“Iris, we shouldn’t delay the signing of the contract. I’ll go over to the Hughes Group right now. I’ll leave the matters that have piled up in the company to you,” Leon said.

“Yes, alright. Go ahead,” Iris said with a smile.

“Snow, let’s go!” Leon called out to Snow.

Snow’s position was his assistant, so he naturally needed to bring Snow along if he went to sign the contract

at Hughes Group.

“Yes, just wait a moment. I’ll go print out the contract,” Snow said, quickly printing out the company’s

information and two sets of the contract.

“Leon, can I go with you?” Roanne asked with some hesitation.

“Why would you want to go?” Leon was surprised.

Snow was his assistant, so it was normal for Snow to go with him. However, Roanne was Iris‘ assistant, so he did not understand why Roanne would want to come with them.

“I–I’ve been quite bored in the company for the past few days. I just wanted to outside with you,” Roanne said bashfully while she pulled at her clothes.

Ever since Leon saved her over and over, she started to like Leon quite a lot.

On top of that, she did not see Leon for the past few days. She just wanted to get closer to Leon by going to sign a contract with him, wanting to be with Leon for a bit longer.

“Oh, come along then,” Leon quickly answered, not thinking too much about it.

After all, it must have been hard for Roanne to be there alone for the past few days. Since Roanne wanted to go out, he had no reason to reject her.

After that, he, Snow, and Roanne left the company together.

John was also with them. He was Roanne’s guard and tasked with Roanne’s safety.

He was the heir of one of the major families in the Southern Region, the Hughes. His name was Darius Hughes, and he was the General Manager of Hughes Group.

In front of Darius stood a young man about twenty–seven years of age. He looked quite handsome, but there was a hint of arrogance in his eyes.

He was the vice manager of the Hughes Group, Gordon Bailey. He was also related to Hughes by marriage, the husband of Darius‘ sister.

“Gordon, I was asked by Yuri Thompson two days ago for a favor! The Thompsons invested in a high– end cosmetics company, and want to work with the Hughes Group. I’ve already agreed to work with them! I have something urgent that needs me to head out. If the Thompsons come over to sign the agreement, then make sure to treat them well. Sign the contract for me as well,” Darius said.

The Thompsons were the head of the major families in the Southern Region, and more powerful than the Hughes were. Furthermore, Yuri was quite good friends with him.
