Rhoda got a real scare from Rupin. She shrank back but mustered up the courage to walk into the room and throw herself into his arms.

Chloe raised an eyebrow at him, “This is the Watson family’s property. What are you inspecting?”

“To see if there are any undesirable suitors around you.”

Chloe chuckled, “Where would there be so many undesirable suitors?”

“Hmph.” Damon snorted, clearly not believing her.

Chloe recently found Damon to be just too cute, thinking about the huge difference between his public persona and how he acted around her…

She moved her hand from his shoulder and wrapped it around his neck; Chloe leaned in and gave him a light peck on the lips.
