It will soon be time for the court date.

On several occasions during this time, Ezra tried to find Arabella to vent, but was blocked by Arabella.

Arabella also did not step out of the room for a long time,she just quietly waited in the room for the final verdict to come.

And the night before the trial, Ezra was once again at the door,knocking on Arabella's door.

"Arabella,I'll wait for you in the study,I have something very important to tell you."No mood swings could be heard in Ezra's tone.

Arabella sat in the room for a long time hesitating and finally decided to go see what else Ezra had to say.

When Arabella arrives in the study, Ezra is looking at the papers on his desk.

Seeing Arabella enter, Ezra put down the paper in his hand and rubbed his forehead a little tiredly.

Arabella just looked at Ezra indifferently and waited for him to speak.

Ezra lifted his head, his eyes looked deeply at Arabella,and he spoke in an unmistakably husky voice:"There's a court date tomorrow,Arabella, and I'm asking you again,are you sure you want to do this?"

Arabella nodded firmly,"Ezra,if you will just sign the divorce papers,naturally there will be no need for a trial tomorrow.If you change your mind,I have backup divorce papers there."

"Now that Beth's still carrying your child in her belly,you can marry her right after our divorce and not have your child born with the reputation of being an illegitimate child.......which is something you should still be responsible for as a man." Ezra's face remained expressionless as he quietly listened to Arabella finish and repeated his earlier query, "Arabella, I'm asking you for the last time, are you sure you want this?"

Arabella frowned a little impatiently,the results will be out tomorrow,now Ezra's approach,in her eyes are just the last struggle.

"Ezra,no matter how many times you ask me,I still have the same answer,there is no room for negotiation on this divorce thing."

Ezra looked at Arabella,his gaze cold and cruel.

His gaze unsettled Arabella's mind, her heart beating fast,a bad feeling growing stronger and stronger.

Arabella clenched her lower lip to hide the panic in her trembling heart.

Ezra finally withdrew his eyes and said indifferently," Since you are so determined,there is nothing I can say.What is going to happen next,you are ready to accept the result."

Arabella looked at Ezra suspiciously,the uneasiness in her heart expanding again,and questioned coldly,"What do you mean by that?"

"I gave you the chance to backtrack, but you don't cherish it,then you have to be prepared to accept the consequences,so get out."

Arabella stood still, looking at Ezra's back,and after a long time,still suppressed her inner turmoil and walked out of the study.

Arabella went back to her room and lay on the bed,the uneasiness in her heart didn't go away for a long time.She wanted to call Emma and talk to her,but she picked up the phone and put it down,but she didn't know how to talk. Knowing full well that by filing for divorce, Ezra would surely bring her threats and warnings,it can be said that these reactions of Ezra now are all expected by her.

And she was mentally prepared to bear the results, but why did she always feel so mentally uneasy?

Suddenly,Arabella felt her head vaguely become painful again.

It was like little hammers were hitting her brain,one after the other, and it hurt like hell.

Just after walking out of the room,I bumped into Ezra coming out of the bedroom,and the two of them exchanged an unobtrusive glance.

Ezra's eyes were still complex and gloomy,and Arabella just gave him a cold look and didn't say anything, but picked up speed and headed downstairs.

Ezra followed closely behind her.

Beth also opened the door and walked out at that moment,she knew that today was the day of the trial,she had waited for this day for too long and she could not wait to know the result beside her now. Of course,she wanted to go to the trial,but she also knew Ezra would not approve.

But it doesn't matter, she just has to sit quietly at home and wait for the final result.

Beth walked out onto the balcony and watched as Ezra and Arabella each walked out the door downstairs and got into a different car,driving out of her sight one after the other.

Beth rested her chin and looked at the direction the car disappeared in the distance.

Who will win and who will lose today?

She was not naive enough to think that Arabella could easily win her case; Ezra was far more fearsome and more capable and powerful than she had ever imagined.

If Ezra wins,then Arabella must be back in this villa and everything will go back to the way it was before, and what will she do?

Of course,if Arabella wins and she divorces Ezra,as she wants,that would be the best outcome.

Beth shook her head,hummed,and took a brisk pace back to her bedroom.

Because of the James Family's reputation at stake, Ezra even used many of his connections to keep the trial from being held in open court.

In the courtroom,the only people in the gallery were Emma, Noah and Wyatt.

Arabella was relieved to see this scene in front of her.

She also didn't want the trial to go public.

Ezra's handling of the situation was to her liking.

The judge read the two men's claims and then called out the attorneys for both sides to make their presentations.

Charles produced the complete evidence provided by Arabella,including Beth's pregnancy report,some photos of Arabella's domestic abuse,and the evidence was presented before the judge one by one.

The judge frowned at the overwhelming evidence before him and looked up at Ezra with a look of condemnation and severity.

Ezra sat in the dock,still expressionless, as if the trial had nothing to do with him.

The judge asked Charles," Is that the only evidence?Are there any witnesses?"

Charles looked to the other side of the gallery,"Miss Emma, Miss Arabella's friend,and this Dr.Noah are available as witnesses, and they can both testify that Arabella was domestically abused.We have also asked several servants who work at Mr.James'villa,and they can all testify.Meanwhile, Mr.Ezra not only cheated on his wife within the marriage, but also brought his mistress Beth home and now Miss Beth is pregnant."

Ezra's eyes flickered,Charles's statement and evidence did not surprise him.

What Ezra didn't expect was that the villa's maid would help Arabella testify in court.

The judge called witnesses one after another,and the first one called was one of the villa's maids.

"This witness,may I ask the defendant Ezra if she is suspected of marital infidelity during marriage?"Charles stood up to ask the maid a question.

The maid came up and gave a shaky look to Ezra and finally to the judge,took a deep breath and this time spoke.

"Your Honor,Mr.Jemas did cheat on his wife within marriage, he even brought all his mistresses back home and often had intimate contact in front of Mrs.James,as all the owners working at the villa can testify except me!"

The judge frowned at Ezra and gestured for the maid to continue.

"And,Vicki says Miss Beth is pregnant,and Vicki is the maid Ezra assigned to take care of Miss Beth."

"Because of this matter,the lady has quarreled with the gentleman many times, and even almost committed suicide because of this matter.""

When the maid told the court all the things she had experienced in the villa,the judge's face became even more gloomy.

Arabella looked to the judge, until now all the evidence and testimonies were in her favor,which made Arabella can't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Then Arabella looked at Ezra again, but Ezra was sitting there with a constant expressionless face,as if he didn't care about everything and didn't care.

At the end of Charles'side of the questioning, as is customary,the judge asked," Does Mr.Ezra's attorney have anything to say?"

Ezra asked Tom,the city's leading lawyer,to stand up, look around at the witnesses, and say coldly,"We have an important witness who will testify that my client did not cheat on her in marriage and that the father of the child, as the plaintiff claims,is someone else.Someone else."

The judge nodded in agreement and everyone turned their eyes to the door,but when they saw the person pushing in,Arabella froze for a moment.

The one who walked in against the light was actually Beth!

Arabella was already in a panic, Beth should not have been here in the first place,especially now that she was brought to court as Ezra's witness. All of this brought out a bad feeling in Arabella's heart.

Beth didn't look to either side, but walked right up to the witness stand,and after being sworn in, Ezra's attorney asked her a series of questions.

"The maid said that you are Ezra's mistress?Then may I ask if the child in your belly is Ezra's? Did you give that pregnancy report to Mrs.James?" Tom walked up to Beth and asked the question.

"Correction,I am just ordinary friends with Mr.James,and he is also my brother-in-law,so ask your honor,how can I be my brother-in-law's lover?"

Beth's tone was very soft, even with a hint of choking, and her eyes held tears of resignation.
