in front of her, Arabella looked incredulously at the man beside her, "Don't you tell me that Beth Ruth is here?" This is where they got married! It's her home!
I can't believe he brought his mistress to their house!
Ezra, however, was somewhat unimpressed and got out of the car straight away, "It's close to the office and I can get back and forth easily. Get out of the car!"
Arabella gritted her teeth reluctantly, half-heartedly before slowly getting out of the car.
She was still wearing the hospital gown she had worn at the hospital, with a wide collar and cuffs that made her whole person look more and more slender and soft. Ezra's gaze darkened a few moments, and he lifted his foot and walked inside.
Arabella followed suit.
This was supposed to be her home, so why did she feel like a guest now?
No, she's not a guest, she's just an underling that Ezra has taken back to look after Beth Ruth!
