Chapter 65 - The Last Chapter

* The Castle at Drakor; The Capital the Chromos * Lucian POV

The different heads of states have finally left and our family can get back to our normal way of life. Before King Justus and Queen Garcia of the Werewolves left for back home they left behind their top warrior to help train Angelus. We also received more good news from the King and Queen of the Fairies that they know of a living phoenix. They gave us her name and location so that we could take Sia and Angelus to see her as they are probably related but to also ask if she would be willing to train Sia. We're trying to do our best for Sia and Angel by getting them people that are their type of supernatural but I still worry about how good of an upbringing are we giving them.

I've started training in the morning with Angel, then I take him to the office where we relax and I go over things I do as a king again, and then in the afternoon he has his werewolf training. Viola is giving painting lessons to Sia in the morning and music lessons in the afternoon. Their school starts again next week so I'll have to stop training Angel to be the king until their next break. Viola should be ready to have her baby soon. I'm so excited that she's carried this one full term especially with all the excitement that's been happening but she said the children helped to keep her calm and steady.

We all sit together in the common room on the king's floor in front of the fireplace while Angel and I are playing checkers, Viola is holding baby Eve, and Sia is sitting next to Viola while she plays with her dolls. This is what I've dreamed my whole life about. I'm lost in my thoughts when Viola starts to call for baby Eve's nanny.

"I need you to take Evie as I think I'm going into labor." Viola barely gets out as she's struggling to talk while trying to breathe through the cramps.

"Wait! What? You're going into labor? Now?" I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack and that's when I remember that my job is to find the royal doctor.

Evie's nanny used to be a midwife so after she laid Evie down she went back to Viola to assist with the delivery. The royal doctor got there as quickly as he could and then they shut the door and I had to sit outside for twenty six hours. I sat outside in the hallway the entire time. I couldn't eat, drink, or sleep knowing what was happening. Finally I heard a baby's cry and then I heard two babies crying. My eyes got really big and they called me into the room. Viola was sitting up in the bed holding two beautiful baby girls. I sit down on the bed next to Viola and take one of the babies into my arms.

"What do you want to name them?" I ask Viola.

She points to the one in my arms. "She came out first and the one I'm holding came out second. So you name the one you're holding and I'll name mine." She smiles up at me laughing.

"Okay. I name mine Lyudmila and we can call her Mila." I say proudly.

"Okay I name mine Tomislava and we can call her Tomi." She says smiling at me.

I get up to run out and get Angelus and Sia. They both climb up on top of the bed to see the new babies. I introduce Mila to them and Viola introduces them to Tomi. We let them hold the babies coo over them before the midwife comes back in and shoos us all out so Viola can feed the babies so I take the kids to the dining hall to eat breakfast. Have I said how much I love my family?

* Cait: The Capital of the Kingdom of Cait * Cyprian POV

I finally have Molle back home. She's doing better now that we're back to our own little oasis away from the rest of the world. She's giggling more, is more open with me, and wants to cuddle with me more. I have noticed that she's been more clingy since everything that happened which is fine. Late yesterday I found her crying in our bedroom.

"Kitten, what's wrong? What happened?" My mind immediately goes to staff bullying her and even though she says she's getting along with Jillian now I still don't trust her.

"I've been missing you all day. I haven't seen you since early this morning and you even missed breakfast. I don't mean to be so clingy but I really need to be around you right now after what happened." She says while she's sniffling. "Why didn't you come get me then?" I ask as I sit down on the bed next to her.

"You were in meetings with your advisors and I didn't want to embarrass you." She tells me as she plays with her fingers.

"First, you're never an embarrassment to me and you need to stop thinking that about yourself. Second, if you need me for any reason you can always interrupt a meeting that I'm in and I don't care who I'm meeting with, you're more important. Third, if all you need is my attention then just slip inside the meeting and come sit on my lap. I would have loved to have had you in my arms this morning or ask me to come outside so that we can talk. It really is that simple. Now I have a meeting with the lieutenants from the southern army this afternoon. You should join me by sitting on my lap and I'll hold you. Would you like that?" I smile down at Molle and my heart swells when her face lights up.

* Bredon: Capital City of the Salona Kingdom * Wolf POV

Emily and I are finally home in Salona. Gabe came back with us to help Emily because he felt a specause connection to her since they spent time together in the dungeon. I have a ton of meetings to help me get caught up on the goings on of the kingdom and the border while I was gone not to mention a lot of desk work that has sat waiting for me to get back. But I'm very worried about Emily and she comes first so between each meeting I'm taking an hour break to go find her and check on her.

"Hey, I just finished a meeting with my advisors. What have you been up to?" I find Emily sitting outside in the garden talking with her father and Gabe.

"Oh, just catching up with dad over tea and making sure that his health is okay. I also wanted to introduce him to Gabe." She smiles up at me. Smiles are good. I'm glad she's smiling and now all I have to do is make sure she stays smiling. "I wanted to talk about a few things with you. One, being that I want to assign a personal servant to you because you're about to get very busy and another to your father for his health reasons. So, I need your help in picking someone. Second, we have several projects that need to be taken care of here in the capital and I would like for you to spearhead one of them. Lucian informed us in a meeting that the larger cities and capitals of kingdoms need to start building a school, orphan house, and a food bank. He doesn't expect us to build them overnight but he wants to see us at least to get started. What would you like to do? Third, the villages that were damaged from the trolls need to be rebuilt. I've dedicated some of the western army to assist with that but I know I'll need to travel to the villages myself. Would you like to come with me?" I feel like I just made a huge speech so I sit down and pour myself a cup of tea.

"Well, for the project what is most important? For the personal servant I like Henry for dad and Vera for me. Yes, I would like to travel with you." She says smiling.

"Well, in Drakor they started with the school and then the others came later but to the community they are all of equal importance. They've all been tested in Drakor and have shown economic and social improvement." I explain to her hoping that she takes an interest in one of the projects.

"Well, if we are to model ourselves after Drakor, but curtail it to fit our kingdom, I think we should follow them and start with the school. I even know of some vacant houses that we could buy and turn into a school instead of building new to save on costs." She says as her eyes sparkle. I love her interest in the project. My hope is that this keeps her from getting depressed and thinking about the past. "Well, it was nice catching up with you Emily. It seems like you kids have a lot to talk about and I'm going to take a nap." Emily's father gets up and walks off.

"I think I'm going to stretch my wings and check out some of these villages by flying over them." Gabe says and then walks off.

"So, how else have you been?" I pull Emily onto my lap.

"I've been good. I've been writing in a journal and I know how poetic you are so I thought I would show you what I wrote." She hands me the book.

Quentin POV

Elena and I are home and it feels so good to be back. Elena's introduction to the northern army as a general is tomorrow. Today is filled with meetings but I've decided that Elena should participate in these meetings with me and I was so right on. She is smarter than all of my advisors combined. Also, she jumped right into working on the school, orphan house, and food bank. She thinks the food bank should come first because it has the greatest economic and social impact. That caused a lot of debate but I backed her a hundred percent.

When I met with the lieutenants from the northern army I told them of Elena's promotion and they were all surprised but when I told them some of the things she did during battle they calmed down a bit. One of the lieutenants said he was unsure how the men would take it because Elena used to hang out with them so much like she was one of the guys. I said it didn't matter and respect formed at the top and then trickled down. If the men see the lieutenants treating Elena with respect due a general they will follow along.

I'm going to move my study into one of the rarely used guest rooms so that I can fit a desk in there for Elena. I'll let her decorate it if she wants to. So, tomorrow after her ceremony with the northern army we're going to meet with decorators to help us create a study with a sitting area and a small library all in one room.

I'm really proud of the woman that Elena has become. She's no longer the broken and damaged vessel from the brothel, or the girl that gets drunk with the guys, but a strong and smart woman that can fight, attend meetings with her own ideas, and take on projects.
