Chapter 883 Fragile Yet Perfect

Nicole was just about to laugh and discuss with Clayton about the predictable plot, only to turn to the side and see Clayton's pale face as he covered his face. He did not dare to look at the screen at all!

Nicole was a little surprised. 'A man like him is afraid of this?'

"Mr. Sloan, are you alright?"

When Clayton heard Nicole's voice, he pursed his lips, put his hands down, and turned to look at her as if nothing was wrong.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

However, his smile was a little wan.

Nicole laughed. She could not help but laugh when she realized that Clayton was afraid of horror films.

"Look, the girl should be pulling the door instead. The door won't open because she's pushing it..."

Clayton turned his head to look, just in time to see a female ghost with long hair suddenly appear on the screen. He jumped in fear.

There was some surprise in those dark eyes, and his finger bones were well defined as he grabbed onto the armrest. He looked like he was in shock. He said in a hoarse voice, "Oh, right..."

Nicole pursed her lips. "If you're scared, we don't have to watch it..."

"No, I'm not scared. I just can't accept traditional Japanese culture..."

Clayton was still explaining himself, but then he looked at Nicole in surprise.

"Why aren't you afraid at all?"

Nicole blinked. "My third brother often takes me to the filming sets, and I know how the scenes are shot, so there's nothing to be afraid of..."

Clayton nodded in realization. 'So, that was why.'

After his shock passed, he asked in a hoarse voice," Kai also shoots this genre?"

Nicole shook her head. "It'll affect his public persona and the box office, so he won't."

The two of them chatted, and time slowly passed by.

Nicole suddenly noticed that although Clayton was facing the screen, his line of sight was not at all on the screen.

She walked over and handed him a bottle of water. Clayton took it and downed half the bottle in one go. The fright in his heart gradually eased.

He was a person with special status on Wall Street, but he was so afraid of horror films?

Nicole said, "It's almost time. Shall we go back?"

Clayton nodded. His pale lips curled into a smile.

When they got to the car, Nicole stopped him. "Let me drive..."

He did not seem to be in the right state to drive.

Clayton was silent for a moment and agreed.

At the Stanton Mansion, Nicole got out of the car and asked the driver to send him back.

Clayton refused. "I'm fine now. I can go back by myself."

At his insistence, Nicole did not force the matter.

Clayton left.

Nicole went in and saw Kai playing games in the living room. Tigger also grabbed a phone to assist Kai, surmounting the difficulties all the way. It could not go any better. "Isn't this cheating?"

Tigger was an Al tiger and had a much higher IQ than ordinary computers.

Kai paused for a moment and looked at her. "Tigger is my little brother!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Tigger dropped the iPad and ran in circles around Nicole's feet, wagging its tail.

"Mama, carry me..."

Nicole smiled and picked Tigger up. She glanced at the defeated Kai. Her eyes curved in a smile.

"It's not that I want to take advantage of you..."
