Chapter 1572

“You again! I can’t believe how daft you are to come after me again!” Asmodeus was shocked to see that it was Leon.

Considering that he attacked Leon once before while they were at the Thompson’s, he thought Leon would suffer severe injuries from that, and he never once dreamed Leon would show up before him once more, unscathed!

This shocked Asmodeus greatly.

However, he was not the only one surprised by this–even Roanne was stunned to see him.

“Leon, what are you doing here?” Roanne rubbed her eyes, trying to see if she was dreaming this.

She already lost all hope of making it out alive, but now, Leon showed up miraculously in her last moments of despair!

A glimmer of hope ignited within her heart at this.

“I-” Leon’s face was pale as he opened his mouth to explain.

He already prepared himself for this; when Asmodeus found him, he would bring out his Potential Energy Force and kill Asmodeus without a second’s hesitation!

However, reality did not often go as planned, and now that Roanne was standing only a few feet away from Asmodeus, Leon was worried that the malicious Asmodeus would go for Roanne if he insisted on attacking him head–on!

If that happened, he would not be able to save Roanne even if he could use his Potential Energy Force!

At the thought of this, Leon did not dare to make another move for fear of putting Roanne in danger.

“Well, since you’re here already, I might as well send you on your way!” Asmodeus sneered. He was one of the eight most wanted criminals in the city and was renowned for his ruthlessness and lack of remorse. Before Leon could even react, Asmodeus already unleashed a surge of power Leon’s way!

“Oh no!” the color drained from Leon’s face. He wanted to use the Potential Energy Forces against Asmodeus but hesitated out of consideration of Roanne’s position, but now that Asmodeus attacked without warning, he had no choice but to use it–it was either this or death!

However, an idea popped into Leon’s head at the last possible moment. He staggered backward, trying to dodge Asmodeus‘ attack, and yelled, “Don’t you want to know why I’m here, Asmodeus?”

“Um,” Asmodeus paused, and his attack froze in mid–air. Leon’s words reminded him that he managed to evade the Thompsons just a few hours ago, but if so, what was Leon doing here?

“What are you doing here, you twat?” Asmodeus asked coldly, a dubious expression on his face.

“Well, I’ll tell you this–I came with the rest of the Thompsons! They have brought two Almighty Warriors with them, who have already surrounded the house, ready to ambush you at any second. If you want to live, you’d better admit defeat right now, but if you don’t, you’ll suffer a horrific death if you so much as take a step!” Leon snarled, trying to remain calm. As he said this, he silently inched toward the direction of the living room without missing a beat.

“What?” Asmodeus was stunned to hear this. He grabbed hold of his cuff, perking himself up in preparation for combat.

Since he met Leon at the Thompsons‘ place, he assumed Leon was with them, and the fact that Leon managed to track him down so quickly meant that the Thompsons were likely already here too!

The Thompsons were one of the oldest martial arts families in the Southern region, and it would not be difficult for them to send two Almight Warriors on his trail!

Therefore, Asmodeus did not once doubt Leon’s statement at all.

Instead, he remained frozen in place to avoid falling into the warriors‘ trap.

Then, he glanced in every direction of the yard, trying to see if he could sniff out the two warriors‘ hiding place. If anything happened, he could attack them by harnessing the power of the Cuff of Doom, or grab hold of Roanne and use her as a hostage!
