Chapter 32

Jay-la POV

Jay-la woke to find Nathan watching her sleep, blinked at him and he smiled, “Morning sweetheart.” His hand brushed through her hair”

Sleep well?”

She closed her eyes and shook her head. Damned man, he knew she had, looked at him once more to find a happy amused look on his face.

“Training in the gym in like ten minutes.”

“Alright.” She nodded, only to find his mouth on hers. “We’d better have a quick shower, you still smell like me.” He smiled at her.

“What happened to letting me sleep for one night?”

“Hmm,” he looked at her as he got up, and pulled the sheet back, looked her over “I can’t, I love your body, crave it all the time, even now.” His eyes met hers and she sat bolt up right “No.” she stated. She knew that look, bloody horny bastard, she thought.

“shower and training then.” He nodded, but then he tilted her face up slightly and frowned.

“What?” she asked, curiously.

Saw him reach out and touch her hairline. “Are you feeling alright? You look a bit hot.” Saw him, look at his own hand, a single bead of sweat there.

“I feel fine, probably just a bit hot from your body heat.”

“You sure?”

She thought about it, felt Kora use her senses. “Yes, we’re good, Kora agrees.” She got up while he was distracted from his thoughts and had a quick shower, dressed in tights and a gym top, pulled on shoes as did he, his eyes, though were on her.

“I’m fine, just need a solid eight hours’ sleep.” She chided him.

“Well, in that case we need to go to bed much earlier.” He chuckled.

Jay-la shook her head and stood up, actually saw his eyes move over her and frowned herself, because she knew he was using those alpha senses to assess her. I’m fine, though I might be ticked off in a minute, if you don’t stop that crap.”

“Alright. It’s just not common for wolves to sweat, and it’s winter as well.”

“I also haven’t shared a bed with anyone in a very long time, not used to the heat you produce.”

“I am hot.” He grinned right at her.

Jay-la rolled her eyes and shook her head as she headed out of the bedroom, stopped walking to find an omega sitting in the living room.” Hello, Stephanie.”

“Morning Luna.” She smiled up at her.

Jay-al turned to look at Nathan questioningly “I asked for someone to come and stay here, watch the children while we train, in case they wake up.”

“Oh, okay.” She nodded.

She walked out of the suite to find his whole unit coming out of their respective suites. Watched Jackson k**s Margaret and saw Ethan wrinkle his nose at it. He still wasn’t used to his baby sister with the packs Beta.

“Morning Luna.” Ethan smiled at her “Training today, are we?”

“I am.” She nodded, they all walked together to the gym.

“It will be good to have you train with us once more.” Jackson smiled at her.

“Well, I don’t exactly train like I used to, so you’d better take it easy on me.”

“Nope.” Jackson shook his head. “Not going to happen, you need to get your a*s back in shape.”

“Watch it.” she heard Nathan chastise him, looked at him curiously. “

Her a*s is just fine.” He chuckled softly and winked right at her.

She shook her head once more and trotted off down the last of the stairs ahead of them, she could feel that Kora was a little on the restless side. ‘Its alright Kora, I know it’s been awhile, we’ll do just fine.”

Got growled at by her own wolf, shook it off. Kora appeared to be concerned about fighting other wolves, training with them after what they’d learned about themselves. She didn’t want to hurt anyone.

Stepped into the gym to find 30 or so warriors in there for training. She knew all of them, they all smiled at her and she smiled back, though she could still feel that Kora was restless, felt annoyance roll off of her wolf ‘Calm down. We’ll be fine. Stephen is right here, if anything happens, he’ll use that Gamma charm on us. You know it works.’

Got snarled at and sighed, looked at Nathan, he was watching her.” Kora is a bit uncomfortable, doesn’t want to hurt anyone.” She told him.

“Then how about sparing with me only today then? Does that help her?”

Jay-la put the idea to Kora, and then shook her head. “Not really, is annoyed and..” she thought about it, “Angry I think.”

“What for?” the whole unit asked.

“I don’t know to be honest, not really using her words, likely is stressed about having to fight.” It was odd, that was for sure, it was also unlike Kora to growl and snarl at her, was usually very chatty, was articulate and good at communicating things she wanted, it was unlike her wolf to be so primal in her responses.

Stood in front of Nathan, for hand to hand training he was smiling at her now “No funny business.” She muttered up at him.

Saw him smirk just a little and narrowed her eyes on him, didn’t like that look Better be fast Kora. She tried to gain her wolfs attention, Kora was prowling around inside her mind, felt her stop and look at Nathan, snarled a little, seemed angry with him. Which was not, the normal for Kora. That was more Jay-la’s thing, it was usually Kora trying to placate Jay-la.

She dodged and weaved, blocked his hits, he pulled all his punches today, that was not how they’d trained back in the day. Wondered if he was doing that now, because he was their Mate and didn t want to make contact with her.

She was sweating up a storm in like twenty minutes, put a hand up to halt him, and tried to shake it off, felt a little bit on the weird side, dizzy even she realised, saw him stop and frown at her, reached out to touch her forehead and Kora surged forward and punched him, two quick full hits the first to his solar plexus the second to his jaw, full wolfen strength. A full snarl ripped right out of her as she did so.

Saw him stumble backwards, eyes wide as they landed on her, and he tried to suck in a breath. Kora had winded him, she shook her head herself as Kora receded and then just whined in pain. She felt that pain roll from her wolf to herself and g*****d, curled both her arms around her abdomen as she staggered about, trying to figure out what the hell was wrong with her and Kora.

Was pinned down on the ground by Nathan a second later and he was yelling at everyone to get out, she could hear a lot of yelling going on,

• felt Kora snarl inside her mind and then she was grabbing at him.

“Breathe Jay-la, focus.” He was telling her.

“I don’t…l.” pain was rolling through her and neither she nor Kora liked it.

“You’re going into heat. Breathe” He told her.

Gasped as a deep ache rolled through her body. “It hurts us.”

“The first time is the worst.” He murmured, though his eyes were not on her, they were looking elsewhere in the room.

“I have to get you up to the suite.” He finally looked back down at her” Hang on another minute, the way will be cleared…breathe.” His hand slid down her face as his body moved against hers. Grabbed right on to him and ground herself harder against him, wrapped her legs around him and gripped him tight to her, rocking her body against his “Please,” she begged him.

“F**k” He g*****d and his mouth found hers.

She was pulling at his clothes rubbing and rocking and grinding herself up against him. It was helping to ease the pain a little, heard him swear again, then he was getting up, wrapped herself around him tightly and humped the hell out of him.

Felt him press her up against a wall at some point as he moved them through the pack-house, her mouth was devouring his, and his hands were pulling at her clothes, then they were just ripping each others clothes off. She didn’t care where they were, the ache to have him, her need to Mate and be Mated was too strong, nothing else mattered, cried out when he took her hard and fast up against the wall, till she was digging her claws into his back screaming in pleasure, felt him slam home with a deep g***n

“f**k,” he muttered “We have to get to

our room.”

She looked around them, her need sated for the moment. “Where are we?”

“The omega stairwell.” He muttered and looked at her. “Safest place for you right this minute, the doors are always closed.”

She nodded “Hold on to me, Havoc and I are going to move us, at full wolfen speed.” Then they were moving up the stairwell. Out into the Alpha hallway and into their suite.

She sighed when he put her down in the ensuite, “Shower, you’re hot and need to cool down.” She stood and watched him turn the shower on “Is it always like this?” she asked, could already feel Kora prowling inside her mind once more.

“I can be.” he nodded “I should have known, realised when you were sweating this morning.”

“I didn’t know.” She sighed and rubbed at her abdomen, saw his eyes move to what she was doing. Pulled her into the shower with him. She let him wash her down, the water was cool and just having his hands

on her body was helping. Did not however, think that they were going to make it out of the shower. She could already hear Kora snarling, she didn’t like the pain of her heat at all.

“Nathan.”

Kora shot forward fast and aggressive, shoved jay-la violently to the back of her own mind and was on him, he’d not been expecting it and was slammed into the shower door, it shattered under the weight of being shoved into it as Kora tried to Mate him.

Kora snarled right down at him as she held him down on the floor uncaring of the glass underneath him, her hand was gripped around his throat tightly and the other was on his chest to hold him down’ Calm down. Jay-lay tried to talk to her wolf, got snarled at herself, and saw through Kora’s eyes as Havoc stared right back at Kora his Mate, had taken over Nathan’s body.

Felt his hands grip on to her tightly and then their two wolves were in a battle for what she could only think was dominance, as they tried to Mate each other aggressively, though Kora not once let go of his throat, snarled and growled at him and appeared to be trying to choke the life out of her Mate. Havoc snarled and growled right back at her as they rolled around on the floor trying to take control of the Mating.

Seems both of them had turned primal in nature due to Kora being in heat. She could not stop Kora, no amount of talking or yelling at her to calm down worked and then she was just sharing the pleasure of being Mated as Kora took to Havoc in her desperate need to be sated.

She was left lying on top of Nathan’s body on the bathroom floor as Kora finally receded. Her need to mate passed, her breathing was ragged and heavy, took her a full minute to catch her breath and push herself up off of him to look down at him. He had a full handprint around his throat from Kora’s grip on him. “Are you alright?” she sighed

“Kora choked you.” she stated as she got up off of him.

“We’ll be fine.” He told her “And it was Havoc, not me.” He got himself up, turned and looked at himself in the mirror.

Jay-la sighed heavily. She could see there was glass embedded in his back and arms, practically all down his body. “Let me.” She shook her head and started pulling the glass from him, she knew Havoc would heal him in no time, but that didn’t excuse Kora’s behaviour. “I don’t know what’s wrong with her.”

Don’t worry about it.” he tilted her chin up “Havoc actually liked it.” saw him shake his head a little. “Likes how strong she is, that she’ll fight him for control…Excites him actually.”

“Both our wolves are crazy.” Jay-la muttered.

“It does appear that way.” He nodded “Turn around, let me look at you.” he said when she couldn’t find anymore glass in him. she did and felt him pluck out half a dozen pieces himself, and shook her head.

“She seems so angry, doesn’t like the pain at all.”

“Jay-la, it’s okay. We are fine, is she settled?”

“Yes, laying down, but not sleeping.” Looked up at him. “It’s not over, her ears are flat.”

“Alright.” He turned her back to the shower, they washed down once more before picking their way through the glass to the bedroom. “You get into the bed, I’ll clean up the glass.”

She did as was told, and watched him pull on shorts, and did just that, looked at her after he’d cleaned up all the glass. “You hungry? We should eat while you are sated.”

“Probably a good idea.” She nodded and went to get up.

“You stay here in the bedroom, I’ll get it” he commented “Just rest up, you have several days of heat ahead of you, you just rest. I will get food and things for us.”

She nodded and let him go about doing what he wanted, she wasn’t going to stop him, knew this was generally what it was like. The male could leave the safety of the bedroom, but the she-wolf in heat should not. Others could scent her so it was safer to stay put. Had seen her father always take care of her mother during her heats. Had once been told ‘It’s what we males do, protect, feed and mate, during a heat.’

Her heat lasted five days and in that time Kora took control of her many times to Mate furiously with Havoc, though thankfully, most of the time it was just her and Nathan. She couldn’t believe just how much pleasure she herself derived from being knotted by him. It was like fireworks going off inside of her, just lay there afterwards curled into him, pressed all up against him, didn’t want to be away from him. begged to be knotted by him on more than one occasion.

Woke up on day 5 to find Kora sound asleep inside her mind, curled up all comfy like, and knew it was over, finally felt normal once more.

Looked at Nathan sleeping in the bed next to her. Didn’t know how he had managed to mate so many times. He never once complained that he was tired, though she knew he had to be, he slept well between her needs flaring up and taking over her.

Was sleeping well right this minute. She didn’t want to wake him either. She was taking the opportunity to just watch him sleep. She had not done that in a very long time. He’d not only taken care of her needs,

he’d also made sure that she had eaten properly, stayed hydrated and had even checked on the triplets, mind-linked to his mother who was looking after them in their suite.

Made sure they were safe and doing alright with being separated from her. They didn’t much like it, but were okay. Other than that all his attention was on her. They’d even managed to talk and hold down normal conversations, even discussed Christmas, that she had all the-children’s gifts back in the apartment in L.A.

He’d told her he’d have them sent out and even suggested that perhaps Suzy and her family could bring them. She’d agreed to call her about it after her heat was over. She’d not brought up going back to L.A. with him. didn’t want to fight with him, not when it seemed they were finally getting along

Her walls where he was concerned were down right this minute, she knew their bond was even stronger than before. He’d barely left her side, and only to get things for her. She had woken up sometimes to him just trailing his fingers over her skin lightly, or brushing his hand through her hair, like he’d once used to. It was really nice to feel that with him once more.

They’d even slept together without her need to Mate. She’d looked up at him a few times and he’d just smiled down at her as those fingers trailed her skin and she’d just wanted him like she’d always done, reached up and kissed him and it had gone from there. No wolves, just her and him.
