Ezra closed the door to his room very hard, he just felt that if he continued to stay with Arabella,it was hard to guarantee that he would not reach out and strangle her,or that he would be angry with Arabella. He did not understand why his heart throbbed at the sight of Arabella's supplicating eyes.

He instinctively wants Arabella to stay by his side, whether Arabella's heart still belongs to him or not, whether she hates him or not, he just wants Arabella to stay by his side.
