Chapter 53 - Now I’m Pissed Off

* The Castle at Drakor; The Capital of the Chromos *I Viola POV

I have decided to tell Lucian that I am pregnant. I've struggled with whether or not I should tell him because on one hand I don't want to send him into battle with greater weight on his mind than what is already there but on the other hand I may never see him again and I would hate to think of him dying on the battlefield not knowing that he had a baby boy or girl on the way. I'm currently in our bedroom staring out of our window and looking down at one of the gardens. It looks so peaceful that you would never guess that battle, grief, and death is on the horizon.

"Viola, the maid said that you needed to speak with me. Is everything alright?" Lucian said as he stepped into the room.

"Yes. I wanted to tell you something important before you left for battle." I turn from the window to look to walk over to him. I take both of his hands in mine and I sit down gently on the bed. "Lucian, I'm pregnant and the doctor thinks I might be pregnant with twins." I search his face for his reaction but he remains stoic.

Lucian POV

I drop down to my knees in front of Viola. "You have made me the happiest man alive. Our family is truly blessed. We already have Angelus and Sia and now we may have two more little ones. I bet Sia will be the best big sister that anyone can ever ask for and we've already seen how protective Angelus is as a big brother. Now, I want you to get plenty of rest and eat lots of healthy food. Have you told Sia and Angelus yet? Do you have names picked out yet?"

"No, I haven't told Sia and Angelus yet. No, I don't have any names picked out yet." I have to giggle at all his questions. I never knew he would love children so much until Sia and Angelus.

"How about Elric and Tielo if they're boys and if they're girls then Sunnifa and Militsa." I say proudly enjoying the names I've picked.

"What if it's a boy and a girl? What are your two top favorites?" Viola asks with a pout look on her face.

"Then it shall be Elric and Sunnifa. I'm going to go grab a maid and have them bring in Angelus and Sia. Let's share the good news with them together." I answer back by picking my two favorites. A few minutes later Angelus and Sia walk into the room. Angelus climbs on top of the bed and Sia jumps up and down with her tiny arms raised until I pick her up.

"So, we have some big and exciting news to share with you guys. Viola, do you want to go ahead?" I want her to tell the kids.

"So, I'm pregnant with possibly twins and if everything goes alright in a few months you guys might have two new siblings." I say smiling. Sia starts clapping her hands and laughing but Angelus jumps off the bed and runs out of the room. I hand Sia over to Viola and take after Angelus.

When I get into the hallway I look around for Angelus and I can't find him anywhere. I'm starting to wonder if his wolf hasn't woken up because I've noticed how much faster he's become. I ran down the stairs towards his level and then towards his room. When I get to his room and push the door open I see Angelus on the bed crying. "Angel, what's wrong?"

No answer, just crying and sniffling

"Angel, I know something is wrong or you wouldn't have run out of the room."

No answer, just crying and sniffling

"Angel, just tell me why you're crying." He still doesn't answer so I lay down next to him and massage small circles into his back until he's no longer crying.

I sit up and pull him up into a sitting position next to the headboard. "Angel, are you ready to talk now?"

"Now that you have your own kids you won't have any need for Sia and I." Angelus says, rubbing the tears off his face.

"Now that's just ridiculous! Of course we'll need you. You are a permanent part of this family. We can never replace you or Sia. These twins aren't meant to replace you and Sia in the family they are meant to add to our family. Don't forget we also have baby Eve too! She may be my niece but I'll raise her as one of my own." I hope he understands how much he means to Viola and I.

Elena POV

I'm sitting quietly in one of the gardens with Molly trying to come up with a way to help fight with our men. "What if we left the castle and joined in battle mid-fight?"

"Um, I don't think Cyprian would be okay with that. In fact I'm fairly certain he would go completely ballistic if he knew I was even thinking about something like that." Molly started shaking a little thinking of Cyprian getting angry with her. "Girl, you need to live a little. Besides I heard that you were an expert archer and I know how to use a sword plus I'm not too bad at a little witchcraft. My mom was a witch but my parents sold me to a brothel before she taught me a whole lot about the craft. So, most of what I know is bits that I remember from home and pieces that I've collected over the years." I said letting myself remember my mother. It's not often that I remember her, usually I keep those memories blocked out.

"Um, I'll think about it. You may think I'm weird for asking this but do you ever get flashes from your past where you think you're suddenly back in the old memory like it's happening all over again in the present time?" The entire time Molly talks she's playing with her fingers and looking down at her feet.

"Yeah, that happens sometimes. Not too long ago I was brushing my hair sitting at a vanity that Quentin had purchased for me and I saw Lord Aragon's face looking back at me. The next thing I knew I could feel his hands groping me and I was right back in the brothel sitting on that nasty bed waiting for the customer to be brought in while Aragon got his jollie's off in the meantime." I almost feel like I'm being pulled there now. "So, to keep myself here in the present I cut my wrists." It's in the middle of June but I'm wearing lacy long sleeves. I pull up one of my sleeves and show Molly some of the new and old scars. "Quentin doesn't know."

I'm also wearing lacy long sleeves so I pull up one of my sleeves as well to show my old and newer scars "Cyprian knows but he doesn't like it. Last time it happened I locked myself inside the washroom and he sat outside the door until I opened up and let him. When he saw my arm I almost thought he was going to cry too but he didn't. Instead he got some bandages that he had in the room and wrapped my arm up. Then he sat me in his lap and rocked me to sleep so I slept in his arms that night like a baby."

"So, do I have a sister in crime to crash the men's battle?" I give Molly an evil grin.

"If we can get Viola and some of the queens on our side I'll do it." She smiles back shyly.

Cyprian POV

"Cyprian, how many days do you have left until you leave for battle?" Molly asks me.

"Two more days starting tomorrow." I answer while drawing her to my lap while I sit against the headboard in our bed.

"What would you do if Elena and I crashed your battle and showed up to fight?" She asks ever so sweetly.

What in the actual fuck? "I would take you behind the nearest tree and wear your ass out. What kind of a question is that? Why would something like that even come into your brain? I'm going to go wake up Quentin and see if he has any answers because now I'm pissed off."

* Queen Maeve's Dungeon * Emily's POV

My body hurts in so many different places but I can't give up. I have to get out because if I don't I know for sure they will eventually kill me. I'm not quite sure why Lord Garbg is torturing me like this but I know he won't stop until I'm dead so I must at least try to escape and if Gabe thinks he has a plan then I'm willing to risk it. We wait until meal time. First the guard comes to my cell and unlocks the door and puts the bowl inside my cell. Then he moves onto Gabe's cell and unlocks the door and when he bends down to place the down Gabe knees him in the face. It was like watching everything in slow motion. Then Gabe got on top of him and started to slam his head repeatedly into the concrete floor. Finally the guard's eyes weren't moving anymore so Gabe stopped and then he dragged the guard into his cell. Gabe took the guard's keys and unlocked my cell and we started walking up the steps. The steps led to a large open building but we were partially hidden by a hallway to our right and to our left was the door that is supposed to lead to the outside.
